September 2, 1991 was a Monday.
Today, Dracula also had his first class as the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts.
Nine o'clock in the morning is the time when the first class at Hogwarts begins. Under the influence of magic, the bell on the tower rings throughout the campus on time.
Dracula also pushed open the side door of the office the moment the bell rang, and walked down the marble steps in front of the right side of the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom.
Half of the students under the podium wore school robes with red collars, while the majority wore school robes with yellow collars. It was obvious that they were little wizards from Gryffindor and Hufflepuff.
At this moment, they sat neatly in their seats, looking at the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor with intense eyes.
The little wizards from both the Lion and Badger Houses were secretly wondering in their hearts, will this professor with outstanding appearance and temperament have teaching ability as extraordinary as his appearance, or will he be just a facade and as bad as the previous professors
"Good morning, everyone." Dracula simply greeted the students.
He stood still on the podium, raised his eyes and glanced at the young wizards below the stage, and found two familiar faces among them, the Gryffindor Weisley twins.
"Good morning, professor!" the students in the audience said in unison.
Dracula nodded and continued:
"After yesterday's banquet, I'm sure everyone knows that I am your new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. You can call me Professor Dracula."
"I hope you can make me happy in the following time... No, I mean, I hope everyone can have a good time."
Dracula almost spoke the truth without changing his expression, and immediately switched to the main topic, "Okay, without further ado, let's start the first class of this semester. What we are going to talk about today is..."
Having said that, he glanced at his empty hands and the smooth desk with only a teaching stick on it, and paused for a moment.
Dracula discovered that because he was lazy and wanted to save trouble, the textbook he had chosen according to convention, "The Dark Arts: A Guide to Self-Defense", and the thick lesson plan that his teaching assistant Quirrell had worked so hard to write, were all left on the table in the office.
In other words, he came to teach students with nothing in his hands...
Even though the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor's office was very close to the classroom, and even though Dracula could make the teaching materials fly over with a snap of his fingers, doing so would make the new professor seem overly unprofessional.
He wouldn't allow something like this to happen in his first class!
So Dracula smiled calmly and changed the topic: "... The content is a spellcasting ability test!"
Looking at the confused faces of the little wizards, he gave a malicious smile.
"All of you, use your best spell on me in turn." Dracula said, "You are already third-year students. Let me see what you have learned in these two years at Hogwarts!"
Without waiting for the students to react, he walked down the podium and came to a little wizard sitting in the first row.
"Let's start with you, little Hufflepuff gentleman," he said to the young wizard in the yellow collar.
Looking at the young man in front of him whose face was still a little immature but already very handsome, Dracula showed a hint of admiration in his eyes, feeling that he had some of the temperament of a vampire aristocrat.
"Professor Dracula, isn't this inappropriate?" The Hufflepuff boy hesitated.
"There's no need to be timid in class." Dracula raised his lips and asked provocatively, "If you don't even have the courage to attack the professor, how can you become an outstanding wizard?"
After hearing this, the boy nodded heavily, "I understand, Professor."
He gritted his teeth and raised his wand towards Dracula—
"Stupefy!"
Dracula smiled, raised his hand slightly, and took the stunning spell with his palm.
If you look closely, you can see that when the spell hit Dracula's palm, it was like running water colliding with rock. The magic power attached to it cut through the skin, then flowed away, and finally dissipated into the air without causing any harm to him.
The little wizards in the classroom all opened their mouths wide, looking at this scene in disbelief.
"You cast spells neatly, which is quite good for your age." Ignoring the shock of the young wizards, Dracula nodded with satisfaction and asked, "What's your name?"
"Diggory, Professor. My name is Cedric Diggory," the Hufflepuff boy said.
"Good, that's a good Stunning Spell, Mr. Diggory." Dracula praised, "Let me think about what reward the professor should give to the students... Oh, and five points for Hufflepuff!"
Dracula was very pleased with Cedric's spell.
The first student tested had such a high level of spellcasting, which made him recognize the teaching level of Hogwarts to a certain extent. At least it did not disappoint the high expectations of his four best friends a thousand years ago.
Next, Dracula began to test the spellcasting abilities of other students with great anticipation, wanting to see what surprises they could bring him.
However, the students did bring a lot of "surprises".
The more he tested, the darker his face became.
It wasn't until he tested a Hufflepuff student who couldn't cast any spells that Dracula finally lost his patience.
"What did you do in the two years at Hogwarts? Huh? Did you just learn how to eat?!" he said coldly. The cloak behind him moved without wind, and the entire Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom was filled with a terrifying atmosphere.
The little wizards were so frightened that they froze in place, not daring to move. Some of the timid ones even cried out of fear.
"Forget it, I'm too lazy to waste time like this." Dracula pointed impatiently at all the little wizards in the audience, "All of you, cast your best spells on me together!"
"The people with the most powerful spells will have no homework, and the five people with the least powerful spells will have double the homework. They will be detained in my office tonight!"
Hearing Dracula's words, Cedric stood up in shock.
"Professor, don't be impulsive! It's easy for someone teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts to get into trouble!"
"I'm not impulsive. I'm just too lazy to waste time." Dracula said indifferently, "The power of your spells can't even tickle me."
For a moment, the young wizards were stunned by his conceited words.
The only people in the classroom who were sitting together were Fred and George, who winked at each other.
The twins were so happy. Was this year so exciting? Was the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor going to be sent away on the first day of school
Doesn't that mean they earned twenty gold galleons for nothing? !
