The Shadow of The Beginning

Chapter 128: Horse riding and water jets

Eugene playfully placed Albert on the back of his neck and twisted his body to the music.

Albert grabbed Eugene's hair with his little hands and looked a little nervous, but still didn't cry.

With the light-hearted and cheerful music as accompaniment, everyone at the party burst into laughter at Eugene's funny actions and Albert's serious look.

The two people, one big and one small, formed a humorous contrast. Einstar looked serious like a little adult, while Eugene twisted his body and looked like a naughty little kid.

"Smile, you are the protagonist of this party, little Albert." Eugene jumped up and down, making Albert laugh.

And with everyone's expectation, Albert's face broke into a bright smile, and laughter echoed in the hall.

After the song, Albert, who was riding the pony, was a little reluctant to get off Eugene's head, but had to choose between continuing to ride the pony and staying in his mother's arms, and Albert chose the latter.

The music that followed became romantic and ambiguous, and with Eugene's somewhat exaggerated performance as an opening, everyone felt more relaxed.

The boy mustered up his courage and walked towards the girl he liked. He bent down, stretched out his hand and invited her to dance, while the shy girl stretched out her hand in response.

Eugene walked to a long table with various fine wines, picked up a glass of champagne and drank it alone.

It is not appropriate to invite the ladies to dance at this time, as doing so would surely attract people's attention.

All he had to do now was wait for the younger generation to start dancing, and he only had to wait quietly for the lady to take the initiative.

Hermann had a pleasant chat with Frederick, whom he had just met. Hermann discovered that this gentleman who worked in the music industry actually had an extremely impressive amount of knowledge. He had some unique and insightful views on astronomy, geography, history and finance.

It is a very happy thing to chat with such a person, because no matter what topic you talk about, he can continue the conversation with you along the way.

The more Hermann talked with Frederick, the more he felt that Frederick's knowledge was unfathomable.

Hermann felt that Frederick in front of him was like a living encyclopedia, and even comparable to the so-called great sages in history who possessed such profound knowledge.

Frederick was also impressed by Hermann's eloquent answers. He praised him:

"Mr. Hermann, it is a real pleasure to meet you. I have benefited a lot from your insights on business."

"Liao praised Mr. Frederick. Your knowledge astounds me. I hope to interact with you more in the future."

Herman waved his hand and said.

"I shall be glad to do so. I shall come to visit you more often in the future. I hope you and Mr. Eugene will not find me annoying."

Frederick and Hermann shook hands vigorously.

After saying that, Herman was called over by Kirk, and Frederick turned around and gave a weird smile towards an empty place.

Because Albert's face was now flushed and he looked as if he was trying hard, Hermann quickly strode forward in Kirk's direction.

"Oh, honey, what's going on?"

Herman said anxiously, looking at Albert in Kirk's arms.

"I don't know. Albert suddenly showed signs of uneasiness just now. He has been fed rice porridge, so it is definitely not a matter of hunger."

Kirk said with equal dismay.

"Put the baby back to the room quickly. Maybe there are too many people and it's too noisy here, and the baby can't adapt to this kind of environment." Eugene said after taking a sip of champagne.

"Oh, I see." Herman responded, and turned to Kirk and said, "Let me do it. It's inconvenient for you to move around in your long skirt."

Kirk smiled happily, feeling proud of her husband's thoughtfulness, and she handed Albert in her arms to Hermann.

Hermann immediately carried Albert back to the room and laid him flat on the crib.

Seeing that Albert’s face was still flushed, Herman was a little worried, but he heard a puff.

Then a foul smell came from under Albert.

"Ah?! No way." Herman was suddenly a little panicked. He had never changed his son's diaper before. It was always Kirk or the servants who did it.

Hermann felt it was new and curious, so he wanted to boldly change his son's diaper.

He carefully untied the thin strings on both sides of the diaper that were tied around his waist and flipped the front of the diaper forward.

A naughty little elephant appeared in front of Hermann. Hermann couldn't help but touch it with his hand, but this made the little elephant spray water.

Albert's expression was no longer tense, but instead showed a relaxed look.

A small drop of clear water splashed onto Hermann's defenseless face, and Hermann, who was making a face with his mouth open, was splashed directly.

With warm water drops sliding down his face quietly, Herman didn't know whether to laugh or cry, so he took a piece of cloth from the side and wiped his face.

There seemed to be a little indescribable taste lingering in his mouth. Herman smacked his lips and thought,

“It’s actually a little sweet?”

After he realized what was happening, he spat a few times, opened the door immediately, and ran to the bathroom to rinse his mouth with water and brush his teeth.

His clothes were already wet from the small stream of water and the rag he was using to wipe them, making him look a little disheveled.

"My own son, I don't despise him, I don't despise him."

Hermann comforted himself.

Just as Hermann left the room, a sneaky figure walked into the room where Albert was.

The man leaned in front of Albert, took out a piece of paper from his arms, and read the contents of the paper softly in Albert's ear.

Albert instinctively felt fear and uneasiness. Although he did not understand the symbolic meaning of those words, he could sense the depth hidden behind them.

Listening to these words was like being stared at by a vulture circling high in the sky, ready to attack at any moment.

After the man finished reading the contents of the paper, he immediately left the room because it was not safe here and Hermann would be back soon.

The man walked out of the door and returned to the crowd as if nothing had happened.

Hermann straightened his clothes in front of the bathroom mirror and walked back to Albert's room.

He had rinsed his mouth with water and a toothbrush no less than fifty times, and the toothbrush had been bristled by Hermann's brushing.

He smacked his lips again and felt that there was no bad smell left in his mouth, only the minty scent of toothpaste.

"Being a father is really not easy." Hermann thought to himself.
