The next day, Ask woke up in the manor on Hearthfire Island.

When we arrived at the lobby on the first floor, Nora had already prepared breakfast for everyone: milk, fried eggs, salad, and bread with cutlets.

"How did the skewers taste yesterday?" Nora asked Ask at the table, "I used three different seasonings to marinate the skewers. Which one do you like better?"

"The saltier kind," Ask replied.

Saltier

Before Nora could figure out which one it was, Ask had already teleported away from Hearthfire Island.

Peggy was the one who was in charge of guarding the ancient books last night. He appeared in the hotel room and patted Peggy on the shoulder.

"Let me take over next. You can go back to have breakfast."

"Yeah." Peggy nodded and asked, "Ask, are you still going to comprehend the new rules today?"

"Yes." Ask said with a smile, "After I understand it, I will be promoted to Lv.19, the same as you."

"Then." Peggy blinked her eyes and said hopefully, "Then I won't be promoted to demigod yet, and I'll wait for you, okay?"

"Why?" Ask was surprised.

"Because I want to become a demigod with you." Peggy said.

"So why did you have to be promoted to demigod with me?" Ask didn't know whether to laugh or cry. "It's not like we're graduating with the same degree, and we can't attend the same graduation ceremony. Whether you're promoted earlier or later, there's no difference at all, right?"

Peggy went back with a disappointed look on her face, while Ask took the ancient book and walked towards the "Diamond Point House" where the Plantagenet Mercenaries were stationed.

At 8 o'clock in the morning, the Highland Swordsmen and Lobster Lancers were getting ready to leave when they saw Ask walking out of the alley next to them.

Everyone: …

For some reason, after being crazy hated by this guy yesterday, the Plantagenet mercenaries were surprisingly calm when they saw him again today.

Just ignore it.

Walking along the eastward slope, close to the location of yesterday's battlefield, everyone saw black smoke rising above the fortress from a distance.

The Plantagenet Mercenaries hurriedly accelerated their advance and finally arrived at the bottom of the city wall in time to repel a wave of undead attacks.

"They attacked last night!" When the mercenaries requested to enter the fortress to rest, the guards on the city wall shouted, "Our general was shot in the shoulder by a bone spear and is now recovering! He ordered that the fortress should not be open to anyone! Even the Plantagenet Mercenaries!"

The mercenaries were fine at first, but when they heard the last sentence, they couldn't help but start making loud noises.

But even if they complained, the Plantagenet Mercenaries were a regular team after all, and they couldn't just turn around and attack the fortress - even if they did, they would most likely be backstabbed by the undead.

Therefore, everyone could only continue to advance towards the southeast with their heads down, preparing to fight the undead coming over there, thinking that today would definitely be another tough battle.

Although everyone had learned from yesterday's lesson and brought portable dry food and water bottles with them, if the undead continued to attack and fight, they might not even have time to replenish their food and water.

If the guards in the fortress were willing to come out to support, the Plantagenet mercenaries could take the time to sit down and eat some dry food and drink some water, and their combat endurance would be greatly enhanced. Unfortunately, the fortress was now closed, and they could do nothing about the guards.
