The Lord of the Oasis

Chapter 737: Austin's request

"Be careful." Austin yelled loudly, hugging his thigh.

Only then did Gilbert open his eyes in a daze, seeing Austin lying on the ground with a distorted face and the strange environment around him, he didn't react.

The eyeballs rolled back and forth a few times, and the throat became more and more dry.

"Hello? What's wrong with you." Austin supported himself and shook his right hand in front of Gilbert: "Did you fall asleep?"

Gilbert came back to his senses and remembered the process of getting acquainted with Austiner yesterday. Slowly raised his hand and pointed out the door: "It smells so good."

"So I didn't wake up." Austin lowered his head helplessly, and said, "I'll take you to breakfast later."

"Yeah." Gilbert nodded, and then sat back on the edge of the bed. Quietly waiting for Austin to make the next move.

Austin stood up and put his clothes on neatly. And he rolled up the quilts on the ground and put them back in his luggage bag.

Just as he was about to go out to find water to wash his face, Austin remembered something, stopped and said to Gilbert, "You have to go wash with me too."

Gilbert didn't say anything, and walked down from the bed obediently. Slowly crossed over to Austin.

Looking at his naked body, Austin suddenly felt: It's not very good to just take him out like this. With a thought, Austiner found a coat of his own from the luggage on his back, and put it on for Gilbert without saying a word.

Austiner's top was worn on Gilbert's body, and the skirt just covered Gilbert's thighs.

"Well, it's good." Austin said with satisfaction.

Gilbert carefully rubbed the cloth on his body with his hands.

"Okay, go wash your face and brush your teeth." Austin smiled and took Gilbert's hand.

The two walked out of the tent, went to the sink set up by the back kitchen, and washed their faces carefully.

"After you wash your face, you have to brush your teeth," Austin said. He raised the toothbrush for rinsing his mouth.

Gilbert looked at the dental stick, frowned, and raised his foot to escape.

But he was blocked by Austine: "Don't even think about eating without brushing your teeth."

Gilbert stood stiffly in place: nothing is more important than food right now. Gilbert has already seen that, if he wants to grab a meal next time, he still has to obediently listen to the person in front of him.

"Open your mouth," Austin said to Gilbert after brushing his own teeth.

"Hmm~" Gilbert turned his head reluctantly, whimpering in resistance. The eye sockets also turned red.

"This is good for your health. You will not get sick if you brush your teeth regularly." Seeing this, Austin quickly comforted him: "It will be over in two minutes."

Gilbert raised his head slowly, and looked at Austin with tears in his eyes.

"Well, be obedient." Austin encouraged.

Gilbert opened his mouth suspiciously, revealing the bright fangs in his mouth.

"The teeth are so sharp." Austin brushed Gilbert's teeth carefully, and said, "And they are cleaner than mine. What do you usually use to grind your teeth?"

Gilbert is still not quite used to the feeling of the tooth stick in his mouth. He stared at Austin with a complaining face.

After a delay of about ten minutes, the two of them finished washing. Austiner took Gilbert to the booth where the back kitchen distributed breakfast and received his share of food.

"I just made an extra portion, give it to this little guy." The kitchen soldier took out another lunch box and said, "It looks much more pleasing to the eye than yesterday."

"It's such a coincidence, good luck." Austin said with a smile as he handed the steaming breakfast in his hand to Gilbert.

"But you have to hurry up to eat, don't you want to send this goblin guy out of here? I heard from Captain Dewitt that there are still about 20 minutes before we are about to set off and gather." The soldiers in the back kitchen especially urged road.

"Thank you." Austin nodded.

Finding an empty seat in the middle of the camp, the two sat down.

As soon as Gilbert sat down, he ate his dinner bowl.

Austin, on the other hand, had no appetite, and ate a few mouthfuls of bread without interest. He covered the lunch box and put it back in his bag. Sitting in place staring at Gilbert's eating.

"I'm done." In less than five minutes, Gilbert raised the empty rice bowl in his hand and said happily.

"Well, are you full?" Austin came back to his senses, looked at him and asked.

"Very full," Gilbert replied.

Each serving of food in the army corresponds to the daily calories consumed by an adult soldier. In terms of weight, it is still enough for a thin underage goblin.

"Let's go then, I'm going to see you off." Austin said with a sigh.

Gilbert stood up obediently and handed the lunch box back to Austin.

"Actually, you don't need to send it, I can walk out of here by myself." Gilbert said clearly.

"Do you have a temporary place to stay on this plain?" Austin pursed his lips tightly and asked inwardly, "Can you find food by yourself?"

"No. There is no prey on this plain." Gilbert recalled the tragedy a few days ago, lowering his eyes.

"... Would you like to go with us, we will go to the volcano where your companions are. Maybe they can help you." Austin recalled the forbearance on Gilbert's face when he said "I don't want to go back" last night , asked.

"I don't have any companions there anymore." Gilbert said with a lonely expression.

"How come, there will be your friends waiting for you to go back." Austin said hastily: "If you continue to wander, you can only resign yourself to fate."

Gilbert was silent for a while, and finally raised his head and said, "Can I? Join you."

"You and I will go to see Captain DeWitt and the others," Austiner blurted out his thoughts when he saw Gilbert accepted his proposal, "I will help you persuade them."

"Okay." Gilbert nodded heavily.

Austiner watched more and more soldiers wearing armor in the open space of the camp, thinking that it was almost time to assemble.

He hurriedly took Gilbert's hand and ran towards the tent where Captain DeWitt was.

"Captain DeWitt!" Austin rushed into DeWitt's camp and shouted inside.

DeWitt, Claremont, and Abel, who were standing in front of the desk, stopped talking and looked back at him in surprise.

There are also soldiers moving tables and chairs back and forth around.

"Gilbert said he wanted to go to the volcano with us, can you please allow him to join us." Austin took a deep breath and said.
