The Shadow of The Beginning

Chapter 127: Parties and invitations

Views:

That night, a grand party was held in this elaborately decorated hall.

Hermann had a headache, and Eugene took this opportunity to introduce him to the neighbors living nearby, the elites in the business circle, the political giants and the beautiful ladies and girls.

Herman's head was about to explode because he had to remember so many names and related information at once.

Kirk also played a song in front of everyone at Eugene's instigation.

In terms of music selection, Kirk chose Waltz in D flat major (Puppy) by Chopin, who is known as the "Piano Poet".

Kirk's tender white fingers danced on the piano keys. The song was cheerful, lively, humorous and interesting. It seemed as if everyone could see a cute puppy spinning in front of them.

The imaginary puppy is leisurely and contented, sometimes trotting, sometimes chasing its tail in circles. This is the charm of music.

It was only one minute and forty-seven seconds, but it drew thunderous applause from all the audience present. They applauded and cheered for Mrs. Kirk's superb skills and performance, and Kirk gladly accepted it and responded by lifting the sides of his skirt to salute.

"Excellent, a worthy pianist." Eugene shouted loudly.

Everyone nodded, agreeing with Eugene's statement.

One of the men, a man in a brown suit and a mustache, walked up to Kirk and said to him,

"Mrs. Kirk, I wonder if you would be interested in attending a concert as a guest performer in the future? The reward is about 150 gold marks."

Kirk covered her mouth with her hands in surprise after hearing this. She glanced at Eugene, and after getting Eugene's nod of approval, she felt relieved.

"Excuse me, sir, what is your name?"

Kirk responded politely.

"I was rude. I was so excited after hearing the beautiful piano playing by Madam that I forgot to introduce myself."

The gentleman slapped his forehead and said,

"I am Frederick George, the director of the Munich Concert Hall."

After saying this, he raised his hat as a courtesy to introduce himself.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Frederick."

Kirk stretched out his right hand with his palm facing down, and Frederick reacted and took Kirk's hand, then bent down and symbolically kissed the joint of the back of Kirk's hand.

"I hope you can attend the concert on the 27th of this month as a guest performer. This is a feast for the music industry. You are also welcome to come with your husband and the lovely Einstar."

Frederick said so.

"Sir, your kindness is hard to refuse. In that case, I will agree on behalf of my beloved wife. When we were in Umur City, she stayed at home all day long because she was depressed because of taking care of Einstar. It's time for her to go out and move around more."

Herman walked up behind Kirk and said.

"That's great! If this performance is a success, there will be a subsequent opera performance of The Magic Flute, and we need a pianist to compose the music. This will be a good opportunity for the public to get to know Mrs. Kirk," Frederick said excitedly.

Frederick was in urgent need of a pianist who would live in Munich. Kirk, who had both outstanding looks and temperament, had an excellent appearance and the ability to perform in public, and was exactly the kind of idol-level pianist who could be promoted extensively.

Frederick, who is very business-minded, would naturally not miss this good opportunity.

Hermann was also happy to let Kirk go out and socialize more. More connections would improve their business and social status. Moreover, in the unfamiliar city of Munihe, their current development relied on Eugene's original connections.

With the band playing hard, everyone prepared to dance in the hall. Being rich and single, Eugene became a hot commodity in the eyes of the ladies.

Each of the passionate noble ladies showed off their dance skills, hoping to get Eugene's attention and let Eugene, the host of the banquet, dance with them.

Some of them posed coquettishly in front of Eugene, showing off their beauty; some raised their chins and looked cool; some walked to Eugene's side and shook their wavy hair.

But at this time Eugene ignored these ladies, but walked to Kirk's ear and whispered a few words.

Of course, it was impossible for Eugene to invite his brother and sister-in-law to dance the opening dance, but no one knew what he was planning with that smile on his face.

Kirk laughed immediately after hearing this. She found Eugene's clever idea very interesting, so she nodded and agreed with Eugene's bold idea.

Kirk saluted Frederick in front of him and said to him,

"You can talk to my husband Hermann about the concert in detail. Now please allow me to make a mistake."

After saying that, Kirk walked up the stairs to the room on the second floor and carried out the sleeping Einstar.

She was wearing a floor-length dress covered with decorative diamonds, and a servant was behind her holding up the hem of her skirt to prevent her from stepping on it and falling.

She held Einstar in her arms and stood beside Eugene.

The noise in the hall woke Einstar from his sleep. The cute baby opened his palms in Kirk's arms and yawned.

Seeing so many people in the hall, Einstar did not make any noise, but looked at these beautifully dressed people with curiosity.

Kirk smiled at Einstar who had just woken up, supported Einstar's back with his left hand, and used his right hand to gently scratch Einstar's nose.

"Little guy, we're going to play a game later, don't cry."

Einstar seemed to be very interested in the next game and immediately put on a serious expression.

Eugene took Einstar from Kirk's arms, "Oh, the little guy is still a little heavy."

Kirk smiled and said, "Yeah, it's almost a year old, how can it not sink?"

Seeing how skillfully Eugene held Einstar, you could tell that Eugene had held Hermann a lot when he was a child.

Eugene held Einstar in his arms, then freed his hands and snapped his fingers at the resident band. The band leader nodded to Eugene to show that he understood, and immediately prepared to play.

Eugene held Einstar's ribs with his hands, lifted him up in front of everyone, and said loudly,

"For the first dance today, I will dance with my oldest nephew, Einstar! Let us wish him the best, and hope that he can grow up happily, no matter whether the future is bright or dark. Whether he becomes a musician, businessman, or scientist, he will contribute to society. Music, start!"

Everyone applauded after hearing what he said. Eugene's behavior was very creative and would not offend the ladies who extended olive branches to him. This indirectly reflected Eugene's tactfulness.

But Eugene's somewhat abnormal behavior that followed made people look sideways.
