The young wolf summoned by Alpha was still immersed in the dead end he had built. He walked into the office aimlessly and saw his two bosses sitting at the workbench. In front of Benjamin was a half-eaten sandwich. Neither of them looked very good. It seemed that their conversation was not pleasant.
"You and Louise together." Benjamin frowned and ordered.
The client Louise took over yesterday had new requirements, which was a bad start. Foreign visits seemed to be taken for granted. Louise doesn't mind going out again, but it looks like she'll have an extra partner this time.
Matthew said oh and went out to get ready.
Zach frowned, waiting for the sound of Matthew going upstairs to disappear, and looked at Benjamin, "Matthew can think of things, why do you refuse to think?"
The vampire did not use his usual tone of voice, with a persuasive attitude. The other party was Benjamin, and the vampire's seduction skills would not have any effect. Instead, his face showed concern for his friend.
Benjamin waved his hand impatiently, "What do you want to say? What do you want me to do?" Alpha tugged at the corner of his mouth and glanced at the vampire, "I am a werewolf, I am Alpha, witchcraft plus vampire blood, I have never 'Reject' these. Now, add demons to the mix?"
Benjamin had completely lost his appetite and pushed the dinner plate in front of him, "What do you think I am, assembling toys?"
Zach frowned and the cup in front of him was pushed away. This morning, both Grande brothers lost their appetite.
"I never thought that you were an assembly toy." Zach's pale face showed a coldness because of his seriousness. "I am your friend. I need to think about you. I need you to understand what I think of. I need you to hear this and I need you to do the right thing.”
Benjamin stared at the vampire. "You are a vampire, you know what is right for a werewolf." Benjamin shook his head, "Don't be so self-righteous."
Zach was silent for a moment, "Yes, I am a vampire and you are a werewolf. You were created to deal with our race. You don't want to listen to your friends, listen to your mortal enemies."
Benjamin stood up, his gaze locked on Zach, and the threat could no longer be obvious. The most basic bottom line for two people to become friends is not to mention the past history. Before the two met, there was no doubt that Benjamin had killed countless vampires and Zach had also killed countless werewolves. This makes their current friendship look like a joke.
Benjamin turned around to leave, his head still facing Zach's direction. Alpha was already angry.
The vampire's forehead twitched. He also stood up and said, "You have become weak!" His red eyes stared at Alpha who was walking towards the side door, "You have become lazy and slow!"
The vampire's sharp fingertips touched his cup and pulled out bright red blood streaks. "This is a gift from Mike, human blood." Zach wiped his fingers across his lips and narrowed his eyes slightly as he looked at his face. Down covered benjamin. "Did you notice it?"
"Your senses are deteriorating!" Zach walked around the workbench while Benjamin frowned. Keep approaching.
"It's close enough." Benjamin lowered his voice, with a hoarse hum. This was no longer a sound that human vocal cords could produce, and Alpha's skin had been fully expanded.
"Do you feel it now?" Zach didn't stop, "It's too late." The vampire's fingertips touched the neck covered with black and brown hair.
A moment of freeze-frame.
The vampire retreated far behind the desk, retracting his fingertips. His eyes returned to light green, looking at Benjamin who still had Alpha skin. Zach didn't want to actually start a fight.
"Your human form has completely lost its alertness." Zach sighed.
The dark brown fluff began to fade away, revealing Benjamin's frown, as if he was thinking about something.
Zach stared at the wine glass he placed on the workbench, hesitating whether to go and get it. He somewhat regretted the drastic method used to stimulate Benjamin.
Benjamin was silent for a long time, then tilted his head and said, "Whatever you want, go get the sample."
Zach breathed a sigh of relief.
Well, all this was just for Zach to get Benjamin to honestly take out the spices given by Sibella and have them analyzed by a professional pharmacist. Go steal some in the middle of the night? Uh, it's so despicable to do this kind of thing between friends!
But every time the two of them brought up the topic of spices, they each had their own selfish motives and kept silent. Zach didn't want to delay figuring out a solution until something really happened to Benjamin, so early this morning, he sat down with Benjamin face to face seriously to discuss this issue.
God knows what the three guys outside were doing, but they somehow got to the point. One ghost and one wolf couldn't pretend they couldn't hear it. The topic got into the aspect of racial identity, and it suddenly became heavy. Zach had no choice but to use the life safety that everyone cared about as an entry point.
Benjamin pushed the door open, "You." Alpha was obviously in a bad mood, "If you do this again, I will break your neck."
Zach pursed his lips, "As long as you don't cut it off, I will heal myself."
Benjamin shook his head helplessly, closed the door, and went out.
