The Blood Professor at Hogwarts

Chapter 142: Lockhart is out of luck

Views:

The two vampires, Dracula and Tesla, emerged from the dark moon and appeared together in front of a wooden house that looked very simple but very exquisitely renovated.

Not far from the wooden house is a green lettuce field. Almost half of the lettuce seedlings have been harvested, and the remaining lettuces are still green and growing well under the moonlight.

Seeing this familiar piece of lettuce, Tesla's eyes were deeply touched.

It was these lettuces that made him eat them for a whole week despite being extremely hungry! It was also because these lettuces gave him a little energy that allowed him to drag his weak body all the way from Serbia to Romania and finally send the valuable information back to Dracula's Castle.

"Robert!"

Tesla couldn't control his inner emotions of missing the person, and stumbled towards the simple wooden house, shouting loudly.

"Robert, are you there? I'm here to see you!"

He called out again and again, but no one answered. Tesla's expression was a little confused at first, and then he became more and more sad and desperate.

Just as he was about to break into the cabin to see what had happened to his old friend, the window of the cabin suddenly opened.

"Who is it? Why are you yelling here so late at night?" Robert's old face poked out from the window and looked out with an unhappy look on his face. "It's really strange. I have lived in seclusion in such a remote place. How can there be people doing such bad things in this forest?"

Tesla's sentimental expression froze on his face.

As a vampire, it was normal for him to be active at night, so he subconsciously regarded Robert's sleeping time as daytime, thinking that he should not be resting at this time...

Robert did not have the excellent night vision like vampires. He stuck his head out and looked for a long time, but he did not see Dracula and Tesla, the two vampires wearing dark clothes.

Seeing no one responded, he cursed and said "bad luck", then slammed the wooden window in the room.

“How should I put it… Although Robert doesn’t remember you, we can at least see that he is very confident.” Dracula patted Tesla’s shoulder and comforted him, “Obviously, the sequelae of the forgetfulness spell have not manifested in him, so you don’t have to worry about the safety of your friend.”

Tesla listened to Dracula's consolation and nodded with a rather amused look.

But he still didn't want to believe that his old friend, who had gone through difficult times with him, would forget him so carelessly.

So Tesla walked to the wooden window outside Robert's room and knocked gently on the window frame.

"Robert, it's me, Tesla." Tesla said softly, "I'm here to visit you. Can you come out and chat with me for a while?"

A moment later, the wooden window was pushed open.

"Were you the one who was yelling outside just now?" Robert was shirtless, looking at Tesla in front of the window with an unhappy face. "Why didn't I go to sleep so late at night, but came out to chat with you? Who do you think you are?"

"Don't you recognize me? I am your good friend traveling on the same ship with you, Tesla!" Tesla said anxiously.

Robert looked at him silently, his eyes moving, as if he was thinking or recalling something.

A hint of joy appeared in Tesla's eyes, thinking that Robert remembered the existence of his vampire friend.

But the next moment, Robert spoke mercilessly:

"I don't know how you got my name and where I live. But I have to tell you one thing - young man, don't be unwilling to work hard and think of taking shortcuts all day long. I stopped being the Auror Captain of the Serbian Ministry of Magic a long time ago. It's useless for you to get close to me!"

"Listen to my advice, work hard, and hone your skills at the grassroots level for a few more years. When it's your turn, it will be your turn! Think about me back then. I started as an ordinary trainee in the Auror team and worked my way up to become the captain of the Auror Brigade. It took me more than 30 years in total. Have I ever complained? No!"

"You must have my hard-working spirit, so that the head of the Auror Office will pick you out of the crowd at first sight! Then you will have the opportunity to stand out. Coupled with your long-term training at the grassroots level, becoming an Auror captain like me is definitely not a dream!"

Tesla couldn't help but twitch his eyes as he listened to Robert's tireless and instructive teachings.

And Dracula in the distance was leaning happily against a tree on the distant hillside, posing his classic posture of watching a show - he never thought that helping his subordinates to visit a friend in the barren mountains and forests in the middle of the night would actually be such a great pleasure!

This is definitely a pleasant surprise!

Robert in the cabin was still giving a speech. He thought the young Tesla was an eager trainee Auror, and thought he had come to such a remote place just to build a relationship with the former Auror Captain, fantasizing about getting promoted through the old captain's relationship.

"Young man, I won't mind you disturbing my rest this time. But you must remember what I told you today! Only those who endure the most hardships can become the best!"

After saying that, the shirtless Robert patted Tesla's shoulder solemnly, then slammed the window of the room shut.

