Chapter 430: Three anti-poems

One person shouted, "But the ink dragon brush washer and borneol inkstone you won at the Double Ninth Festival literary gathering yesterday?"

"That's right." Fang Yun said.

"It's a pity that the people who 'sent' you the inkstone and brush were not here. If they were here, everyone would be happy."

Many people laughed.

Fang Yun took out a pitch-black tribute ink stick and was about to pour water into the dynasty inkstone when he saw the ink dragon flying out of the brush washer again with a splash of water on its body, flying above the dynasty inkstone and sprinkling clear water.

Mo Jiao flew back to the pen wash, lay lazily on the edge of the pen wash, and looked at Fang Yun.

The black dragon looked like a painting made of ink and water, exquisite and beautiful, attracting many people's attention.

Fang Yun smiled, took the tung oil ink stick and put it into the inkstone, then slowly ground the ink.

Normally it takes a while to grind the ink, but when Fang Yun put the ink stick in, he felt something was wrong. The borneol inkstone seemed to have magical powers. The moment the ink stick touched the inkstone, the ink stick became a little smaller. The missing ink quickly blended into the water, forming ink of appropriate thickness.

In the black ink, there are faint traces of blood, which are the power contained in the borneol inkstone.

Fang Yun spread out a piece of white paper, dipped a brush in thick ink, thought for a moment, and said, "I wanted to simply write a farewell poem, but Brother Dongyun is not going to study, nor is he just going away. What's more important is to serve the human race and kill monsters and barbarians! Therefore, I hope Brother Dongyun can achieve something on the battlefield!"

After saying that, Fang Yun picked up the pen and slowly wrote the title: "Sending Chang Dongyun to the border." After finishing it, he began to write the main text.

"Border beacons alert the enemy, and scholars pass through Ning'an."

During the writing process, the precious light of war poems appeared on the paper.

Because it was a war poem, Fang Yun's calligraphy reached a level where every stroke of the pen made a sound. Everyone heard the cry for help after the beacon was lit, followed by the clear sound of horse hooves.

"A farewell poem to the war? It's either completely useless or very important." said one person.

"Chang Dongyun may be blessed."

Qiao Juze didn't care about the war poem, but said: "General Meng Tian drove away the demons and barbarians in those days. He planted elms as barriers, so elm barriers generally refer to the border. These two sentences say that as soon as the beacon fire appeared at the border, the Jinshi passed through Ning'an City to provide support. Well, just two sentences show Brother Dongyun's spirit of being public-spirited and righteous."

Everyone nodded.

"The willow leaves open like silver arrows, and the fallen flowers shine on the jade saddle."

Another Jinshi commented: "The first sentence borrows the allusion of Yang Youji's shooting an arrow through a willow tree at a hundred paces, but the two sentences are reversed. It should be 'Silver arrows shoot through willow leaves, and when the horse gallops, the shining saddle shines on the falling flowers'. It is obviously a military battle. But it can describe the horse riding and archery so beautifully, making the Jinshi participating in the battle more handsome and unrestrained, without any blood and cruelty of the battlefield, allowing us to see another different kind of battlefield frontier poetry, beautiful sentences!"

Fang Yun continued writing.

"The full moon is over the bow shadow, and the stars are in the sword tip."

Qiao Juze clapped his hands suddenly and sighed softly, "You are worthy of being Fang Zhenguo. He can write a poem so beautifully! The first two sentences have inverted word order, and these two sentences have inverted artistic conception. Originally, it should be that the bow is like a full moon and the sword is like starlight. But he did the opposite, writing that the warrior's archery skills are so superb that after the bow is fully drawn, the moon imitates it and becomes round. Then he said that his swordsmanship is so powerful that the stars in the sky fall into the sword to enhance the power of his swordsmanship. Weird, Fang Yun really has a clever mind!"

"With this writing, the whole scene seems to come alive, extremely beautiful. It also describes the Jinshi's power to the extreme. You see, Chang Dongyun is so happy that he can't stop smiling. Anyone would laugh if they were praised like this."

