"These beasts!"
Looking at the information that appeared when she clicked on the file, Dana couldn't help but scold.
Even though she was mentally prepared after seeing what happened to Alex, she was still furious when she actually saw it with her own eyes.
Alex listened, said nothing, and watched quietly.
Perhaps it was caused by the changes in his body, or perhaps he was just a cold-hearted person. When he saw the miserable end of these experimental subjects, he did not feel the kind of anger and unbearable emotions that Dana did.
"Stop." He suddenly said, looking at the female experimenter covered in blood on the screen.
"What's wrong?" Dana paused in the downward sliding movement and turned to ask.
"I seem to know this woman." Staring at the photo on the computer, Alex frowned and thought hard.
His own memory was not completely lost. Every time he encountered something familiar, it always reminded him of something from the past.
"Do you know her?" Dana glanced at the detailed information and frowned slightly. "Elizabeth Green, the only survivor of the Hope Town Project in 1984. She should be the earliest experimenter and should be dead by now. How do you know her?"
Alex thought hard for a while, then shook his head and said, "I don't remember."
"But this woman should still be alive." He then said.
Although the memories that suddenly popped up were messy and illogical, judging from some fragments, he should have had contact with this woman before.
"Yeah?"
Dana turned her head and looked at Alex suspiciously for a while. She realized that things might be a little different from what they imagined, and Alex might not be a simple victim.
After a slight pause, she asked, "What are you going to do?"
"Find her, find out the person behind the Jintek Group. I should be able to learn more of the truth from them." Alex clenched his fist.
"But we don't know where she is right now, and it's not in this file." Dana pointed at the document and frowned.
Sky only sent over the list of experimenters, but more than that did not exist.
"I will investigate it myself." Alex said, looking at the information on the screen, and paused before saying, "Tell your friend about my situation, but I also hope that she can help me at a critical moment."
"I'll try." Dana nodded.
…
Blackwatch Station.
In the spacious meeting hall, Raymond McMullen, the controller of the Kintek Group, was talking with General Peter, the commander of Blackwatch, about the leak of the Blacklight virus.
"…Some researchers from the Blacklight Project have entered the SHIELD Virus Research Institute. Thanks to the efforts of our personnel, the suppression vaccine for the Blacklight virus has begun production."
"But General, up to now, there has been no case of blacklight infected people being able to be cured. The more we suppress them now, the more infected people there will be, and the more tragic the outbreak will be. You'd better make a decision as soon as possible."
Raymond pushed his glasses and spoke calmly.
General Peter heard this and said in a bad tone: "Then according to you, the best solution is to shoot all the infected people now, right!"
"This is the way to minimize the spread of the virus and cause the least loss." Raymond nodded in acknowledgment.
"That's easy for you to say!" General Peter stood up angrily. "There are already more than 100,000 confirmed infected people, all of whom have been shot. Do you want to talk to the White House and Congress, or should I talk to them?"
This is not the era of decades ago when information disseminated slowly, and Manhattan is no longer a small town without outsiders. If he dares to order a massacre, someone will take off his hat in the next second.
"I am just following your advice, General, and offering the best suggestions for preventing the spread of the virus." Raymond said calmly, ignoring General Peter's anger.
Deep down, he didn't want the virus leak to be resolved as soon as possible.
He now sees Manhattan as a super-large experimental field. He hopes that the virus will rage for a longer time so that he can collect more experimental data.
General Peter looked at Raymond for a while and snorted coldly.
He was the one who promoted Raymond to this position, so he naturally knew what kind of personality this research madman had.
It can be said that for the sake of his research, he would not even bat an eyelid even if millions of people died as a result.
Of course, he wasn't much better.
He would refuse to kill the infected, not because he couldn't bear it, but simply because he couldn't afford the cost of doing so.
"There's no need to talk about killing all the infected. At least not now."
General Peter walked back and forth in the hall twice, turned around, looked at Raymond with sharp eyes and said, "Now SHIELD is staring at us, trying desperately to find evidence that the virus was created by us, so that they can control the situation."
"I have deployed troops to guard several key locations where there may be leaks, but..."
"General, are you referring to Alex Mercer?" Raymond looked up and said calmly, "Don't worry, General, Alex Mercer is no longer a human being, but a virus that looks like Alex Mercer.
His own memory will inevitably be damaged when the virus reconstructs his body. At least in the short term, there is no need to worry that he will regain his memory.
Besides, didn't we also respond? " Raymond pushed his glasses to cover his eyes full of research desire.
"I hope so." Looking at Raymond, General Peter said coldly.
No one could have anticipated that things would develop to this point.
But since the situation is like this now, he can only try his best to minimize the losses on his side.
Jingle Bell…
The atmosphere was a little awkward when Raymond's phone rang.
After apologizing to the general, Raymond answered the phone and after a while, his brows furrowed deeply.
"What happened again?" Looking at Raymond's appearance, General Peter asked in a bad tone.
Raymond took a deep breath, suppressed his anger and said, "Part of the Black Light Project's information has been leaked."
"What's going on!" General Peter's eyes widened when he heard it.
He has stationed troops near the Kintek Group, how can the information be leaked? Is the SHIELD, which has been infiltrated by Hydra, so powerful
"Someone has hacked into the Jintek Group's network." Raymond said, standing up and saying, "I'll go back and deal with this now. Also, throw that scapegoat out in advance, General."
After saying that, Raymond strode out of the meeting room.
General Peter looked at Raymond's back and his expression became increasingly ugly.
"This bunch of rubbish!"
