By the time Ding Sha finally woke up, Xiao Jun no longer needed to be isolated.
She lay in the ward that Dr. Liu had fought so hard to secure, and tried hard to open her eyes slightly.
Xiao Jun was standing by the bed, wearing a mask.
The exposed eyes were full of red bloodshot.
He looked extremely haggard.
"You're awake..." Xiao Jun looked at her deeply and said this after a long time.
“Hmm…” Ding Sha hummed softly.
"You scared me," Xiao Jun squatted in front of the bed and pulled her hand to his face, "I waited for you at home for a long time, but you didn't come."
"I thought you didn't want me anymore."
“How could that be…” Ding Sha smiled weakly.
"I cooked a big pot of pig's trotter soup and am waiting for you to finish it." Xiao Jun touched her pale and bloodless cheek lovingly.
"I had a dream." Ding Sha vaguely held Xiao Jun's hand.
"What's it like?" Xiao Jun leaned over her pillow and listened to her.
"It was good in the dream," Ding Sha couldn't help thinking about the dream, "but you were not there."
"Everything here is not in the dream."
Ding Sha smiled slightly. She was an orphan without parents. She was introverted and had few friends. She had long hair and a pretty face. She could cook delicious food.
Later, she was a pregnant woman in her third month, had a lover who had disappeared, had long black shiny hair and an angelic face, and could still cook delicious food.
Ding Sha couldn't help but wonder if that completely opposite dream was reminding her that someone was waiting and she should wake up quickly.
"Fortunately, you chose the world with me." Xiao Jun said.
Ding Sha smiled at him and closed her eyes somewhat tiredly.
Flipping through another memory that appeared in his mind, Ding Sha still had many speculations he wanted to prove.
There were more details in her memory. She remembered how she and Xiao Jun found the small village and settled down there, how they were speechlessly shy on that night, and every promise Xiao Jun had made to her.
She also remembered the complex yet determined look in Xiao Jun's eyes when he looked at her the last time he appeared.
I remembered the boy’s eyes, hot and ardent, hiding all his desperate love.
The existence of this memory undoubtedly confirms her identity.
She is Ding Sha.
There has always been only one Dingsha
She couldn't help but feel secretly delighted and puzzled.
Why did she go to another world and become a completely new identity
Why did she return to this world
Putting all these aside, can she like Xiao Jun without any burden
Ding Sha abandoned everything in that world without any psychological burden.
She has always been a loner and has nothing to be nostalgic about, so she would rather everything in this world makes her excited.
I like the sun rising early every day.
I like the tall sycamore tree at the door.
I like the particularly bright stars and moon at night.
I like the hustle and bustle of people coming and going and the atmosphere of fireworks.
Prefer her little family.
Like Xiao Jun.
The wrinkled little Ping An was remembered by his parents for the first time. Sister Tong held him in her arms and showed him to them, "He's a healthy and strong boy."
Xiao Ping An was sleeping soundly with his eyes closed. Xiao Jun took a look. The new father was as curious as a child. "Can I hold you?"
"Of course you can." Mrs. Tong carefully placed the child in his arms and taught him step by step how to hold the child.
Xiao Jun felt soft in his heart.
All the worries and anxieties disappeared at this moment, and he really had a home of his own.
"Look, does he look like you or me?" Xiao Jun handed the child to Ding Sha.
"I can't tell, but I think it looks like you." Ding Sha looked at it for a long time, and no matter how he looked at it, he thought it was a little red monkey.
"Okay, okay, I'll take the child back after I'm done. Baby needs more sleep." Mrs. Tong took the child away again.
Xiao Jun tucked the corner of the blanket for Ding Sha and said, "I asked the doctor. Generally, women can be discharged from the hospital in about a week after a caesarean section. However, your case is unusual, so you have to stay in the hospital for a month for observation."
Xiao Jun paused, "But don't be afraid, I will be with you."
Ding Sha smiled and nodded.