Everyone looked over. Chang Dongyun was smiling, having completely forgotten that he would never be able to study at the Confucius Academy or the Holy Academy again in this life.

Fang Yun changed his pen style and wrote the last two sentences. After reading them, Chang Dongyun's smile disappeared and he showed a look of gratitude.

"If you don't learn from Yan Danke, you will sing in vain about the cold Yishui River."

Qiao Juze sighed again and said, "This poem is truly unique. Among the eight sentences, except for the first two sentences that have to be written in a positive way to explain the background, the second, third and last couplets, a total of six sentences, are full of contradictions! First, the word order is contradictory, then the meaning of the text is contradictory, and finally it is the historical commentary. The contradiction is natural and reasonable! If the first two sentences were also contradictory, this poem must be listed as a 'superb poem', and it would be as important as the poem 'The sound of chickens in the thatched tavern under the moon, the footprints of people on the frosty wooden bridge'. However, I have never read a poem with three consecutive contradictions. In addition to 'every word is in a beautiful way', Fang Yun also created the 'three contradictions' of word order, meaning and historical commentary. He deserves the title of a national treasure!"

Chang Dongyun sighed, "No matter how exquisite the first two anti-words are, they are just 'skills', a minor art. But the last sentence 'If you don't learn from Yan Danke, you will sing Yishuihan in vain' is different. This is not an ordinary warning sentence. Jing Ke's assassination of Qin was praised by everyone, but these two sentences directly point out that Jing Ke's swordsmanship was not good enough, and analyze the failure of Jing Ke's assassination of Qin from a deeper level. Although this statement cannot be said to be perfect, it is like a morning bell and an evening drum to wake people up. When I read the first few sentences, I was full of confidence, but these last two sentences were like a club on the head, which completely woke me up."

At this moment, the war poem and the paper slowly burned.

Chang Dongyun looked at Fang Yun gratefully and continued, "I suddenly realized that no matter how good my riding skills are, no matter how cool I am on the battlefield, no matter how powerful my verbal battles are, even if I can move the stars to the earth, if I fail, everything is just a bubble. This poem taught me two lessons. One is that I can't be proud and complacent, and the other is to think clearly about the way to kill the enemy. Otherwise, even if I am ten thousand times more tragic and heroic than Jing Ke, I will still fail."

Fang Yun nodded slightly, but in his heart he was admiring the talent of Luo Binwang, one of the four great poets of the early Tang Dynasty. If we only talk about poetry, he is undoubtedly the best in the early Tang Dynasty. It is a pity that Tang poetry was not fully developed in the early Tang Dynasty. As a pioneer, he has limitations after all. If he could be born a hundred years later and emerge at the peak of the development of Tang poetry, I wonder if he would become the first person after Li Bai and Du Fu.

"It's a pity that this war poem has no treasured legacy, and only Fang Yun can use it."

"I wonder what effect this war poem will have." Qiao Juze watched the paper burn curiously.

The war poem burned completely, and the scene described in the poem actually appeared, transforming into starlight and rushing into Chang Dongyun's body.

Chang Dongyun was stunned for a moment, then a look of joy appeared on his face, and finally he closed his mouth tightly, fearing that something would fly out of his mouth.

Qiao Juze was surprised and said, "Could it be the 'linking stars into the sword' in the poem? Could it be that it can strengthen the sword of words? I didn't expect that in addition to the poems of Pregnant Sword and Sharp Sword, there are actually poems of Juren that can do this? Originally, only great scholars could use subtle words and profound meanings to do this."

Chang Dongyun smiled but said nothing.

"Asshole, why don't you say something!" A good friend of Chang Dongyun became anxious.

Chang Dongyun remained silent and Fang Yun ignored him and was about to clean the brush and ink. However, the ink dragon swooped down and swept the ink on the brush tip with its tail. Only the clean white brush tip remained.

Afterwards, the ink dragon rushed into the calcite inkstone and rolled over, and the ink inside disappeared.

"Uh..." The finger-long black dragon burped, happily flew back to the brush washer, and sank underwater to sleep. (To be continued...)
