The zombies were almost cleared. The soldiers upstairs pushed the pile of zombie bodies on the stairs down, revealing a path, and urged: "Hurry up, come up quickly."

Several people rushed up the stairs. Yu Yuan patted Feng Chen on the shoulder and said, "Slide down from the rope at the window. There will be people waiting below. Does Little Curly need someone to carry him down?"

Feng Chen said: "No need, I can carry it myself."

"That's fine."

Seeing Yan Bubu staring at her with his big eyes rolling around, Yu Yuan couldn't help but reach out to rub his head.

The black lion had been following Feng Chen nonchalantly, but when Yu Yuan was rubbing Yan Bubu's head, it suddenly looked over, its eyes alert, its teeth slightly bared, its whole body full of defense.

Feng Chen, however, seemed to know nothing and just stared out the window calmly.

Yu Yuan looked at Hei Shi and then at him, revealing a meaningful expression, and withdrew his hand from Yan Bubu's head.

The soldier at the window passed a thin rope through Yan Bubu's armpits and tied him tightly to Feng Chen's back. He then tied a safety rope around Feng Chen's waist and asked, "Are you okay with this?"

"Okay." Feng Chen nodded.

The soldiers stepped aside, Feng Chen grabbed the rope, jumped out of the window, and slid down the tower.

It was still raining heavily outside the window, and the temperature was no longer hot, but slightly cool and damp. Yan Bubu felt his body suddenly empty, and he fell straight down. The momentary feeling of weightlessness made him grab Feng Chen's shoulder.

"Are you scared?" Feng Chen's voice pierced through the wind and rain, as if it came from a very far away place.

After Yan Bubu got over the initial feeling of weightlessness and realized that it was Feng Chen who was carrying him, the panic in his heart disappeared without a trace, and was replaced by extreme excitement.

“It’s so fun, hahahaha, I’m flying... hahahaha…” Before he could finish his sentence, his mouth was filled with wind and rain. He let out a roar, then closed his mouth and swallowed.

But he immediately started laughing excitedly: “Hahahahaha, hahahahaha…”

Feng Chen was also infected by his happiness. Every time he slid down a certain distance, he would push his feet hard on the tower and fly in the air like a roc, making a loud "woooo" sound.

The black lion followed beside them, grabbing some protruding decorations on the tower and leaping down. Although it was huge, it was so light, and its long black mane fluttered in the wind and rain.

The others who were sliding down the ropes had hearts filled with the same sadness and misery as the world around them, but after hearing the two people's laughter, their sadness and grief as well as their confusion about their future lives seemed to be diluted a little.

There were dozens of medium and large hovercrafts parked under the tower that could carry hundreds of people, and each one was packed with people. As soon as Feng Chen slid down to the surface of the water, a soldier came to catch him and put him and Yan Bubu on the boat.

It was raining heavily and the world became a vast ocean. The people, all soaked, stood on the boat in a daze, looking around with strange eyes.

Many people have lived in the underground resettlement site for several months, and this is their first time to come to the surface. They originally wanted to return to the surface, but they did not expect that their former homeland has become a vast ocean.

Yan Bubu was led by Feng Chen to stand at the bow, and looked around curiously. However, he was not as sad as the adults. It seemed that as long as Feng Chen was by his side, he could quickly accept the world no matter what it became.
