The Blood Professor at Hogwarts

Chapter 39: A broom out of control

Views:

Dracula was standing on a high stand at the edge of the Quidditch field, holding an umbrella.

His face had an expression that said "no strangers allowed", which formed a sharp contrast with the warm atmosphere of the little wizards around him.

Out of awe for the professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts, the young wizards consciously left him enough space, while they themselves gathered crowdedly in the four corners of the stands and trembled.

Madam Hooch, the referee, stood in the middle of the court, holding her broomstick, waiting for the players from both teams to enter.

Harry glanced towards the stands and first saw a banner flying high with the words "Potter Must Win" shining above the crowd; then he saw Professor Dracula standing alone on the platform with an umbrella, looking extremely conspicuous.

Dracula nodded to Harry, who was standing on the Quidditch pitch in his gold and red uniform.

Harry tightened his grip on the Nimbus 2000.

The support from his Gryffindor friends and the encouragement from the professor made him feel happy and he felt that he had the courage to defeat Slytherin!

After a brief speech, Madam Hooch blew her silver whistle loudly, and the next moment, fifteen broomsticks took off at the same time and rose high into the sky.

The game has begun.

Afterwards, Dracula fell into a state of boredom.

He was not very interested in the little wizards riding brooms and the various flying balls with wings flying around in the sky. These things were far slower than he could fly, and when watching the game, he did not feel the same excitement as the little wizards, but only felt very bored.

What's more, it's a sunny day now, and it's difficult for Dracula to maintain a good mood in such weather.

He looked around at the little wizards around him, watching them cheering and screaming with boredom, and feeling the noisy voices and vibrations in the audience stands with annoyance.

Dracula tried to slip away from the stands several times, but he always found that Harry, the Gryffindor Seeker, would look at his position inadvertently when searching for the Golden Snitch, as if expecting his approval.

So in order not to disappoint the little fan, Dracula had to stand where he was and endure this atmosphere which was not very comfortable for vampires.

Just when he was about to be unable to bear the boredom and was about to leave despite the little wizard's expectations, Dracula suddenly found a little wizard in a yellow and black team uniform sitting among a group of Hufflepuff badgers, watching the game and taking out a pen and notebook from time to time to take down some notes.

This young wizard named Cedric Diggory had the potential to be a vampire aristocrat in his face and temperament, and Dracula admired him very much.

So he snapped his fingers and conjured up a giant bat. As soon as the bat appeared, it flapped its wings and flew to the next stand, grabbing Cedric.

Cedric was suddenly grabbed by a huge bat's claws and was immediately shocked.

However, Dracula's Defense Against the Dark Arts class was not in vain. He reacted quickly and took out his wand from his pocket, ready to cast a spark spell to send a signal to the professors.

However, the bat quickly dropped him into the next stand and disappeared into thin air.

"Good morning, Mr. Diggory." A familiar voice sounded in Cedric's ears.

Dracula enlarged the parasol and poked it into the ground, covering an area on the stands where the sun rarely penetrated.

"Just sit anywhere." He lay on the bench that he had just transformed with Transfiguration, pointed to another chair, and said to Cedric for fun, "I saw you were taking some notes just now. What did you write?"

Seeing Dracula, the "most terrifying professor in Hogwarts", approaching, Cedric secretly cast a look for help to his Quidditch teammates.

However, the teammates who were originally prepared to lend a helping hand and rescue Cedric from the claws of the big bat turned their heads away after seeing Dracula, as if to say, "I don't know Cedric."

Even his class leader, Truman, gave him a helpless look and told him to mourn on his own.

"Good morning, Professor." Cedric had to face Professor Dracula alone, and said with a stiff upper lip, "Actually, I'm the seeker for the Hufflepuff Quidditch team, and I'm currently observing the methods Potter uses as a seeker."

"What do you think of Potter's skills?" Dracula asked boredly.

"Very good, for his age," Cedric praised.

At this moment, the subject of the conversation between the two men made a sharp turn and flew over their heads. The figures of the two seekers, one in front and one behind, were blocked by Dracula's big umbrella, which made Cedric, who was watching with great interest, anxious.

"Professor, it's a sunny day today. Do you still need an umbrella?" he couldn't help asking. "Also, you are wearing only a thin wizard robe in this weather. Aren't you really not cold?"

"It's not cold." Dracula adjusted his red and black cloak and said casually, "Besides, I really hate sunbathing. It should be normal to put a parasol under the sun, right?"

As the chat time went on, Cedric gradually relaxed his inhibitions and started chatting happily with Dracula.

However, the good times did not last long, as an unexpected situation suddenly occurred on the Quidditch field -

High in the sky, Harry's broomstick started to behave abnormally from some point on. The broom was twitching and twisting wildly, slowly and higher and higher, taking him away from the stadium.

"What kind of tactic is this?" Sitting next to Dracula, Cedric looked at Harry through a telescope, not knowing what he was up to. "Is this a new type of psychological game to deceive the opponent?"

Dracula's wine-red eyes moved slightly and he looked directly at the scene that was unfolding.

Harry's broomstick began to tumble and roll, and he was just barely holding on to it. Suddenly, the broomstick lurched wildly again, and Harry was thrown off it. He was now hanging in the air with only one hand holding onto the broomstick handle.

"Wait, this is not the so-called Quidditch tactics. There is really something wrong with Potter's broom!" Dracula said with a frown.

As he said this, he immediately turned his gaze to Quirrell on the other stand.

However, the development of things seems to be unexpected -

Originally, Dracula thought that Quirrell had already defected to Voldemort, and all his tests were for the Philosopher's Stone that Voldemort needed. This time he attacked Harry Potter to vent Voldemort's anger.

But while Harry was struggling with his broom, Nimbus 2000, Quirrell did not make any unusual movements.

Now, he was enjoying the game with great interest, with no sign of using any spells.
