Chapter 172

There was no light on Yinxia Mountain, only two green fireflies occasionally flashed in the darkness. Yan Bubu shone his flashlight towards the nearest firefly and found that it was a wild wolf mutant lurking in the grass, its fierce eyes reflecting green light.

"Don't worry about it, as long as it doesn't come over." Yan Bubu continued to walk up the mountain holding the dagger.

Under normal circumstances, Binunu would have rushed forward long ago, but it knew it could not waste time, so it pretended not to see anything, and only when the mutants were ready to approach, it growled intimidatingly to scare them away.

"Binunu, could it be that my brother didn't go up the mountain? If we find the wrong person, will it delay our time?"

Although the temperature on the mountain was very low at night, Yan Bubu was sweating profusely and his heart seemed to be burning. He didn't know where Feng Chen had gone after entering the mountain. He was so anxious and worried that he wanted to cry, but he forced himself to hold it back.

Binunu sniffed the grass and trees nearby and nodded at him.

"But you are not a wolfhound, can you still smell your brother's scent?" Yan Bubu also sniffed.

Binunu pointed to the side and asked him to look. Yan Bubu shone the flashlight over there and saw a pile of low shrubs. The branches looked like they had been stepped on by someone and several of them were broken.

The flashlight flickered and a bright light flashed in the bushes. Yan Bubu walked over and took a closer look and found that it was a thin, white, and flexible silk thread.

Yan Bubu was stunned for only a moment before he realized: "This is spider silk, it's a red spider!" He looked at Binunu: "We didn't make a mistake, my brother must have followed the red spider."

Now that he had confirmed Feng Chen's whereabouts, Yan Bubu moved faster. He kept an eye on both sides and found many traces of fighting along the way, as well as spider silk left by red spiders.

In the silent mountains, apart from his own breathing, there was only silence, a silence without even the sound of wind or insects. In the dim light diffused by the flashlight, the boulders looked like strange monsters.

Yan Bubu's head and face were covered in sweat. What made him nervous now was not the darkness, nor the dangers lurking in the darkness. He had ignored everything around him and was only worried about Feng Chen, his heart tightening.

Feng Chen was still running. He was less than 20 meters away from the man in front of him. He could hear the man's heavy breathing. The scarred man's physical strength was at its limit. He was breathing like a broken bellows. Every time he pulled it, there was a hoarse and unpleasant sound of air leaking everywhere.

The black lion rushed forward again, but the red spider appeared from nowhere and collided with it. The two quantum beasts fought for a few moves, and when the scarred man and the black lion pulled away, the red spider disappeared again.

This is a canyon with steep, wet rocks on both sides, covered with snake-like, twisting vines, and the sound of water drops falling to the ground.

Feng Chen saw that the man was at the end of his strength, so he sent out two beams of mental power to attack him. This time he wanted to break the man's legs so that he could not escape.

The mental power silently cut through the air and pierced the man's calves. The man's mental barrier blocked the first attack, but could not block the second one that followed. In a hurry, he could only jump to the right and rolled on the ground to avoid it.
