The Path of the Sage

Chapter 3069: Be careful with your words and actions, or you will suffer disasters for thousands of years

Views:

Fang Yun's appearance remained at that of a young man in his twenties. His jet-black hair was particularly eye-catching among the saints. His skin was not only smooth, but even delicate, and his face was filled with something that none of the saints had.

Full of vitality.

Fang Yun is like a tall green pine in the autumn, like a touch of red cloud in the sea of clouds, and even more like a bright moon in the night sky.

The contrast was so strong that just by seeing Fang Yun, the great scholars felt that they had become much younger. Their hearts were full of fighting spirit and they were ready to achieve success and fulfill their ambitions at any time.

Fang Yun's resolute and youthful face became the brightest star in the eyes of the great scholar.

Fang Yun glanced at the group of semi-saint incarnations, and his gaze lingered slightly on the incarnation of the patriarch saint.

"The human race has a lot of work to do. I have just been canonized, but all the saints have not gathered yet. I have always regretted this. Today, I will use this literary gathering to discuss literature and philosophy, enlighten the scholars, and contribute to the human race."

Then an old man said, "The semi-saint's discussion of the Dao is too profound. If a great scholar cannot comprehend it, it will do more harm than good if he is obsessed with it."

The old man had thick eyebrows like umbrellas, very thin lips, and a kind face, but there was coldness in his eyes.

All the great scholars showed shock on their faces, and many of them even showed shock for a long time.

This person is Yun Sheng of Yun Country.

Zong Moju's expression remained unchanged, and in everyone's eyes he still only had his profile. He didn't look at anyone, but just stared straight ahead, his eyes penetrating the void, and the changing situation in his eyes.

The other semi-saints looked at Yunsheng. Wang Jinglong and Chen Qingzhi did not hide their dissatisfaction, but after all, they were semi-saints and did not say anything.

Everyone realized that Fang Yun's reforms, especially his intention to abolish the Li Hall and support the Legalists, had already offended Yun Sheng. His sudden words this time must have been a collusion with Zong Sheng.

Fang Yun smiled and said, "When I was a baby, I knew that every move of adults was mysterious; when I was a child, I knew that every word and action of the master was profound; when I was a great scholar, I knew the subtlety of the holy way. As a half-saint, if we still talk nonsense about subtlety and ignore true knowledge, we will fall behind."

"Please give me some advice, Master Fang." Yun Sheng immediately bowed slightly and leaned forward.

Those great scholars who admired Fang Yun felt a pang in their hearts and thought to themselves that something was not right.

It was called asking for advice, but in fact a debate had already begun. If the Half-Saint just bowed, it would not end well.

The great scholar of Jing State was extremely anxious. Everyone could have expected that Zongsheng would launch an attack today, but unexpectedly, it was Yunsheng who took action first, which would most likely disrupt Fang Yun's pace.

Once Yun Sheng makes Fang Yun lose his composure and Zong Sheng suddenly attacks, Fang Yun will be in great danger.

There is always thunder between the fingers of the sage!

Fang Yun smiled and said, "Confucius said 'Teaching people tirelessly', and Mr. Le Zheng said 'Teaching and learning benefit each other'. They are both talking about one thing: when we teach others, it helps us learn ourselves. This is the first point. The second point is that the way of saints is chaotic, so how can there be a distinction between subtle and dull?"

“There is no distinction between subtle and profound in the way of saints, but we need to distinguish between subtle and insubstantial.” Yun Shengdao.

Many great scholars nodded slightly. In this regard, they still agreed with Yun Sheng.

Fang Yun said, "That's why I said Yunsheng fell behind. When we look at the holy way, how can we pick and choose like buying goods, and judge the quality? When we look at the holy way, if we understand it, it is understood, and if we don't understand it, it is not understood. If we don't understand it, we can only say it is exquisite. If we understand it, we can know it at a glance. How can we say it is exquisite? The so-called indescribable wonder is just because we don't understand it! The mistakes of the ancient saints have spread far and wide, and Yunsheng is no exception!"