After Ding Sha got better and was able to sit up, Xiao Jun got consent from the doctors and nurses and went home to bring back a bucket of pig's trotter soup. However, due to Ding Sha's special condition, he did not bring any dipping water, only a bucket of soup.
But Dingsha still ate it with relish.
The pig's trotters are soft, tender, smooth and delicate, melting in your mouth. Taking a bite of the mushy kidney beans makes you feel very satisfied.
"I stewed a lot and I'll bring it to you tomorrow." Xiao Jun still picked up the bottom of her bowl out of habit.
Ding Sha used to feel uncomfortable, but now she suddenly feels a little sweet in her heart, which makes her heart flutter.
"Shasha...Shasha?" Xiao Jun raised his hand and waved in front of her eyes.
Ding Sha came back to her senses. Ever since she knew she was Ding Sha, she would always unconsciously stare at Xiao Jun intently...
"Ah? What's wrong?" Ding Sha said as if nothing had happened.
Xiao Jun frowned suspiciously, "What are you daydreaming about?"
"No… "
"Are you staring at me in a daze?" Xiao Jun suddenly had an idea.
“Ahem…” Ding Sha was startled, “I didn’t!”
Xiao Jun curled the corners of his mouth and stopped asking.
However, after Ding Sha stared at him intently again, Xiao Jun did not call her.
Ding Sha recovered quickly, and after just twenty days or so, Dr. Liu happily said that she could be discharged from the hospital.
Xiao Jun completed the discharge procedures for her and took her back to their small home.
"I haven't been back for a long time." Ding Sha sighed while standing at the door.
Her belly was still a little bulging and hadn't fully recovered.
Xiao Jun came over holding the child, while Mrs. Tong and Aunt Zhuang came over carrying a bunch of things.
"I'm finally home," said Tong's wife with mixed feelings, "I spent the New Year in the hospital... It's almost spring now."
"The situation is better now. After a while, I will give my sister-in-law and aunt a holiday." Ding Sha said with a smile.
She was hospitalized for quite a long time, almost staying out for the New Year.
Xiao Jun had already prepared everything that needed to be put away in the bedroom, and the crib was not far from his bed.
Ding Sha touched the crib and asked, "Is the crib too far away from me?"
"It's not far. I can just reach it when you cry at night. You can have a good rest." Xiao Jun was getting some necessary things like wet wipes.
Ding Sha pursed her lips and smiled.
Little Ping'an lay on his little bed, staring around with his big eyes.
He has grown up a little and is no longer a monkey's butt. Instead, he has become fair and tender. He rarely cries and looks like a little angel.
He is also very cute and everyone who has seen him can't help but sigh at the importance of genes.
Ding Sha ate his mother's pig's trotters for a week straight, and his face turned green when he saw the pig's trotters.
"No more eating, let's change another one." Ding Sha waved his hands hurriedly when he saw Xiao Jun holding a casserole.
Xiao Jun made her laugh, "It's not pig's trotters, it's brown sugar eggs."
Ding Sha heaved a sigh of relief, "Luckily it wasn't pig's trotters, I was really about to vomit..."
Xiao Jun smiled and said, "Okay, okay, I won't do it from now on."
Ding Sha then became happy.
The news was broadcast on TV all the time. When Xiao Ping'an grew a little bigger, started to whimper and spit bubbles and cry for milk, the news finally announced that a vaccine had been developed.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.
There were gradually more people on the street. Although everyone was still wearing masks and standing three meters apart, the cold street was finally filled with people.
The shop was not open for business yet, so Ding Sha would stand in the shop every day, holding little Ping'an in her arms, looking outside through the glass while singing a lullaby softly.
Xiao Ping'an was very well behaved. He always kept his eyes open and looked at everything curiously. He only cried occasionally when he was extremely hungry.
Mrs. Tong and Aunt Zhuang went home, and Ding Sha began to take care of the baby by calling for help every day.
Xiao Jun walked in holding the phone.
"Shasha, the landlord said he wants to transfer the house."
