Shen Bing covered her mouth and screamed, then sat down on the ground with a thud.

I was also frightened and my heart trembled. I quickly withdrew my hand, and hurriedly used a red rope to tie a circle on the edge of the pit, muttering: "Wandering soul, why stay here? The three souls are coming, and the seven spirits are coming. No rice today, tomorrow night..." I used the soul-binding spell and the appeasement policy, telling him that there was nothing to eat for him today, but I would give him a big meal tomorrow night, and he had to stay still and let me dig him out.

Unexpectedly, before I finished chanting the spell, he suddenly started coughing violently and raised his head. Damn, the light was reflected on his face, and it turned out to be Zhao Chengshi!

"How...how could it be him?" Shen Bing almost lay on the ground and pointed at Zhao Chengshi, her little face as pale as a ghost.

I turned around and shushed him, pointed in the direction of the mourning hall, and said in a low voice, "Keep your voice down, it will be troublesome if you call them out."

Shen Bing stared in horror and nodded.

Seeing Zhao Chengshi, I felt an inexplicable fear in my heart. Although I was not sure whether he was dead or alive, it was too weird that he disappeared for no reason and was buried here! I leaned down and stretched my head to look at Zhao Chengshi's face. To be honest, it would be better for me to see a ghost face than to see his face at this moment. I am more immune to that thing.

His face was covered in mud, and after being buried in the soil for a while, his face had turned purple, just like a zombie that had just been unearthed! He was gasping for breath, blood was flowing out of his mouth and nose like water, and he coughed occasionally, blood splattered everywhere.

When I saw white air coming out of his mouth and nose, I was no longer so scared and was sure that he was still alive. In the early winter night, the temperature was only a few degrees, and white air would come out of his breath. If it was a zombie, it would probably emit black smoke!

Zhao Chengshi's eyes were dull, staring at me blankly, looking like he was dying. I didn't bother to ask him how he was buried here, and quickly told Shen Bing to continue digging. When we dug below his shoulders, I grabbed his arms and pulled him up, like pulling a carrot out of the soil.

After throwing him to the ground, I sat down to catch my breath. Shen Bing almost lay on my back and asked Zhao Chengshi in a low voice: "Weren't you in the morgue just now? Why did you bury yourself here so quickly?"

I almost fainted from anger. Can he bury himself? Bury one and let me see.

Zhao Chengshi shook his head and said nothing, just spitting blood. Seeing him like this, I knew he must have been beaten, so I asked him, "Who hit you?" Zhao Chengshi struggled to get up, dipped his hand in the blood, and wrote on the ground. As soon as he wrote a dot, he fell to the ground and fainted.

I quickly pulled him up and felt his pulse and heart. His vital signs were very strong, so his life was not in danger. Maybe the mud squeezed his blood vessels and blocked his blood circulation. Now that his whole body was relaxed and he was excited, the blood rushed up and he fainted temporarily. This was basically normal. When we were training in the special forces, medical self-help was a compulsory subject. Although I can't say that I have great medical skills, I am sure I won't make mistakes in this situation.

There was no need to send Zhao Chengshi to the hospital. He would be fine after two days of rest in the house. I carried him on my back and was about to leave when the engine of a car in front of us suddenly started. My first instinct was that there was danger. Before I could remind Shen Bing, the car rushed towards us at a reverse speed of at least 50 miles per hour.
