Yan Bubu walked with a few children on the edge of the second floor of the central city.
I didn't see any other people during this period. I could hear constant gunshots and zombie roars. The huge metal net beside me was shaking and making loud clanging sounds. From time to time, a strong light shone through from the bottom floor, illuminating the zombies near the ground with exceptional clarity.
The section of road they were passing through now was the area with the most serious subsidence. All the houses had collapsed and turned into ruins. Many huge metal plates were turned upside down and cracks appeared, which would fall down if they were not careful.
Yan Bubu looked down as he passed a crack and saw a fierce battle going on below. There must be a gap somewhere and zombies were rushing in.
"Be careful, let's walk slowly and be careful not to fall." Yan Bubu kept reminding them, and the two older boys walked more carefully.
If they could get through this section, the situation ahead would not be so bad. Yan Bubu comforted them, saying, "Look ahead, the rest of the road is much smoother and will be fine soon."
"Yeah." Both boys were visibly relieved.
The little girl on Yan Bubu's back asked him softly, "When we get to the front, can we both get off and walk?"
"It's okay. Didn't I tell you I have magic? You two aren't sinking at all." Yan Bu said.
"Well, okay." The little girl felt relieved.
Finally, they reached the next section of the road, but found that the situation here was not much better than before. Because the giant metal net in this section was relatively intact, there were relatively fewer soldiers. Zombies would climb up to the second floor from time to time, and Binunu would rush up to the giant metal net every once in a while to kill them all, and then come back to continue leading the two boys.
Suddenly, there was a sound of running footsteps behind him. Yan Bubu turned around and saw two people running towards them. Although he couldn't see their faces clearly, Binunu had already brushed past them and rushed out. It was obvious that they were two zombies.
Binunu rushed to the two zombies and leaped onto the head of one of them. Yan Bubu knew that the zombie would not be its opponent, so he turned around to look at the two boys standing there.
"Come closer, there's a gap next to you, be careful not to fall—"
Yan Bubu's words were cut short before he could finish them.
Suddenly, two zombie heads popped out of the crack, grabbing the edge of the crack with their hands, and obviously climbed up from the bottom layer along something.
Yan Bubu quickly put down the little boy in his arms. He didn't have time to put down the girl on his back. He let her hug his neck tightly. He just pulled out the dagger and rushed towards the two zombies.
The two zombies opened their ferocious mouths and bit the calf of the boy in the yellow T-shirt who was closest to them. Yan Bubu pounced and stabbed the dagger into the head of one of the zombies, then reached out and pulled the boy in the yellow T-shirt aside.
Another zombie reached out to pull the asthmatic boy's feet. Yan Bubu pulled the dagger out of the zombie's head and stabbed it quickly at the skinny and bruised hand. The tip of the knife pierced through the palm and nailed the hand to the ground.
"Go away!" Yan Bubu saw the asthmatic boy standing there in fear and ordered quickly.
The boy came to his senses and hurried to stand with the boy in the yellow T-shirt. But at this moment, the little boy on the ground suddenly screamed.