"Saint Fang is too arbitrary!" Saint Yun snorted coldly.

Fang Yun smiled slightly and said, "I know that Yun Sheng is well versed in etiquette and Confucianism. I would like to ask you, what can be said and what cannot be said?"

Yun Sheng did not answer immediately.

The great scholars then realized that Fang Yun's way of asking questions was very clever.

Fang Yun was not asking whether it was subtle or not, but whether it could be said or not. If Yun Sheng said something that could be said, it would prove that Fang Yun was right. If Yun Sheng said something that could not be said, then Fang Yun would ask in depth, and whether Yun Sheng could answer or not, it would confirm what Fang Yun said.

If you truly understand, you will definitely be able to express it. If you don’t understand, you will definitely not be able to express it.

Fang Yun did not look at Yun Sheng, but turned to look at the great scholar, and said slowly: "Be careful with your words and actions, or you will cause trouble for thousands of years!"

The sound of the avenue resounds throughout the sky.

In the river, the Dragon Gate rises.

When this subversive argument came out, not only the great scholars were shocked, but the saints also looked at Fang Yun in surprise.

A moment later, the saints analyzed these words with their holy thoughts, and their eyes flashed with strange lights.

"Good!" Wang Jinglong seemed to understand something and looked at Fang Yun with admiration.

"Good!" Chen Qingzhi lowered his head slightly, as if thinking about something.

"Great!" Kong Changxun did not hide his admiration for the other party.

The other semi-saints either nodded or had complicated expressions, and it was unclear how to comment.

The great scholars vaguely understood Fang Yun's intention, but none of them understood it clearly.

Only a very small number of great scholars who had thought about similar questions nodded vigorously, or even felt excited.

Fang Yun said slowly: "The eyes of a semi-saint can see through the past and present. Just as I once said to Master Kong, we should not only look at the present, but also look at the past and the future. When our eyes can see through time and space, we will look at everything from a completely different perspective. When humans were first born, they ate raw meat and drank blood, their sounds were meaningless, their characters were invisible, and they looked like wild beasts. Later, when we speak in the same tone and write in the same shape, we can efficiently let others know our intentions and collaborate efficiently."

"The reason why humans are superior to animals is that we not only have physical tools such as hoes and axes, but also tools such as language and writing. It is true that illness and disaster come from the mouth, but true knowledge also comes from the mouth! Our ancestors first communicated with sound. We have communicated with voice for millions of years, but with writing for less than ten thousand years. Therefore, most of us are better at listening than reading."

"We were able to grow from babbling to fluent speaking because of the earnest teachings of our relatives and friends; we were able to learn to distinguish characters and read ten lines at a glance because of the guidance of our teachers; we can sit here and discuss the truth because everyone is talking about true knowledge and learning. The classics have annotations, the annotations have explanations, the words have exegesis, and the texts have righteousness. They are all about using more words, simpler explanations, and more easy-to-understand ways to make the originally 'subtle' things understandable and learnable to more people."

"So, when we look back, we will find that humans have been becoming more 'talkative' and have been using more easily understandable methods to help future generations understand the truth. When we look to the future, we will inevitably see that in order to express complex truth, humans will definitely use more simple methods to understand and explain."

"Being careful in what you say and do will not only seal off disasters, but also true knowledge, doubts, and our creativity! The most terrible thing about being careful in what you say and do is that it prevents us from making mistakes. Isn't it good to prevent mistakes? It's very bad! Because when we don't make mistakes, we will forget the best ability of the human race or all living things, which is error correction!"

"From the perspective of an individual, we only focus on one point, an immovable point. It is a good thing to be cautious in words and deeds, because it can prevent a person from making a fool of himself, from being hurt, and from being laughed at. However, if we expand our horizons, if there are tens of billions of points, tens of billions of human beings, and they all speak and act cautiously, what will be the result? What can we use to argue? What can we use to talk about war on paper? What can we use to speak out like thunder! What can we use to criticize with words and pens!"

Many great scholars felt as if their heads were exploding, and something new was emerging in their minds!
