Chapter 105

Feng Chen discovered that half a mile outside the town, there were some tiny fluffs in the night sky, about the size of dandelions, floating towards this direction as light as a feather.

He looked around, and everywhere he looked there were these little fluffs floating around, dancing in the sky, boundless and endless.

There were a few cat-sized mutant field mice on the roadside, perhaps going out to look for food, moving their noses up and down as they walked. Some of the small fluff floating in the air stuck to them.

The mutant field mice suddenly screamed and the parts of their bodies that were stained by the fluff turned charred black, with several black holes appearing as if they were corroded by sulfuric acid.

The black hole continued to spread and expand, but in just a few minutes, the mutant vole turned into a small pile of black powder, which was blown away by the wind and disappeared without a trace.

There was a house on the side of the road that had not completely collapsed, with a few shaky iron window frames hanging between the broken bricks and stones.

After the small fluff flew past, there was nothing unusual with the bricks and stones, but black bubbles appeared one after another on the iron window frames, and they began to melt with a sizzling sound.

Feng Chen suddenly withdrew his mental strength, strode back to the house, picked up Yan Bubu who was still sleeping soundly, threw him on the back of the black lion, and quickly put bedding and other things into the inflatable bag.

"What happened?" Ding Hongsheng and Cai Tao were awakened. Seeing this scene, they immediately got out of their sleeping bags and grabbed the guns beside them.

"Leave here immediately. I just went out to check and saw poisonous fluff floating in the air."

"Poisonous fluff?" Yan Bubu also woke up, got off the black lion's back, and rubbed his eyes.

"The poisonous flocs can corrode voles and iron, but have no harm to soil and bricks. This place has no roof and lacks a wall. We have to leave immediately." Feng Chen threw the packed inflatable bag onto the black lion's back: "Run forward and find a place to hide."

Two minutes later, several people left the village and ran forward along the only road.

"Is our speed as fast as those poisonous fibers?" Cai Tao asked.

Feng Chen shook his head: "No, we must find a place to hide."

Yan Bubu was running with Feng Chen leading the way. He saw Ding Hongsheng looking back frequently, so he also looked back.

"Can you see it from that far away?" Yan Bubu asked.

Ding Hongsheng said: "I can see some. My sentinel's five senses focus on vision."

As soon as he finished speaking, his expression changed: "It's no use. We have to find a place to hide. There's a gust of wind behind us. Those poisonous fluff will catch up with us in a few minutes."

Yan Bubu pointed to the cliff on the left and said, "Look, there is a hole there. Let's hide in it."

There is a naturally formed cave below the mountain wall. Although the light is too dim to see clearly inside, it should be quite deep and can hide several people.

"Let's go." Feng Chen gave an order, and they all ran towards the cave. Yan Bubu turned his head while running. Even though he didn't have the vision of a sentinel, he could see dense white poisonous fluff flying in the sky not far away.

The poisonous fluff came in an overwhelming manner, like a dense and airtight net. All the grass and trees along the way were contaminated and withered, turning into clumps of black ash.

Cai Tao was running at the back when a vine suddenly shot out silently from the darkness, wrapped around his waist and dragged him backwards.

He was being dragged backwards at a rapid speed. He glanced at the poisonous fluff approaching in the sky on his left, and without calling for help, he pulled out his dagger to cut the vine around his waist.
