The Azure Longsword

Chapter 63: Questioning and killing

Views:

As they continued walking, they saw more corpses on the roadside.

The dead were all innocent citizens of Constantinople, most of whom were stabbed in the back.

Many of the corpses had their wrists or fingers chopped off in order to steal their watches and rings, making their deaths extremely horrific and cruel.

However, none of them were as shocking as the bodies of the mother and child at the beginning.

Medea looked through her mind body's vision and found that Sidlifa's mind color was blood red full of murderous intent, while Eleanor's was deep red of anger.

Paige and Mia are the teal color of disgust and repulsion, while Nora is the dark green color representing sadness and sorrow.

Even Mi'er, who had always had a blank expression on her face, had her mental body turn a slightly sad light green.

Only Ask's mental body is always gray, as dull as steel.

calm.

Even though this man saw a hellish scene, he still remained unshakable calm and rational, without even the slightest emotional fluctuation.

Medea licked the corner of her mouth and felt her curiosity growing stronger and stronger to understand this man's soul more deeply.

Eleanor walked in front with a spear and shield, and Sidlifa followed beside her with a battle axe.

Mia was already cruising and scouting a hundred meters ahead, providing the team with a basic early warning mechanism.

"Three enemies." Mia's voice finally rang out on the radio channel, "Sixty meters ahead, they are walking out of the store."

Following the direction Mia indicated, the crowd approached quickly and saw three Frankish knights walking out of the store. Almost every one of them was wearing colorful clothes that had just been stripped off corpses. Their pockets were filled with rings and watches, and they carried a bag made of rags on their backs, which contained the mobile phones they had just looted from the store.

"Asker." Eleanor's deep voice sounded on the radio channel, "Can you wait for me?"

"You want to do it yourself?" Ask asked.

"I want to ask them a few questions," said Eleanor.

Asker fell silent. Out of professional habit, he subconsciously wanted to reject such naive behavior, but Medea's previous words reminded him.

After all, a team that is bound together by interests cannot last long. If everyone's values are not in line, it will eventually fall apart one day.

A sense of belonging to a team...it still needs to be cultivated appropriately.

"Go ahead," Ask said. "Be careful. Sidlifa, go support her."

"Okay." Sidlifa agreed readily.

Three Frankish knights came over, talking and laughing, and suddenly stopped vigilantly.

Eleanor stood in the middle of the road, looking at them coldly, the spear and shield in her hands reflecting a chilling light.

"You..." Eleanor asked slowly, "Do you understand what you are doing?"

"Mercenaries from Constantinople?" The Frankish knights drew their swords and sabers, but Eleanor's next words stunned them.

"Are you still believers in God?" As Eleanor questioned, the faces of the three Frankish knights immediately turned pale.

"Your emperor broke his promise first!" a Frankish knight shouted, "We came here to kill the pagans! But your emperor promised to pay the ship's fare, but he suddenly changed his mind. Does he want us to drift on the sea like this?"
