For a creature with the will to act freely, rain is always a bummer, because it adds a burden to free movement. So after Zach dug out the red wine sent by the 'general' again, he breathed a sigh of relief, as he didn't have to go out anymore.
But this pride did not last long, Madison from the mill called.
"You mean today, now?" Zach held the receiver and frowned, looking helpless.
"Yeah." Madison on the other side of the receiver said calmly, "The prison said everything is business as usual. I didn't know what 'business as usual' meant. When I asked, they said they were looking for you, so I looked for you."
Zach's brows frowned a little tighter, and he wanted to completely push it away and let Madison handle it on his own. Madison's calmness made Zach feel guilty that he was sorry for this employee who only wanted to do a good job. "Well, then I'll go with you, and you come and pick me up."
"Yes." The other party responded and hung up the phone.
Zach twitched his lips, Benjamin couldn't escape.
A row of people sat on the back porch of the Grand House, staring blankly at the gray outside world. Even Jin, who rarely showed up at this time, was lying on the edge of the corridor. The Great Dane's tail reached outside the eaves of the corridor, sweeping away the dripping water drops quickly. If Jin's expression could be happier, it could be considered that he was having a great time.
Zach pushed Benjamin's shoulder. Alpha was leaning against the wall, tilting his head, his eyes so distracted that he didn't know what he was thinking. Pushed by Zach, Benjamin fell directly to the side, his strong body hit the wooden floor, and he lay on his side against the wall, with a pair of brown eyes looking like vampires. This is the way Alpha usually looks at Zach silently when he is in a bad mood, the kind of look that makes a vampire inexplicably feel like he is food.
Zach frowned, "What are you doing? It's work! Madison called, and some poor guy in prison hung up."
"This is Madison's job." Benjamin didn't even think about sitting down again. His eyes have drifted away.
Zach reluctantly pulled Benjamin's arm, "This is Madison's first time, we have to take him at least this time." Benjamin was very heavy, especially when he deliberately refused to cooperate.
Zach pursed his lips. If Matthew hadn't been catching up on his sleep, Benjamin wouldn't have allowed his body to be pulled and twisted by the vampire. Zach worked hard for a moment. He waved his hand and gave up, "Okay! You don't have to go, just lie here and think about what 'it' is thinking. I wish you good luck."
Zach turned and walked back. After a while, Benjamin followed, but his eyes were still a little distracted. Apparently, although he agreed with Zach's words, he felt that there was no point in thinking about the idea of a wolf body. But it's impossible not to care. People with split personalities are like this. Benjamin's ability to listen to advice only shows that his illness is not too serious.
The two began to make necessary preparations, because after all, they were dragging a body back, and dragging it from a place like a prison would not be a pretty scene. They planned to prepare everything as much as possible and teach Maddie everything at once. Sen. Then they won’t need to follow you next time.
Not long after, there was the sound of rain and occasional thunder. The sound of the engine came from the east, Madison's car was coming. As expected, the mentally challenged demon Leon was sitting in the passenger seat. Crowley would obviously not miss this rare opportunity to go on a field trip to the prison.
Leon felt very good about himself and greeted the two Grande brothers, his blurry face flashing past behind the wiper. Then, despite the pouring rain, Madison's car didn't even stop. The door on the right side was pushed open, and a figure ran directly into Benjamin's arms, recreating the appearance when he first saw Zach.
But he seemed more excited. He lay on Benjamin like an octopus, sniffing the werewolf's breath desperately, and kept shouting, "Oh my God, my God! A living werewolf! An Alpha!! What a perfect creation! I actually missed it. Such a wonderful creature!!”
Leon didn't care that his age was exposed.
Until he was caught by palms covered with brown fluff, thrown away, rolled several times in the rain, and landed on the rain-wet road. He cracked his twisted neck and said smartly, "I know! Brothers of the Grand House, you don't like others getting too close to you! I promise it won't happen again in the future!"
Madison's car is also a Hermann truck made locally in Barton City, but it doesn't have the solid feel it once had and is more practical. Madison didn't get out of the car, but simply gestured to the two of them. He didn't even turn off the engine and sat in the driver's seat to wait.
Zach sighed silently at the guilt he felt. Holding an umbrella, he opened the back compartment, looked at the coffin inside, and smiled helplessly. Madison is indeed a very careful and conscientious person. Even though the contract with Barton Prison has driven the price down to a loss, he still prepared complete items.
Unfortunately, the reality is that he still brought the wrong thing. What he needed was not the coffin that gave the deceased the last trace of stability, but a black plastic bag.
But after seeing Madison's bland look, Zach couldn't bear to correct anything. Benjamin and I threw the prepared things into the trunk and sat in the back seat of the truck together. Because no one wants to sit with Leon who is still on Joe's chin.
The truck's handbrake was retracted, and the hum of the engine gradually disappeared amid the sound of rain. Not long after, the truck driven by Madison disappeared into the dense rain to the west of Grand House.
"How are you doing?" The silence in the car made Zach feel a little uncomfortable, especially when there was a guy with a crooked chin who kept turning his head and smirking at the two of them.
No one responded, Zach frowned, "Madison, how are you doing?" Zach raised his voice.
"Oh, are you talking to me?" Madison's eyes glanced in the rearview mirror. Although there was no reflection of Zach in the mirror, his expression remained calm, "Just like that, ordinary."
"Ah—" Leon prolonged his voice, and his crooked chin finally returned to its original position with a click, "Don't worry about him, he was hit."
"Shut up!" Madison turned around and glared at Leon with obvious anger.
As we all know, people's emotions will always fluctuate violently when they are touched by something they really care about. Madison was obviously in such a situation. Zach raised his eyebrows with a hint of curiosity on his face, "What's wrong?"
"he… "
Madison's hands grasped the steering wheel and turned rapidly. The truck suddenly swayed on the road in the rain. The screeching sound of tires did not spread far before it was drowned out by the monotonous clatter in the rain.
"Oh! Ouch! It hurts!"
Leon held his head that had just hit the car window and groaned, while Zach and Benjamin straightened out their clothes that were wrinkled by the seat belts. The two looked at each other, shrugged, and decided not to ask further questions. The truck resumed traveling in a straight line, and silence returned to the vehicle.
Well, you all know that Madison is me, and if you are even the slightest bit curious, I can give you a clue.
Madison, I, was in a writing coaching class. The teacher's comment on my first assignment was this.
"Have you done any research on a person who lives on blood? Can the nutrients in the blood sustain a person's survival? How much blood does he need a day? Where does he get this? How long does he last like this?... You do Have you done any research? If not, why don’t you write fairy tales! Fairy tales don’t need logic or reason!”
How can I put it, my teacher is a happy person. (..)
