The Whispering Verses

Chapter 1850: A night of chaos

Views:

"It's all right here, they are just ordinary people."

Shade explained, and Miss Benannis with long golden hair looked around and nodded:

"There's already a fight going on in the opera house, but it's probably just to attract attention. There's a lot of fighting tonight. Margaret, stay here. I'll make you unconscious."

"Yes, sir."

The princess in the carriage said.

"Shad, use Moonlight Slash on us."

The silver moonlight flew towards the witches. The three of them raised their hands together, and the shattered moonlight split into three pieces and flew towards the side wall of the alley, leaving deep, glowing marks on the wall:

"That's all. Margaret, you don't have to explain anything. You are the victim, and those ordinary people who attacked you were just unlucky and ran into someone who tried to save the beautiful woman."

Then he said to the others:

"I will stay here and wait until the Gray Gloves come and then return to the opera house. I am in the opera house now, manipulated by Sirius' memory, so I won't arouse suspicion. Audrey, go to where you should go now and remember to explain why you are late for the meeting with the princess. Sylvia, you and Shad track down the matter."

This was Miss Benanis's home turf, so she would arrange the next things. The others nodded in agreement and then took action.

Miss Sylvia reached out and grasped Shad's arm:

"Don't resist."

Xia De felt his eyes blurred, and then he found that the two of them were standing at the top of the spire-like roof of the opera house, with a stone statue of an owl beside them. The view here was extremely wide, and although it was night, Xia De's eyesight allowed him to clearly see that with the Glass Bottle Opera House as the center, teams of police and a large number of troops were approaching.

However, this attack was purely carried out by ordinary people, so the church team did not make any moves.

"How are we going to track it down?"

Shade asked, and Miss Sylvia replied:

"Before I came here with them, I ran into a gunman on the outskirts and found out some things from him. Now use your perception to cooperate with me to determine if there is any spatial anomaly area nearby."

She placed her right hand on Shade's shoulder, and the two of them cast a spell together:

“Spatial perception.”

"Strong spatial perception."

Two extremely powerful mental powers swept across the entire area. This time, the Great Witch of Space and Shade cast the spell with all their strength. Looking down from a high place, Shade even felt that he had completely grasped all the terrain details of the nearby area. It was like having an accurate real-time map in his head.

"What magic did you use?"

Miss Sylvia was a little surprised. She also saw a similar scene to Shade:

"You don't have to answer me. We can talk about it later. It's not important. If you find it, follow me."

The witch's golden eyes looked towards the destination, and then she took another step forward. The two disappeared from the roof of the opera house and appeared in a closed watch shop on the southeast side of the opera house.

Although the store door was closed and there were no lights on, there were actually three men sitting inside the store, constantly checking their pocket watches. After Shade and Miss Sylvia appeared out of nowhere, the three men immediately pointed their guns at them, but with a click, the three men turned their heads back almost at the same time.

The sound of the body falling to the ground was somewhat dull, and the abnormal space area was located on the wall behind the counter of this watch shop. The Great Witch of Space only needed to investigate and knew what was going on:

"The spatial anomaly that was accidentally linked here was originally quite weak, almost the same as the crack you saw after eating the mushrooms Audrey mentioned. It would be fine if it was left untreated. There have been many such incidents recently. However, someone used a special spatial force to fix this link point into a temporary spatial gate. Although it cannot exist for a long time, it can still last for a few hours. It's amazing. I want to see who is on the other side."

She was not worried about an ambush. The other side only sent ordinary people, which meant that they still did not dare to violate the Official Secrets Act, so there was definitely no strong enemy on the other side. The life ring appeared behind her, and Miss Sylvia and Shade passed through the area on the wall that was vaguely shaped like a door. The feeling of weightlessness lasted only a short second and then ended. Lights appeared above her head, and a wooden door in the middle of the hall was pushed open. Shade and Miss Sylvia walked out of the door one after another.

"The door is open. Are they back? No, that's not right. They're not our people!"

There were panicked cries from around the hallway and the fence on the second floor above. After a series of crackling gunshots, dozens of bullets stopped around Shade and Miss Sylvia. The witch looked up and looked around. With a wave of her hand, all the bullets returned to their original path and hit everyone who had fired shots around them.

"Hurry up, the church will be able to find out about this soon."

"Yes, I understand."

Both Shade and the witch knew what they were going to do. After scanning the building with their spatial perception and enhanced spatial perception, they each took a step in different directions and disappeared into the hallway together. In the room upstairs, panicked shouts, gunshots, and other sounds of fighting followed.

