The Blood Professor at Hogwarts

Chapter 6: Professors at Hogwarts

As a magic school with a long history, being a professor at Hogwarts is not easy.

Although due to the curse, the position requirements of Defense Against the Dark Arts professors have been lowered again and again over the past few decades, the most basic tasks such as marking homework, writing teaching plans, and making examination papers still need to be done by professors themselves.

However, these simple tasks that require a lot of repetition are extremely boring to Dracula.

So he thought of a solution.

"Are you sure you want to hire Quirrell as your teaching assistant?" Dumbledore asked as he comforted the frightened Phoenix Fawkes and looked helplessly at Dracula who suddenly appeared.

In fact, Dracula, who holds the title deed to Hogwarts, basically has all the authority in the castle. The anti-Apparition spell and various defensive spells here have no effect on him at all, so he can freely roam every corner of Hogwarts.

This time he Apparated to the principal's office and scared Fox who was taking a nap.

Dracula stroked the trembling bird in Dumbledore's arms, and then sat down opposite him.

"Of course, I'm not interested in doing those boring jobs." He said as he took the bloody lollipop from Dumbledore's hand and put it in his mouth.

"Weren't you planning to approve Quirrell's application? I think his teaching ability should be fine."

Dracula was very satisfied with the idea he had just thought of. It could not only allow him to escape from those boring things, but also allow him to study Quirrell's little secrets up close. Why not do it

Looking at the rather arrogant vampire in front of him, Dumbledore rubbed his eyebrows and felt a bit of a headache.

"To be honest, the Defense Against the Dark Arts class at Hogwarts is notorious, and basically no serious wizard would be willing to teach here." He explained seriously, "So even though I'm not too sure about Quirrell's teaching ability, since he's willing to join, I'll naturally welcome him."

"Besides, school is about to start, and we don't have the budget to hire an extra teaching assistant."

"These are all minor issues." Dracula bit off the lollipop and threw it out of the window. "Just give half of my salary to Quirrell."

Dracula, who had accumulated wealth for thousands of years, said proudly, "You can just write to Quirrell and ask if he is willing to come. As the actual majority shareholder of Hogwarts, it shouldn't be too much for me to hire a teaching assistant, right?"

Dumbledore had no choice but to pick up his quill and write a letter of appointment to Quirrell as a teaching assistant, which he sent by owl.

Seeing this, Dracula nodded with satisfaction, stood up and walked to the window of the principal's office.

"Wait a moment, Professor Dracula." Dumbledore suddenly called him.

Dracula turned around.

"Are you free now?" Dumbledore asked. "The professors are almost all here. Do you want to go to the Great Hall to have a meal and get to know each other?"

Dracula finally decided to go to the auditorium to meet with the professors.

After all, they are colleagues who will work together for a long time in the future. If things go wrong, it will not be convenient for him to have fun in Hogwarts...

Together with Dumbledore, Dracula went down the automatically revolving staircase in the headmaster's office on the eighth floor to the fourth floor of the castle, then walked along the corridor to the other corner, and then walked down a long stone staircase in a circle.

"It's much easier to jump out the window." Dracula said boredly after finishing another bloody lollipop.

"Professor Dracula, you should know that you will be a formal professor soon." Dumbledore said with a smile, "As a professor, you should set a good example for your students. If some troublemakers learn to jump out of the window from you, I'm afraid Madam Pomfrey in the school infirmary will blame you."

"Besides that, in order to prevent those nosy parents from finding fault with Hogwarts, you'd better hide your vampire features. Nico told me that you are different from other vampires and can do this."

"What a hassle." Dracula curled his lips.

However, for the interesting things that were about to happen in Hogwarts, he silently retracted his sharp fangs.

After a while, the two finally walked up a wide marble staircase and arrived at the entrance of the Hogwarts Great Hall.

As soon as he entered the hall, a tall, thin, black-haired witch in an emerald green robe came over and said to Dumbledore with a serious face:

"Albus, the quality of our school staff really needs to be improved. Can you believe that I was almost hit by a lollipop stick when I was passing through the entrance courtyard just now, and the students haven't even started school yet!"

Dracula's face froze at the complaint of the spirited sixty-year-old witch.

He calmly hid the bloody lollipop in his hand behind his back and burned it to ashes with a black flame.

"Minerva, I will remind them." Dumbledore suppressed his smile and pointed at Dracula beside him, "This is the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, Brad Dracula."

"Professor Dracula, this is the Deputy Headmistress of Hogwarts, Minerva McGonagall," he introduced the two.

Professor McGonagall then turned and looked at Dracula.

When she saw his strange and unique face, surprise flashed in her eyes.

But she quickly adjusted her mood, showed a polite smile, and extended her hand to Dracula, "Hello, Professor Dracula."

Dracula also shook her hand politely.

Hearing the commotion here, other professors in the auditorium also ran out, looking curiously at the "warrior" who accepted the position of professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts.

Dracula patiently shook hands and greeted these strange Hogwarts professors one by one.

The professor lineup at Hogwarts is very unique—

Among them is Professor Flitwick, the headmaster of Ravenclaw, who is not much taller than a house-elf; Professor Sprout, the headmaster of Hufflepuff, who is covered in dirt and wears a thick hat full of patches; and Professor Kettleburn, who only has one arm and half a leg left...

In addition to the strange lineup, the professors always looked at Dracula with a hint of regret and pity. There was even a witch wearing a pair of thick glasses who began to sigh after seeing Dracula:

"How could such a handsome man choose to be the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor?"

Hearing her sigh, Dracula's mouth twitched.

"Why do I feel like coming here to be a professor... was it set up by that old guy Nico?"

He thought so.
