Chapter 47: An increasingly complex conspiracy

The four of them were still sitting in the four chairs. As Professor Garcia raised his hand, Miss Jones began to record what happened next at a faster speed.

The professor with pointed ears had a halo in his hands. As he whispered the spell, Shade saw colorful blocks of color filling up his living room with the gas lamp on.

The entire living room is divided into two parts. The normal part is the east side where four people sit, while the west side gradually becomes blurred in the color blocks, but then gradually becomes clear.

Only the half of the living room that had become clear turned into a dim, low room.

The low room was also divided into two parts, connected to Shade's living room, and the lights in the room were extremely dim. There was a low bed with dirty yellow sheets, a desk with a rusty metal typewriter, and a bookshelf filled with various other reagents.

Soaked in those reagents were human eyeballs of varying sizes, and even a small primate corpse with its eyes closed and its body curled up, which made Shad very uncomfortable.

The room was extremely dark, and the old gas lamp above the desk seemed like it would go out at any second.

A thin, balding, middle-aged man wearing a brown coat, huddled like a mouse in a chair in front of a desk, turned his head in amazement, staring at the strange living room and four people that suddenly appeared.

His face was full of pits and his big red nose was covered with blackheads. His pupils shrank in fear, and he was pouring mercury from a bottle in his left hand onto the table.

"I am using thaumaturgy - space division and space combination. It requires at least the eleventh level to learn."

Professor Garcia of the School of History said.

"Please tell the truth."

Professor Sanchez, with a serious expression, stretched out his hand and pointed at the man in the low half of the house. There was an ambiguous pink light on his finger:

"Who are you?"

The professor asked loudly.

"Peter the Dwarf Mouse of Quicksilver Blood."

The short man's eyes were blank under the light of the professor's finger. His accent was very similar to Professor Garcia's. He must have been from Carsenrick. The bottle of mercury in his hand fell on the table without him noticing.

"What are you doing?"

The professor asked again, the ambiguous pink light between his fingers becoming stronger.

"We lost an important item - the statue of the old god 'Vampire Duke Laoel'. We wanted to use the Secret Keeper-level relic to avenge the person who stole the statue, but the other party was too strong. So, I was asked to use the magic - the smell of my rat companion to find clues.

The smell in that alley is very mixed, and after the battle last night, I searched for a whole day before I found that one of the people who had been to the alley was using a ritual, and his power was very weak. I am now using the magic of mercury poison mist to try to kill him directly. "

Professor Sanchez nodded. Shade looked at the pink light on his fingers and felt a little dizzy. Professor Garcia explained:

"This is a spell - Charm Humans. The effect is not as good as this. It is Professor Sanchez's spirit rune system and frequent practice that can bring out such characteristics... ... It is really not easy to make the disobedient young students in the academy tell the truth about their homework."

"Who else knows about Mr. Hamilton?"

Professor Sanchez pointed at Shade normally, and Peter the Short Mouse answered slowly with his eyes blank, his voice becoming softer and softer, as if he was talking to his lover:

"Only me. I haven't had time to report yet, and I want to take all the credit. I have never made a mistake with this move. Even the Silver Eyed One has praised my magic skill."

"Have you ever killed anyone?"

The professor asked.

"Yes, I have killed many. Many magics require fresh human organs as..."

"Oh well."

The pink light on Professor Sanchez's finger went out, and then a black light flew out from the fingertips and crossed the dividing line between the two houses. The body of Peter the Dwarf fell to the ground, and he fell into a permanent sleep.

Xia De opened his mouth slightly, and had a new understanding of the professor's vigorous and decisiveness. After several seconds, he remembered to say:

"Professor Sanchez, Professor Garcia, thank you for your help."

This completely solved the trouble caused by the statue of the old god.

As for the dead man, Xia De did not feel any pity for him. The other party was a bad guy and wanted to harm him. He was even glad that he did not have to dirty his hands.

"No need to thank me. If it weren't for me meeting you today, he wouldn't have discovered your identity."

Professor Sanchez said, and then motioned for Shade to stand up:

"Go check if there are any important documents on his desk. Don't touch anything. We cannot leave our seats during the ceremony, otherwise the projection will be unilaterally interrupted."

Xia De nodded and stood up, and heard Mia scratching the door louder. The curious but timid cat probably wanted to know very much what was happening outside.

He left his seat and walked towards the other part of the living room that was divided into two. When his body crossed the center line and entered the low house, a stench and smell of decay that had not been ventilated for a long time immediately hit him in the face.

He crossed from the second floor of No. 6 St. Teresa's Square to a narrow and cold rented apartment somewhere in Tobysk City. He did not check the row of reagent bottles on the bookshelf, but went straight to the desk.

In addition to a pool of mercury on the desk, there were two magics, one for finding clues and the other for pouring mercury, and the materials needed for the spells. The only document was the unfinished one on the typewriter. It was a letter written in Carsenric, and the ending was not yet finished.

Most of them consisted of Peter the Mouse complaining about the troubles of his job, the dangers he encountered, and the foggy weather in Tobysk.

The last paragraph only wrote the beginning, mentioning their cooperation with the cultists of the evil god Blood Feast Lord, and the Mercury Blood attempted to obtain some materials from the cultists. Another organization, the Blood Spirit School, had promised to help them, but it seemed to be busy with some delivery room in the New World, so so far, it has only sent a Secret Keeper-level relic as help, which made the Silver Eyed One furious.

The cultists of the Lord of the Blood Feast, Mercury Blood, and the Blood Spirit School, this time three organizations were involved.

Xia De wrote down this part, returned to his living room and sat down to report it verbatim. The two professors did not comment on this, and Professor Garcia cancelled the abnormal state of the space, restoring Xia De's living room to normal.

Even the mercury mist disappeared, as if it was just an illusion. In this way, cautious outsiders no longer had to worry about dying from mercury poisoning.

"In short, Mr. Hamilton, as a first-ring sorcerer, you should try to avoid getting involved in such dangerous things. Where were we just now?"

To the two professors, what happened just now was nothing but a trivial matter. Xia De was also happy that there was no hidden danger. After taking note of the Blood Spirit School of the Lord of the Blood Feast and what he had just seen, he sat up straight in his chair and said:

"We just mentioned two things. Professor Garcia said that he would come to guide me in my time travel practice tonight, and we will do so after we have discussed everything. The second thing is what you wanted to talk about with our five-member group."

Professor Garcia nodded to Shade, and Professor Sanchez patted his head:

"Oh, yes, about the five-member team. Someone in your group of five has a serious problem. One of you, the 'other self' is different from the normal one, and the academy believes that it is a major hidden danger."

Xia De, who was just full of joy, suddenly felt a shock in his heart and his face changed drastically.
