The Human Cub’s Guide to Wasteland Survival

Chapter 96

In the room late at night, two people sleeping soundly snorted. Like every night before, Yan Bubu's mental power automatically entered Feng Chen's mental domain.

Feng Chen's spiritual realm was defenselessly open to him. He swam happily inside, chasing and playing with Feng Chen's spiritual power.

Gradually, he became dissatisfied with this emptiness and kept moving forward, forward... until he saw the white color.

It looked like a white planet floating in the vast universe, or like a crystal ball in a dark space, illuminated by a beam of spotlight, emitting a soft and bright light.

Attracted by an inexplicable emotion, Yan Bubu approached curiously and saw clearly that it was a world of ice and snow.

The snowflakes were fluttering, making a rustling sound. There was neither a cold wind nor biting cold. It just made him feel calm and peaceful.

The guide's instinct reminded him not to go forward and to stop here. But like a moth seeing light or a fish seeing bait, he could not leave and instead approached it little by little tentatively.

He felt more and more clearly the attraction of that place to him.

There is no danger, no cold, only my brother's gentle whisper and breath...

Feng Chen, who was sleeping, suddenly opened his eyes and stared at the ceiling. Then he turned his head and looked at Yan Bubu who was leaning on his neck.

Yan Bubu was still sleeping soundly, snoring like a big cat. But Feng Chen's eyes were very clear, without any sleepiness, and even a bit sharp.

Onward, forward...

Yan Bubu stretched out his mental power and was about to touch that place, but was suddenly blocked by Feng Chen's mental power.

Before he could react, he felt the world spinning around him, and his mental strength seemed to be tied into a knot, and then he was thrown out of the mental realm.

Yan Bubu opened his eyes in a daze.

In his half-asleep mind, he could not remember what had just happened. It seemed as if he had entered his brother's spiritual realm, or as if he was dreaming, in which he turned into a big bow and was kicked into the sky by his brother.

Yan Bubu looked up at Feng Chen and saw that he was sleeping soundly. She thought it was just a dream. She smacked her lips, rubbed her head against his neck, and continued to sleep.

Yan Bubu started snoring like a big cat again. Feng Chen then opened his eyes, looked at Yan Bubu for a moment, tucked the quilt into him, and closed his eyes.

When Yan Bubu woke up the next day, he looked for Feng Chen as usual. After searching downstairs for a while, he finally found him on the tenth floor.

The tenth floor was where they used to modify their identity information. The instruments were all still intact. Feng Chen was sitting among a pile of instruments, fiddling with something.

Yan Bubu walked into the house, and Feng Chen said without even looking up: "Watch your step."

He avoided the pile of small iron balls at his feet and squatted down beside Feng Chen.

"Brother, what are you doing?"

"You haven't seen this before? This is called a radio. I found it with great difficulty. It should be OK if I repair it."

Yan Bubu squatted there and watched for a while. Feng Chen put down the screwdriver, plugged in the radio, and asked him, "Do you want to turn on the switch or should I?"

Yan Bubu said: "You are luckier than me."

Feng Chen raised his eyebrows: "Why do you say that?"

Yan Bubu: "If you also have curly hair, you can't tie it up like this. You have to let me cut your hair. Do you think you are lucky?"
