Among the 72 sages of Confucius, Gongye Chang is not a particularly noteworthy one. In the Tang Dynasty, he was posthumously conferred the title of Ju Bo, and in the Song Dynasty, he was conferred the title of Gaomi Hou and worshipped with Confucius.
