The Record Of Barton’s Fantastical Events

Chapter 42: hunter

It was past midnight, and the sound of metal rubbing against the ground was heard, and the manhole cover of the sewer was pushed open!

James's hand was already on the holster at his side. He leaned back and slid down the back of the chair. While hiding his figure, he patted the sleepy Coulson and motioned to the sewer not far away. The figure peeking out from the middle!

Coulson lowered his body alertly and stared at the person who suddenly emerged from the ground. The whole body was wrapped in a worn windbreaker, and with this appearance, Coulson also pressed his hand on the holster of his gun.

People who appeared on the street lowered their heads and walked quickly to the alleys between the buildings. Coulson became excited, they were about to catch it!

"Stop!" James pushed open the car door without warning. A beam of light shot out from James' clenched left hand, and the gun in his right hand was placed on his left wrist!

"Right there! Don't move!" James pressed his shoulder against the car door, leaned out of the car with his whole body, and approached the stopped 'person' while maintaining a shooting posture!

"Lance! What are you doing!" Detective Coulson suppressed his anger! What is James thinking! Now the other party is just a suspicious guy! Even if he is really a criminal, now the two of them have no evidence to arrest him!

But Coulson still cooperated with his partner. He pushed open the car door and quickly walked to the other side of James, blocking the other person's route from the sewer. The gun had been drawn out, relying on the flashlight in James' hand, aiming at the motionless man with his back to them.

"Lance!" Coulson lowered his voice, looking angry and confused, obviously not understanding why his partner rushed out so early.

James ignored Coulson's dissatisfaction. Seize the current situation? James didn't think he and Coulson had enough psychological endurance to witness the eating scene of a bottom creature!

"Turn around! Let me see your face!" James maintained his posture and tried to keep his voice calm. The son of General Lance was nervous. Why? Because James has already had a 'battle' with the alien race. One moment he was a passerby seeking help or hitchhiking on the roadside, and the next moment he turned into a bloody beast! The reason this 'beast' didn't take James' life was because it didn't like bones!

James will not place his hope on the alien race he encounters every time and has the same quirks as Jin. He will place his hope on the gun in his hand!

"Do as I say! Or I'll shoot!" James ordered the motionless man again, threateningly.

"It's him! It's him! It's him!"

This neurotic voice suddenly appeared! It's that tramp!

The dirty face of the homeless man poked out from the dark alley, excited... I am shocked, this is a guy with mental problems! The homeless man pointed at the guy in the trench coat and shouted: "It's him! He's wearing the same trench coat! Look! Those blood stains! Doug's blood!"

Although Coulson didn't like this homeless man with mental problems, and his words probably couldn't be used as evidence, Coulson was reminded and saw the mottled black marks on the windbreaker! This is a death certificate! Coulson breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed that his partner noticed this!

This is a beautiful misunderstanding.

"Do as he wants!" Coulson's tone became tougher. "Stretch out your hand and turn it around!" The two detectives exchanged looks and approached the criminal at the same time. "I'm counting to three! One, two, three. …”

red. Even under the dim light, James could still see the guy who suddenly turned around, and the red light in his eyes drew two red lines in the night sky!

"What the hell..." Before Coulson could finish his words in a moment of surprise, James's cry interrupted him!

"Don't look him in the eyes!"

The flashlight beam held by James shook and shook, and his brain became tense for a moment! Red eyes! The only thing with red eyes he knew was the vampire's enchanted eye! He didn't know if the red was the same thing. He lowered his head and tightened his finger on the trigger!

Gunshots rang out in the streets after midnight! James fired, but the action driven by instinctive fear had no effect!

The rancid smell rushed towards James! In the lowered sight of the general's son, a vague figure was approaching him hastily!

A humming air explosion sounded, and an electromagnetic explosion suddenly came from Detective Coulson who had no idea what was happening! Coulson's eyes rolled up as his whole body twitched! The body was like a monkey with a broken bone, so weak that it fell to the ground! Coulson was attacked, from behind!

"What are you doing! Aim for the knee!"

The roar coming from nowhere pulled James out of his fear!

knee!

James' arm quickly moved down, his fingers clicked, and bright red sparks burst out from the muzzle of the gun! In James' sight, the man rushing towards him lost his balance amidst the gunshots. The blood-stained windbreaker hit James with the rotten stench!

"Get out of the way! Man!" James' shoulder suddenly pushed to one side! James, who didn't react, only saw a pair of brown pointed-toe boots when his body was suddenly out of balance!

The 'man' who fell to the ground was squirming on the ground, his left leg that was smashed by James was strangely dragged behind him. 'His' body was propped up under the windbreaker, and he let out a hoarse neigh from his grin to his ears. Blood comes out of the mouth!

The stranger who suddenly appeared opened his brown leather coat, took out a square silver wine bottle from his waist, unscrewed the bottle mouth, and sprinkled it on the creatures on the ground!

The steaming white mist immediately enveloped the other party, and the sound of red-hot iron being thrown into cold water filled the silent street!

The stranger turned around and looked at the stunned James. The stiff silhouette and the Bolo tie on the collar made it clear that he was a federal Aboriginal-Indian: "Sorry, man! When you woke up, your head was It’s going to hurt!”

The blue light on the stun gun in the stranger's hand flashed in front of James' eyes. James felt a sting on his shoulder, and then a convulsion all over his body! After a few moments, James lost consciousness.

When James woke up, it was already the morning of the next day, and he and Coulson were sleeping in their car. James resisted the headache that seemed to explode and drew his gun. The disappearing bullet proves that what happened last night was not a dream!

A moment later, the phone in Zach's office at the Grand House rang. Zach smiled and sent off another guest who came to make an appointment, and then he answered the phone.

"James!" Zach said with joy in his tone: "I haven't heard your voice for a few days. Is everything going well?"

"No!" James on the other side of the phone didn't seem happy and had no interest in talking nonsense to Zach: "We need to talk!"

"What's wrong, Detective Lance, are you in any trouble?" Zach looked at the offices being pushed away, and Alice looked at the vampire with a melancholy look.

Zach motioned for Alice to go out first and held down the microphone: "I don't have time now. If you encounter someone you can't solve, you can ask Anthony."

"Hmph!" James on the other end of the phone snorted coldly: "No need to trouble the mayor! I just want to remind you morally that a hunter has appeared in Barton City!"

Zach listened to the hang-up sound from the receiver, frowned, and hung up the phone. The vampire has long thought that the guys who will come because of the rumors will not only be aliens, but also hunters who kill aliens!
