The Record Of Barton’s Fantastical Events

Chapter 435: 19 Calls and Lists

Danny the Phantom himself can't provide much help, so why should he take a few pills like the out-of-control Alpha? Unfortunately, even if Danny eats it, it won't have any effect.

The body of the phantom is both real and fake, a simulation of interaction with the material world. Therefore, whether there is any manifestation of the influence of matter on himself depends entirely on the will of the fantasy person. None of his performance can be used as a basis for judgment.

The reason why Zach called him was just that the word 'Valmina', as Zach said, was very ancient. Ordinarily, no ordinary people would know about it except for some special ethnic groups - alien races. The vampire thought that he should at least inform this phantom and see if there were any clues. It was just a matter of luck.

But sure enough, Danny didn't give anything useful. The only thing he could do now was to act as the undead Dylan's hand and sort out the names of 'dealers' in Barton City who might sell such things.

Zach called Walter as he told Old Hank, but it was actually Maggie Crescent. No surprise, no one answered. A more objective guess is that the prison break incident has passed, Walter is busy moving, and Maggie is honestly looking after the perfume shop.

In the absence of Crowley as the owner of Mary's Church, Zach had no reason to visit directly. He sat behind his desk and thought for a while before calling the Church of the Holy Child. After being concerned about Constantine's current situation and whether Mason was still accustomed to church life, he asked Constantine to give Mike the phone.

"How's Crowley doing, Mike?" After being familiar with our vampire communication methods, everyone should understand that Zach's social rule is always 'from the outside in', which is quite hypocritical if you think about it carefully.

"It's okay." Mike replied without energy. "Derek left Newton safely. Crowley and the others are staying in Newton as 'guests'. We don't know when they will be able to come back."

Mike was very conservative and did not reveal any actual information. But it sounds like it should go smoothly, at least for the 'guests'. Not 'prisoners'. As for the 'them' that Mike mentioned, no one really thought that Crowley would just run off to someone else's territory without any fuss!

Zach raised his eyebrows, listening to Mike's tone, "You sound worried."

"Well, yes." Mike admitted directly. The relationship between this demon and Crowley is really weird.

"Don't worry, I don't think Crowley will go to Newton without any preparation." Zach held the receiver and smiled, half comforting, half curious test. "You should know better than me."

"Yeah." Mike grunted and said nothing. It seems that Crowley has prepared something, but he seems to have no intention of saying it...

Zach tilted his head and didn't force it, "I need your help? Do you have time?"

"What?" The guy on the other side of the receiver regained his composure and asked.

Zach packaged his question a little, "Have you received an Earthbinder named Woody recently?" This means, has anyone named Woody died? Asking the police this question is ineffective because one-third of the bodies are found without identification. There are also those who change their names and hide their identities... But it's much easier to ask the devil. Everyone understands.

"Woody?" Mike confirmed, "Do you have your last name?" He started to help Zach directly.

Zach gave his last name, "He was an employee of the former Grand West End Funeral Home." He also added some details about his life.

After a moment of waiting, Mike responded, "I asked and there was no such person."

In a brief silence. Zach was relieved. There were no clues pointing to Woody leaving Barton, so this guy should still be alive.

"Did you say he was an employee of your West District?" Mike asked, maybe just out of curiosity.

"Yes. He is the grandson of old Hank's friend." Zach waved his hand easily, "He is temporarily missing. Grande accepted the commission to find him."

"Oh." Mike's voice became a little more relaxed, but immediately he said something of unknown meaning in a strange tone, "If it's your Grande who threatens him, we can help get rid of him."

Zach doesn't understand, but we should understand that Mike said this because of guilt. Remember James' Georgina. If Mike had told Zach earlier that Hunter Robert had kidnapped Georgina, maybe, just maybe , vampires and Alpha have a chance to prevent the subsequent helplessness...

Zach smiled and shook his head, "Thanks for the offer, but no need."

Zach suddenly raised his eyebrows and looked at the workbench, where Danny the Phantom was sorting out the list of 'dealers' under Dylan's narration, "However, although it is not a threat from Grande, I am not sure whether It has something to do with your little side business, it may be a threat, it may not be..."

"What side job?" Mike obviously didn't quite understand what Zach meant.

"That's right." Zach thought about his words for a moment, and didn't need to explain things that the demons knew, such as Benjamin's sleep. "We found some 'products' in this Woody's house. Obviously, this is not Barton. Local Smith’s product.”

Zach tilted his head and smiled without any special meaning, "I know that you took over the peripheral distribution network of Smith's secret industry without being noticed by Smith..." Everyone remembers the one that made Zach discover that Crowley was involved in the conspiracy. In the Smith commission, was there an event that brought a turning point to the entire commission

When the vampire and Alpha visited a peripheral dealer, they found that the other party had been replaced by a demon!

"It's impossible for such a 'product' to come to Barton on its own." Zach narrowed his eyes, "Someone is selling these foreign products in Barton. Do you know about this?"

This time, there was silence on the other side of the receiver for a long time. Please imagine Mike communicating with his colleagues with dark eyes mixed with bright red.

"No, we have no idea at all," Mike replied.

It was pretty much what Zach was thinking, "Then I suggest you check your distribution network, whether it's a competitor or an insider." Zach looked at the list that Danny had completed and handed over, "I also need to find Wu Di’s channel to obtain these things and see if there are any new clues, I think we can help each other.”

"Yes." The reply on the receiver was quick, but immediately hesitated, "I may have to wait for Crowley's instructions."

"Of course." Zach smiled, "Oh, remember to say hello to Crowley for me."

"Yeah." The phone hung up.

Zach put down the receiver and looked at the list in his hand. The familiarity made the vampire twitch his lips. Where does the familiarity come from? The list Smith once gave, excluding the inner technical staff, is the name Zach has in his hands now.

Zach threw the list away, and it was probably a waste of time. It’s understandable that she has dissatisfaction with Smith, but she has dissatisfaction with Crowley, haha. (..)
