"Oh? How come there is no way to go? Tell me."

Marquis Hohen said, leaning one hand on the door frame and stroking his proud blue beard with the other.

Abel didn't even dare to turn his head, and clenched his fists to prevent himself from trembling with fear. He had been with Hohen for many years and naturally knew how cruel and ruthless Hohen was.

Ai Tina suppressed her fear, stood up, bowed, and said to Hohen,

"Hello, Marquis Hohen, today is my day off, so I invited Mr. Abel to chat with me. We were just discussing witch hunting. As you know, witch hunting has a great impact on the whole world at present."

Hohen smiled contemptuously, "Witch hunting? They don't dare to come to my territory and make trouble."

After that, he leaned close to Abel's ear and said, "Abel, are you right?"

Abel nodded silently.

Hohen showed that he completely believed in the two of them and yawned nonchalantly.

"Well, I'm a little tired, and some things are almost finished. I'll go back to my room to rest, and call me when lunch is ready."

After saying that, he walked out of the room alone.

"Yes." Abel agreed.

Abel winked at Adina, then left her room and closed the door.

Just at that moment, Adina felt a murderous aura, but it was quickly retracted.

"Perhaps Marquis Hohen doesn't want to break up for the time being?"

Aitina thought.

She smiled bitterly to herself and lay down on the bed.

What I have done is like digging my own grave, and it is all a futile struggle.

She thought back to the days when she and Silas used to laugh and joke with each other in the village. Unfortunately, the changes of the times made her experience these twists and turns.

In the face of the great wave of the witch-hunting era, who can stay out of it? Who can remain immune

She was depressed. If her experiences were recorded, maybe a novel could be published? Maybe after publication, her name would be recorded in the history books like the great poet Dante

Adina laughed at herself for having such irrelevant thoughts. Even though she had no worries about food and drink now, the days ahead would be the most difficult.

Since entering this castle, Aitina is no longer free.

"Escape is no longer realistic. Even Mr. Abel did not expect Marquis Hohen to return early, otherwise he would not have been so panicked just now. Is the only choice now to continue to persevere in this depressing castle?"

This is the monologue in Adina's heart.

On the other side, Abel was busy in the castle.

Now that Hohen has returned, he naturally has to do his job as a butler well, so that he can deceive Hohen into thinking that he was really discussing witch hunting with Adina.

Of course, this is just a lucky idea.

Abel was well aware of Hohen's bad character.

Since he was a child, Hohen wanted power, hegemony, and to become a god-like being.

He is a man who will do anything to achieve his goals.

In order to achieve his goal, sacrificing some ordinary people in his eyes is nothing.

Abel felt that it was extremely stupid for him to gamble with Hohen. He should have left when he realized Hohen's true evil face, but he had no way to retreat.

Ever since Hohen awakened his bloodline power, he has possessed extremely sensitive perception abilities.

It was too late to escape by then, so Abel had no choice but to compromise.

The wheel of fate turns relentlessly, bringing ends and beginnings round after round.

——

Hohen sat in his study, once again reading Dante's "Divine Comedy" carefully page by page.

He really likes Dante's sentences.

"The road to glory is not paved with flowers. Hahaha, what a realistic sentence! If you want to become the top, how can you climb to the top of the mountain without making some sacrifices?"

Hohen whispered to himself, smiling.

"Abel, Abel, you have been with me for many years. You will die eventually. But you will not be alone. If I want to walk the road of honor, I will remember that I walked up step by step on your corpses."

After saying this, Hohen closed "The Divine Comedy" and walked out of the room.

"Someone, tell everyone in the castle to come to the main hall. I'm going to have a party today." Hohen said loudly.

The guard nearby heard this and agreed to inform everyone.

Such a strange instruction left everyone confused. They couldn't understand why servants could participate in the Marquis's carnival, but it was an order and they dared not disobey.

Everyone gathered in the main hall timidly, including the cooks, laundry maids, guards, etc., all stood in the main hall waiting for the master to arrive.

When Abel heard the order, he knew something was wrong and rushed to Adina's room. He opened the door hastily.

But he saw Hohen's figure.

Hohen lifted Aitina's chin with his index finger, looked back at Abel, and said to Aitina,

"Do you really think I'm stupid? Is it necessary to change into a maid uniform and dye your hair black to discuss witch hunting?"

Adina was like a mouse caught by a cat, not daring to move at all.

Abel saw this scene and realized it was too late, so he said,

"Hohen, I have been with you for many years and have some affection for you. Please let her go for my sake. I am willing to accept the loss."

Then he drew the long sword from his waist and prepared to slash the artery in his neck.

Hohen stretched out his right hand and clenched it in the air, and the sword in Abel's hand fell to the ground.

"Tsk tsk tsk, I haven't even told you how I'm going to kill you. Why are you in such a hurry?" Hohen said jokingly.

Even though his words were full of sarcasm, he still pretended to be elegant.

"Hohen is a demon who eats people without leaving any bones." Abel thought to himself, but he had lost his sword and had no way to resist this inhuman vampire.

"Don't worry, I will stay with you two until the end." After saying this, Hohen licked his lips with his tongue.

This action made him seem extremely hypocritical and pretending to be kind.

"Aitina, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have dragged you into this mess." Abel said helplessly.

"Mr. Abel, I don't blame you. At least you saved Silas, didn't you?"

At this time, tears welled up in Adina's eyes. She had already seen her own end, but who would be willing to die knowing that death was approaching

"Haha, poor performance, not worth mentioning acting skills." Hohen said.

After saying this, Hohen used his evil vampire power to pull Abel into Aitina's room and placed a ban on the door.

"Just wait for the end in despair. Hahaha!" Hohen laughed wildly.

After leaving the room, Hohen slowly walked towards the hall from the stairs on the side. After a while, the servants bowed to him when they saw Hohen coming into the hall.

"Everyone, welcome to today's carnival. Well, it's my carnival." Hohen said loudly and shook his cloak.

"Thank you for your gift, master." the servants replied.

"My Lord Marquis, do you need us to go to the kitchen to cook some food?" This was what the head chef said.

Hohen waved his hand without answering the question, but raised his voice and asked:

"I believe everyone here is a hopeful person, right? Whether you are planning to learn cooking skills in the kitchen, or to support your family, or for your children, as long as you have hope for life, please raise your hand."
