There are no cafes or bars on Ogier Street, only small restaurants with a mix of functions. The waiter rolled his eyes and ordered two cups of coffee for the two of them. He dropped the order and ran behind the counter to chat with his companion. This is not due to waiter snobbery, but now is not the time, and no one likes to be interrupted from their rest.
"Do you know Jason?" Zach asked directly.
Blake knew he couldn't avoid it, so he nodded, "But I'm not very familiar with it. I'm, um, working on a project, and I asked him to help me, that's it."
In fact, Blake doesn't need to explain. Zach knows that Old Hank kicked him out of Grande because he came up with the idea of this project. As I said before, some people choose to be radical, and some choose to live a peaceful life.
If anyone is curious, this project has something to do with equality.
Zach smiled, "Do you know about Jason and White?"
Blake had a sad look on his face and nodded, "I'm contacting these public people..." He paused, feeling that there was no need to speak too clearly, "Jason has been hesitating because White didn't Intention to make it public.”
Blake blames himself a little. Generally speaking, he is a very easy-to-get-together young man, but once he has anything to do with business, it is conceivable that he must be a very positive type. After all, his surname is Stone and he comes from a family of politicians. Have you ever seen politicians who are inactive? "I probably pushed a little too hard, I really didn't expect this to happen."
Zach raised his eyebrows. Blake seemed to have misunderstood something. He seemed to count White's death as a 'hate crime'.
Zach thought about it. He had never thought about that. He didn’t think the atmosphere in Barton City was that bad. After all, denying other people’s lives based on religious morality would only appear in the later stages of chaos (Sixth Vol. Zach's explanation to James), purely from the perspective that Hell wants to harvest souls, is indeed very effective.
But Grande and Crowley have an agreement. This kind of behavior that relies on incitement to induce people to accumulate sins has been banned, and judging from the current situation where the gates of hell are opened without supervision, there is no need. Crowley's focus was clearly on cultivating the soul's true faith. She wouldn't allow this to happen.
White's death is not Barton's problem, because the direction of Jason's escape was towards Newton. Regardless of whether it was the vampire Gangero or Newton's demon behind the scenes, this was already something outside of Barton.
Zack had seen a pattern of what was happening in Newton, the need for sociopaths to cause a real riot, and killing a guy in a closet instead of outright exploiting him didn't seem to make any sense at all.
Zach patted Blake on the shoulder. "What do you know about White?"
"Not much." Blake took a deep breath and replied, "I heard some from Jason." He looked at Zach with some confusion, "Did you, um, receive the commission from his parents?"
"Yes." Zach admitted readily.
There was a hint of expectation on Blake's face, "Have you found out..." Then he closed his mouth and behaved to Grande. He had heard of some.
Zach smiled, "I won't tell you anything. But we showed up at Jason's place, and you also know that we know about his relationship with the explanation." Zach waved his hand, "Tell me about Jason, we I’m still considering all possibilities, maybe I’ll find something.”
Blake looked at Zach's expression and stopped asking. He nodded. "Jason is very nice. He is a very cheerful and talkative person. He told me a lot about his experiences." Blake frowned. "It's just that it's been difficult for him to get an appointment recently. Every time I call, he refuses. I thought he was It’s because of White’s situation that I don’t want to continue.”
Zach nodded, thinking to himself that maybe it was not what Blake thought, but that he had joined that 'Fight Club'.
Blake continued, "After I learned about White, I have been hesitant to contact him." This mood is easy to understand, "After the funeral, I think it's time..." Blake glanced at Zach, his face Somewhat unnatural.
Zach understood that he was indeed a member of the Stone family. He knew that after the initial pain had passed, it would be the perfect time to capitalize on Jason's mood to complete his project. Just like hate crimes, give the final 'nudge' at the right moment.
Zach's expression suddenly froze. Could it be that the guys at Barton's border had the same idea and created such a thing, just to create an anti-social person!
"What's wrong?" Blake was very keen. He noticed the change in Zach's expression. "What did you think of? Is Jason in any danger?!"
Zach retracted his expression, smiled, and looked at the keen young man in front of him, "Danger? Is Jason in any danger?" Zach was talking.