Only then did Zach completely relax. He walked to the workbench, took back his wine glass, swung it around for a while, emptied it in one gulp, and silently decided that this was the last glass, and he would save the rest for later.
Walking onto the back corridor, Benjamin had just come out of the warehouse and threw a wooden box from a distance, which was caught by Zach.
Zach raised his eyebrows, "You won't come with me?"
"Just giving it to Walter." Benjamin waved impatiently and walked to the hammock, "What am I going to do?"
Zach looked at Benjamin standing by the hammock. Just as he was about to lie down, he seemed to remember something. He twitched the corner of his mouth irritably, glanced at Zach, and walked towards the truck.
Zach raised his eyebrows. It seemed that Benjamin had long been aware of his growing laziness, but just like the race issue, Alpha was too lazy, or refused, to think about it.
Louise walked by, sorting out the documents in her hands. He raised his head and glanced at Zach, "You guys should get out too."
Zach smiled and nodded, holding up the wooden box in his hand, "Let's go..."
"Don't tell me." Louise frowned, obviously having something on her mind, and interrupted Zach directly.
Zach's expression was a little stiff. When he returned to Grande yesterday, Louise's friend Susan had already left. Maybe it was because he felt that he was not welcome in Grande House. But we know that she just likes to 'talk' too much.
Zach took Louise's arm and looked seriously at the woman with only light makeup in front of him, "You know, I don't blame you for Susan's matter."
Louise showed a smile, "But I will blame myself." The woman touched Zach's shoulder and slowly approached her lips, "Grand is different from ordinary families. When I bring my friends, Be more cautious.”
Then, Louise pushed Zach away with a smile, raised her head and shouted to the upstairs, "Matthew! Come on."
Zach, who was teased, shook his head helplessly, "Then will I have a chance to see your friend in the future?"
Think like an adult. Your girlfriend brought her friend to your home, and the host tampered with her friend's memory twice. This is not a graceful thing to do. No woman, well no, no creature could be so generous.
Louise tilted her head, made a thinking expression, and then said, "If you behave better, you still have a chance. Let's watch it slowly." Then she walked to her car with a smile, and Matthew hurriedly ran down the stairs, wearing Grande's old formal wear.
At the Grande House, perhaps the two 'brothers' who are the owners are the least serious about funeral work.
Zach reluctantly pulled Matthew over and straightened the wrinkled collar, "Tomorrow, when we go out with Laura, we are going to make some clothes for you."
Tomorrow is Saturday, and Laura said she was going shopping to celebrate Kepler's release from confinement. Of course, Alice will be protected by someone from Grande, and Matthew is naturally the default candidate.
Before Matthew could refuse, he was pushed out by Zach.
Both vehicles left Grande at the same time and turned onto Route 27.
"By the way." Zach sat in the passenger seat and asked Benjamin, "Are you going tomorrow?"
"Laura?" Benjamin shook his head, "Not going."
Zach tilted his head and changed the topic, "I'm thinking that we should let Mike stay in Grande." Zach had a thoughtful expression on his face, "Danny is not the most suitable teacher for Dylan."
Benjamin clicked his tongue, "There are some things that only guys who are not of your own race can say."
Alpha was obviously mocking Zack's previous actions.
Zach drooped his eyebrows with aggrieved expression, "Ben."
"Ben.J.M." Alpha shook his head, stopped trying to seduce the vampire, and thought seriously for a while, "That guy Mike obviously has his own problems, and he will become a very bad teacher."
Zach thought for a while and nodded. Although Mike didn't say it clearly, his various behaviors showed that he didn't have a good impression of himself as a devil. He often said some words that were inconsistent with his identity. This meant that he I am confused myself.
"So, Leon." Zach's face showed helplessness. Leon is a very typical devil who is afraid of chaos in the world. While he is good at inciting all emotions, he has no reason to be happy only for the moment. Zach doesn't want Dylan to be like that, and many of the issues in Grande don't stand up to demagoguery.
Benjamin continued to shake his head, "He is worse than Mike." Benjamin glanced at Zach, "If you want to find a teacher for Dylan, it should be Seth and Constantine. They know everything about demons and have clear Code of conduct, that’s what Dylan needs to be guided by.”
Benjamin's hand habitually touched the radio again, and after turning it for a long time, he remembered that it was broken, and frowned irritably, "We need to replace the radio!"
Zach sighed, he couldn't even find a suitable one for Big Q, he really didn't know where to look.
Zach looked out the window. The scenery in the South Side was really boring, with isolated houses standing on the ground. Zach remembered something, "Mel's grocery store might have it." (..)