The air suddenly became extremely quiet.

Tesla looked at the closed wooden window in front of him, and thought of Robert's earnest words just now, and felt like laughing.

But he was feeling very depressed in his heart, for he knew that this good friend who had saved his life and with whom he had drifted on the Danube had really forgotten him.

Dracula walked slowly from a distance, looked at Tesla's face which seemed to be neither smiling nor crying, and sighed softly.

"Tesla, what are your plans now?" he asked.

When Tesla saw Dracula coming, he silently turned his head and wiped the tiny tears from the corners of his eyes, trying to calm down his complicated emotions.

"I'm sorry to have embarrassed you, Lord Dracula." He said softly, "I wonder if you have any clues about the villain who wiped out Robert's memory. I will definitely repay blood with blood and take revenge!"

"Well... I have more than just clues here." Dracula chuckled and said, "In fact, I have found the wizard who erased Robert's memory. It was from him that I learned that there was a person like Robert who dared to make friends with vampires."

"Besides, you don't have to bother looking for someone. I have already captured the wizard..."

When Dracula mentioned the word "catch", he suddenly stopped talking. He thought of a very crucial question -

In the evening, he received an emergency signal from Selina and became very anxious. So he completely ignored Lockhart who was still beside him, and instantly left the Danube and went to Bran Castle in Romania...

In other words, Lockhart, who had lost his memory, seemed to have been thrown by him on the bank of the Danube!

The Danube River at night appears fragmented under the starry sky.

Countless stars were crushed in the ripples of the river. A gentle breeze blew, bringing up layer upon layer of ripples. A few leaves floated up and down on the lake, adding a few trivial flaws to the bright stars.

Right next to such a beautiful river, there lay a sloppy man who was covered in dirt and wearing only a pair of shorts.

The man's face and hair were covered with dried, hard, yellowish soil, and his entire body was covered in gray, as if he had rolled on the dirty ground countless times.

Even so, if you look closely, you might be able to vaguely make out his handsome face and features, as well as his golden hair covered with hair wax.

When Dracula and Tesla arrived at the bank of the Danube, this is what they saw -

Lockhart fell to the ground, covered in dirt, and groaned in pain from time to time. However, because Dracula forgot to remove the spell that silenced him, his two lips were still stuck together, and he couldn't shout out happily, which added a bit of desolation.

"Lord Dracula, I am too stupid to understand why you brought me here to find such a down-and-out homeless man." Tesla looked at Lockhart lying on the ground, hesitated for a moment, and finally couldn't help but ask Dracula.

Even with Dracula's eyes, he hesitated for a long time before barely recognizing that this was Lockhart. At this point he had no idea where to start.

"Well..." he said depressedly, "I don't know how to explain it to you, but the homeless man you mentioned is actually the wizard who erased Robert's memory..."

Looking at Lockhart's miserable state, not to mention Tesla, Dracula is also in a daze.

He didn't understand how Lockhart had gotten himself into this state in just a few hours...

"Ah?" Tesla couldn't help but exclaimed in astonishment after listening to Dracula's explanation, "Robert's memory was wiped out by such a guy?"

Tesla felt uncomfortable when he thought that Robert would be tricked by such a horrible homeless man.

At this time, Lockhart also raised his head because of Tesla's scream and saw Dracula approaching.

"Uh uh huh! Uh huh—"

His lips were stuck together, so he could only shout with his mouth closed. He stood up crying and rushed towards Dracula with tears and snot.

Dracula reached out his hand in disgust, stopped Lockhart a foot in front of him, and at the same time removed the silencing spell on his mouth.

"Wow... Wow—" Lockhart finally opened his mouth and burst into tears.

His crying was heart-wrenching, heart-wrenching, and painful, and it made anyone who saw it sad and heard it cry...

"Okay, okay, tell me what happened tonight. How did you get yourself like this?" Seeing him crying so sadly, Dracula was too embarrassed to speak harshly anymore and could only ask in a tone that was comforting a child.

After crying for a long time, Lockhart sobbed and trembled as he told Dracula what had happened before.

"Where did you go before? Why did you leave me alone?!" He let his tears and snot flow into his mouth and cried loudly, "Not long after you left, I felt very hungry. But I didn't dare to go far, for fear that I wouldn't be able to find you when you came back. So I just dared to look for something nearby to fill my stomach..."

Lockhart is indeed a well-known writer in the wizarding world. Even though he has lost his memory, his storytelling ability is still quite outstanding.