"Uh." Blake frowned, "I'm worried about what someone like White will do to Jason."
Zach raised his eyebrows and smiled, "I want to admit my guilt first. We broke the lock on Jason's house. If you see it, don't think too much."
Blake opened his mouth, sighed, and shook his head, "Do you know where he went?" If he couldn't understand that Zach was avoiding the question, then he wouldn't be Stone.
Zach shrugged, "I wouldn't be here if I knew."
The two cups of coffee were placed in front of the two of them very slowly.
Zach had a troubled look on his face, "But if he keeps showing up, we don't know how to proceed with White's case, and it might just stagnate. Now, we know something important, you know, This should be the truth. But I really don’t know how to reply to the client, who is his mother.”
Zach smiled slightly, "Do you have any suggestions?"
Zach is deliberately diverting Blake's attention. No matter what Blake's project requires him to do, Zach doesn't want Blake to continue to dwell on Jason. This is to protect this young man who is not bad, and also to protect Grande's identity in the upcoming alien confrontation.
It's easy to understand. It would be funny if Blake happened to be watching when Grande was confronting vampires and demons. Zach might have to take a trip to the West End and cover everyone's memories!
Blake was stunned and looked at Zach, the coffee in his hand stopped in the air.
Then there was a sad look on his face, and his eyes unconsciously moved down to the cup in his hand.
Think about it, a young man like him died tragically for unknown reasons, and he thought that he was indeed using this incident to persuade the deceased's boyfriend to join his project. Politicians are still human beings, and Zach took advantage of the heart of this young politician. This matter was too close to him and he could not ignore it.
From the previous conversation, Zach could already feel that Blake was feeling self-blame, but above the emotion, it was still the goal he wanted to achieve, his project. This does not mean that he is a good politician, but it does not constitute a shortcoming.
What Zach has to do is to pull his goals down, let his emotions rise, and take over!
"You know." Zach didn't care about Blake's emotional changes. "With an elder like Old Hank, I tend to hide White's life. Just according to the police report, the truth is the same anyway. It's all a conspiracy. A violent crime that leaves people feeling helpless.”
Zach's face was full of helplessness, "But, hey, it is precisely because of elders like Old Hank that I will always be a little dissatisfied..."
"Don't tell his mother!" Blake's eyes returned to Zach's face.
Zach raised his eyebrows, seemingly startled by Blake who suddenly said haha loudly.
"I mean..." Blake shook his head irritably, "Don't, uh, don't say it's because he is..." Blake's eyes swept across the small restaurant, and someone was already attracted by his sudden loud voice. Looking over, he had to interrupt his words.
"Okay, okay." Zach showed a helpless smile, his vampire expression full, "I understand what you mean. You don't need to be excited."
Blake looked at Zach, not knowing what he was thinking in his eyes.
Zach stopped smiling and put on an apologetic expression, "You must think I'm a bad guy for asking you such a question."
Blake took a deep breath to calm down his emotions, "No, I'm very grateful that you asked me." He frowned, "You don't have to listen to me, I'm not qualified to ask you how to complete your commission." He suppressed his voice, Looking into Zach's eyes, "I know some things about you Grande. You can always do something special beyond the commission."
Zach raised his eyebrows. He could almost understand what Stone meant by this. It was a compliment, so Zach nodded and accepted it.
"So you must have a way to let the truth be revealed without hurting anyone." Blake took a deep breath and raised the coffee in his hand. "That's all. Let this matter end. I Trust you."
Zach nodded, looking at Blake's appearance. In fact, it is not Blake's turn to trust Grande yet, and he is not the client, but Zach knows that his goal has been achieved, and Blake has put his inner emotions above his own goal, hoping that this matter will be over It's over, no longer being used, that's enough.
"Yes, we will." Zach curled his lips, as if remembering something, and reminded him, "I also hope that Mr. Stone can forget about my little unprofessionalism."
Zach used the title Mr. Stone to divert attention again. You know, Zach hopes to receive a commission from the Stone family one day.
Blake seemed to be unable to keep up with Zach's mood change, and smiled reluctantly, "Blake, that's fine. Don't worry, it will only make me trust you more."
Zach nodded and waved, "Check out." (..)