Just five minutes later, on the third floor of this secret manor hidden in the northern suburbs of Michaela Blast Furnace City, with a startling loud noise, three figures broke through the glass and fell into the yard from the third floor in a panic. Then Miss Sylvia flew out surrounded by red butterflies. Shade appeared among the red butterflies and threw the evil god's holy emblem in his hand to the ground:

"The Tyranny Club."

There were a large number of ordinary people and a few ring sorcerers in the manor. The three people in front of him were all middle ring so any one of them could not beat Shade. The highest among them was eight rings, but even if they were combined, they were no match for Miss Sylvia.

"Who made that space door?"

The witch asked the crucial question, and the three people who had fallen to the ground got up and did not answer. The eight-ring, seven-ring, and six-ring life rings appeared respectively, and the blasphemy-fear fog toxins emitted dazzling silver auras:

"Fear aura!"

"Fog of war!"

"Deadly Mercury!"

Silver mist with the power to corrode the body and soul drifted away, but Miss Sylvia just waved her hand, and the deadly silver mist disappeared as if it had been wiped out.

The three of them then held up the holy emblem and praised the evil god - the god of tyranny in unison. However, just as they began to praise him, one of them was pierced through the chest by the lightning spear thrown by Shade. The silver lightning exploded, blowing apart the right half of his body, but he was only unconscious and did not die.

The remaining two people used the evil god's magic together. A giant black hand condensed out of the air and slapped Miss Sylvia, but the witch just took a light step to avoid the impact that caused the house behind her to ignite black flames.

She looked up into the distance, then raised her hand to imprison the six-ring woman in place in the form of a space blockade. The remaining eight-ring warlock turned and flew away, then collided head-on with the church's ring warlock who came from the night sky.

They were two twelve-ring sorcerers. Neither Shad nor Miss Sylvia knew them, but the traces of divine magic on their bodies, symbolizing the righteous God of Peace and the benevolent father, could not be forged.

The two of them easily caught the already injured Eighth Ring man. After landing, they looked at the remaining people in the hidden manor. After considering for a moment, the old man with glasses said:

"Is there any information you can share?"

Miss Sylvia looked at Shade, and Shade said:

"We have been tracking the Tyranny Club for a long time. We only found their base outside the city tonight when we encountered them assassinating Margaret Anjou. The church should have known that there is an Edwards in the Tyranny Club. We suspect that the space gate connecting this manor and the watch shop in the city was created by that Edwards. This special power, which is different from the ring warlock system, should be the gift of Edwards' bloodline."

Of the three captives, Miss Sylvia will take the six-ring woman back for interrogation, and the church can take the other two. The two twelve-ring warlocks of the Peace Church looked at each other:

"May I ask who you are?"

"Witch Council."

Miss Sylvia generously admitted that although there was a man standing next to her, no one knew whether it was an illusion:

"We've shared intelligence, now it's your turn, what's going on tonight?"

The church's ring warlocks were not stingy with the information that could be easily found:

"The Tyranny Club planned the attack on Princess Margaret of Anjou. Not only her, but also Duke Simier and Prince Samuel of Anjou were attacked at the same time. Samuel of Anjou was tackled by the guards and luckily escaped, but Duke Simier was shot in the right leg. The aorta was bleeding, which was very dangerous, but fortunately it was treated in time. The bodies left by the attackers had MI6 identification marks, and as to whether it was them, it has nothing to do with people like us."

MI6 would definitely not allow its own people to carry identification tags during their operations, so it was definitely not someone from MI6.

Miss Sylvia nodded:

"The two fifth-generation Edwards from the Tyranny Club and the Dragon Feast Cult may have important information about the island. If you can get it, the parliament is willing to exchange it for other information."

This once again confirmed her identity.

The old man with glasses nodded and suddenly asked:

"Are there any of your people in the Edwards family?"

Miss Sylvia smiled and took the hand of the six-ring woman who was unable to move:

"Guess what."

After a loud bang, a golden-black vortex appeared behind her. Shade nodded politely to the two high-ring warlocks and walked in first, followed by Miss Sylvia.

A few more gunshots were heard in the distance, startling the birds in the woods. To the north was the peaceful Green Lake at night, and to the south was the Glass City. However, in the direction of the city, burning black smoke rose from nowhere.

The silent night will probably not remain silent any longer.