It turned out that in order to maintain his best image, Lockhart didn't even eat anything when he held a tea party at Madam Puddifoot's Tea House. He was on an empty stomach from morning to afternoon, and appeared in front of his fans in a tight robe with his good figure.

By night, Lockhart, who hadn't eaten for a day, felt hungry even though he had lost his memory. But he didn't know anyone and didn't have any opinions of his own, so he didn't dare to leave Dracula, his only supporter.

When Dracula received the emergency message and left the banks of the Danube, Lockhart felt unprecedented panic. He did not dare to go far and could only look for food to fill his stomach nearby.

He was lucky enough to see a few young men having a picnic on the river bank, so Lockhart shamelessly gestured and tried to beg for some food from them.

However, these guys are not good people. Most of them are street thugs who bully the weak and fear the strong, and are hated by everyone.

These hooligans asked Lockhart for money on the spot.

But Lockhart had no Muggle coins, so he rummaged around in his pocket and pulled out a few gold Galleons, thinking they could buy enough food.

However, it was these pure gold coins that gave the gangsters evil intentions.

They surrounded Lockhart, beat him up viciously, and then searched his body. These hooligans found more than a dozen gold coins and several silver coins from Lockhart, which made them very excited.

During the body search, the hooligans discovered that Lockhart's clothes were made of very good material. So they stripped him of all his clothes, only to leave him a pair of shorts out of kindness before walking away.

After listening to Lockhart's story, Dracula was deeply moved.

Who could have thought that the famous writer in the magic world who was so proud in the morning and the dream lover of many witches would suddenly become a poor guy bullied by gangsters at night

He turned to look at Tesla beside him.

"You see, this wizard has lost his previous memories, and his brain is probably completely broken." Dracula said, "Now I hand him over to you. You can take revenge however you want. I won't interfere."

Tesla was silent for a long time as he looked at Lockhart, who was frozen beside him and in a state of disgrace.

"Forget it." He sighed and said softly, "He has learned enough lessons. If I retaliate against him under such circumstances, I will lose my noble dignity as a vampire."

"Are you sure?" Dracula asked with a chuckle.

"Well, I'm sure." Tesla nodded, "I have other things to do. There's no need to waste my time on a fool."

He turned and walked in the direction of Robert's cabin.

"Lord Dracula, thank you very much for telling me this. Otherwise, I might not have known until Robert's death that he had lost all his memories of me." Tesla took two steps, suddenly stopped, turned around and bowed solemnly to Dracula.

"Also, may I ask you and Lord Alcatel for some time off? I need to run some personal business."

Dracula studied Tesla's persistent expression with interest, chuckled, and nodded at him.

"Thank you for your generosity, Lord Dracula!" Tesla bowed deeply again.

Then, with a determined look in his eyes, he walked towards Robert's cabin.

Tesla stayed under the eaves of Robert's cabin until dawn.

The sun rose slowly from the hills in the east, bringing a rosy glow. The layers of clouds in the distance reflected a strange light, shining into Robert's wooden window.

As an elderly man living alone, Robert has a very precise biological clock. He gets up on time, opens the wooden door, and walks out carrying a sickle.

Looking at the bright sunshine, he yawned sleepily.

I was sleeping well last night, but was woken up by a young man who showed up from nowhere.

Robert was a little depressed.

Really, how can you try to get close to someone in the middle of the night when others are resting? This kind of tactless guy will definitely not be able to please his boss. He should rely on his own unremitting efforts to make progress!

Robert was very satisfied with his teaching last night. He couldn't help but smile happily, humming an old song, and walked towards the other half of the lettuce field that had not been harvested yesterday.

Looking at the green lettuce seedlings, he felt even more comfortable. These simple crops could bring him spiritual comfort.

"Robert." Just then, a voice called to him.

Robert turned around in confusion and looked under the eaves - there was a figure in a formal suit, with a short haircut and a goatee, standing in the sunlightless shadow under the eaves.

"Young man, didn't I tell you? I'm no longer the Auror Captain!" Robert said helplessly when he saw the young man he met last night. "Besides, how can you try to get close to someone like that? At the very least, you should wait two or three days until the leader has almost forgotten about you before coming back!"

"I'm telling you, young people like you should hone your skills at the grassroots level..."

"Actually... I'm not here to get close to you." Tesla interrupted Robert's long speech and said with a smile.

"Oh?" Robert was stunned.

"I'm a little hungry, and I didn't find anything to eat." Tesla looked at Robert deeply and said softly,

"Robert, can I have two lettuces?"
