Ask jumped back again, just in time to avoid the zombie's attack.
"Give it back to me..." Alexander's corpse began to scream, "Give it back to me!"
"What's in return?" Ask asked.
"Oh, I see." Seeing it staring at Peggy on his back, Ask smiled and said, "You want her, right?"
"Let me guess: her mental body is gone. It should be in the ocean of subconsciousness, together with your superego? And then you want to use her spirit body to reversely lock her mental body, and then follow the clues to find your dead superego?"
"Finally resurrected?"
The zombie didn't answer, but just kept opening and closing its jaw, making a clicking sound.
"Then I'll take this as your agreement, okay?" Ask sneered, "What's the point of hiding behind this corpse? Can't you come out and talk to me?"
Seeing no response from the other party, he continued:
"The reason why the id is called the 'id' is because it is the purest instinct of the human body and is incapable of doing such highly intelligent and complex things as 'looking for the superego'."
"There must be a manipulator behind the scenes who is manipulating this corpse to talk to me on purpose, making me think that it is Alexander himself who wants to be resurrected, right?"
"And her loss of control earlier, isn't that too coincidental? When I realized something was wrong with her and turned back, less than a minute had passed before she was separated from the team ahead? The underworld doesn't have the ability to distort space."
"Continuous coincidences are not coincidences. I guess this was not your original plan, but because you discovered our existence and changed your approach on a whim, so so many loopholes were revealed."
Alexander's zombie stared at him blankly, then suddenly opened its mouth and uttered a mysterious voice that was indistinguishable between male and female:
"hehe."
"A demigod of the Undead Order, right?" Ask stared at it and said, "Given that the upper limit of the Demonic Tide is Lv. 5, you must have used some kind of prop to remotely control this corpse with a tiny enough spiritual power to avoid any damage to yourself."
"Since you understand," the corpse said, "then you should also understand that facing a demigod who is pulling the strings, you, who is only Lv. 3, have no chance."
"Whether there is a chance or not, you won't know until you try," said Ask.
He carried Peggy on his back and rushed towards the zombies with a sword in hand.
The latter swung his sword, creating three phantoms, but this time he did not choose to move, but just rushed straight towards him.
Ask did not stop, and with a bend of his body, he passed through the three phantoms safely. The latter froze in place, and suddenly split into two, being neatly split into two pieces.
"Two counterattacks." The corpse sighed leisurely, "Exquisite body movement skills, but it must have consumed a lot of your physical strength."
"How many times can you use this technique while carrying someone on your back?"
"If you want to wait until I run out of energy," Ask rushed straight towards the zombie, "you'll have to wait a long time."
"Maybe." The zombies retreated quickly, "but they will eventually run out."
"But my Immortal Phantom Sword is truly infinite."
