After crossing the mountain, it was almost dark. There was a deserted town at the foot of the mountain, and the few of them decided to stay there for one night.

Almost all the houses in the town had collapsed, and mosses of varying shades had grown around the broken walls. However, they still found a house with three walls still intact as a place to stay.

Ding Hongsheng and Cai Tao were in charge of cleaning up the rubble in the house, while Black Lion and Binunu went to fetch water from the stream near the town. Feng Chen and Yan Bubu dealt with a mutant rabbit they had hunted on the road and started to cook dinner.

"Brother, after we arrive at the central city, should we go to see Governor Chen Size, or should we go to see Major General Lin first?" Yan Bubu asked as he sat next to Feng Chen.

Feng Chen threw the chopped hare meat into the pot and replied, "Go find Major General Lin first."

"Well, let's go find him first."

Yan Bubu leaned his head on Feng Chen's shoulder, looking up at the brilliant sunset in the distance: "Brother, look at the sky. It's so beautiful." After saying that, he raised his hand, pressed his index finger towards the sky, and made a clicking sound with his mouth.

"Are you taking pictures?" Feng Chen asked.

"Yes, take pictures of beautiful things and keep them in mind," Yan Bu said.

The evening breeze blew by, Feng Chen pushed away the moisture in front of him and stirred the rabbit meat in the pot. Yan Bubu turned his head to look at him, watching the sunset outline the perfect contours of his face and cast a layer of dark brown on his long drooping eyelashes.

"Click!" Yan Bubu took another photo of Feng Chen.

Just as Feng Chen was about to say something, he heard a scream from the distance on the left, which sounded like Cai Tao's voice. The two turned around and saw Cai Tao running out from behind a broken wall.

Ding Hongsheng, who was cleaning the shabby house, rushed out and asked loudly, "What happened?"

"fine."

"It's alright, so what are you yelling about?"

Cai Tao said: "It's okay, I just encountered a zombie, but I have dealt with it."

"What? There are still zombies here?"

Cai Tao had already walked closer, his face looking a little grim: "I was looking for a place to relieve myself, but that guy suddenly jumped out, and I didn't know whether to pull up my pants first or kill the zombies first."

After he said this, he realized something was wrong and immediately looked at Yan Bubu.

But Yan Bubu didn't notice anything and continued to ask with a grin, "So did you pull up your pants first or kill the zombies first?"

Cai Tao looked a little uncomfortable, and his tone was also awkward: "… My quantum beast is here, it can't bite me."

After dinner, the sun set and the sky turned a deep dark blue.

Cai Tao and Ding Hongsheng had sleeping bags in their backpacks, which they spread out against the left wall. The two men sat on the sleeping bags and watched Feng Chen and Yan Bubu make the bed.

Feng Chen opened the luggage bag, took out two pieces of plastic sheets and spread them out on the ground. He then placed a thin mat on the plastic sheets and finally put two velvet blankets on top.

Cai Tao and the others originally thought that the two beds on the floor were for Yan Bubu and Feng Chen to sleep on respectively, but unexpectedly, as soon as they were made, two quantum beasts lay on one of them.

The black lion just lay on the floor, but the strange selenium-solid frog quantum beast wearing a little skirt actually took out an eye mask and put it on, and even pulled a blanket over his body in a similar manner.

"Do they... also sleep at night?" Cai Tao couldn't help but be curious, "I thought quantum beasts didn't sleep."
