Deserted by his friends and relatives, and having lost everything, the Lord of Mars, Lasky, fell into madness.
With the sound of mechanical gears turning, various destructive weapons entered a state of readiness for activation under the energy of its furnace core.
Feeling the threat posed by these weapons, many congressmen turned pale.
They felt a little regretful.
If I had run faster just now, I wouldn't have been involved in this matter. I really have no time to protest to Guilliman.
If he listened, he would not be the Primarch.
Now it's my bad luck.
The weapons carried by Forge General Lasky are enough to destroy them dozens of times.
If a fight really breaks out, the consequences will be disastrous.
"Calm down, do you want to be doomed?" Guilliman was indifferent to such death threats, as if the melta cannon was not aimed at him.
"You are a damn liar. You want to be a dictator and seize power on Mars. You will not succeed." Lasky yelled, "They are all deceived by you, but I am not. You are just a bastard who wants to seize power from your father."
"I bring hope and redemption," said Guilliman.
"You bring destruction and dictatorship," Laski said, brandishing his weapon. You can imagine how excited he was.
"You had a chance to survive," Guilliman said sympathetically, "but your stupidity made that impossible."
"I don't care anymore. You will die with me anyway." A cold voice came from Lasky's built-in voice generator. He knew how strong Guilliman's military strength was.
Even if we pull up the entire Mars, we will still be crushed by the other side.
But now, as long as Guilliman is killed, everything will be over.
Holy Mars would not have to be controlled by this damn dictator.
Everything will return to the way it was before.
"No, he won't die with you."
Another voice came from behind Lasky.
The Grand Master of the Assassin's Court, Fadik, who had never had a sense of presence, came out.
He was wearing a linen robe and looked very simple.
In many meetings, he was the one who remained silent.
The other High Lords have even learned to ignore him.
He won't vote anyway.
As Fadik's voice sounded.
Lasky felt that the data logic modules and computing cores inside the skull were in disarray.
The heavy steel body fell down just like that.
The body of the Casting General is so huge, like a mountain of metal flesh, that he needs the support of an anti-gravity device to move.
Lasky was horrified to discover that there was something wrong with his anti-gravity device.
The sacred machine spirit no longer responded to his commands.
Nor did he respond to his call.
The anti-gravity device failed, and the gravity of Terra pressed down on the Forge General.
The charging cannon made a creaking sound, then drooped down helplessly.
The heavy steel body let out a series of wails.
The forge core is decaying, weapon recharges are cut off.
Lasky looked at the Grand Assassin in disbelief, with surprise and anger in his eyes.
"What did you do to me?"
"The Assassin's Court will always serve her. This is a mission recorded in my genes. I cannot allow you to do something crazy here." The Assassin's Grand Master Fadik said indifferently, "You should not threaten the Imperial Regent. No matter how absurd his decision is, he represents the will of the Emperor."
"You are also a Supreme Lord. Are you going to let him seize the dictatorial power of the Empire? Moreover, the Empire and Mars are not one and the same. We are just allies. Why should we accept the rule of a dictator?"
Lasky's roar was an emotionless electronic voice that was extremely piercing.
"You serve the Omnissia," Fadik said, "We serve the Emperor, and the two are one. He has the power of the Emperor, which means he has the permission of the Omnissia. Your actions are a betrayal of both Mars and Terra. You can fight in other ways, but coercion by force is not allowed."
"This is sophistry," Lasky shouted, furious, the virus raging through his code, red spots of corrosion appearing on his steel body.
Humans have created many poisons, some of which can act on organic flesh and blood, causing them to quickly lose vitality.
Some poisons work on cold steel and logic.
No matter what, they all have the same power, which is the power to bring people to death.
"This is reality, it's happening," Fadik said. "You made the wrong decision, so let's end it."
"You will all regret this. He is just a dictator. He can't change anything." Lasky used the last of his energy to support the sound generator. His systems were shutting down one by one. "You think he brings salvation, but this is just an illusion. He brings nothing but another terrible..."
His voice deepened and became unclear.
On the mechanical body that looked like a mountain of flesh, the indicator lights turned from bright to dim and finally went out.
The mechanical tentacles overlapped, converged, and finally fell silent.
A crisis that could have killed everyone present was averted.
Everyone had an expression of having survived a disaster, except for Guilliman, whose expression did not change from beginning to end.
Everything is under control.
There's nothing to worry about.
"This is the fate of those who oppose it." Guilliman looked at the many councilors, "No mercy, you need to take this as a warning."
Many councillors fell into a depressing silence; the Primarch's dictatorship was doomed and they were powerless to resist.
They left the Senate hall dejectedly under the gaze of the soldiers.
The High Lords were held in custody, awaiting the fullness of the matter concerning Tyrion, before judgment could be pronounced on some of them.
The political storm quickly spread across Terra from the House of Representatives meeting, and an unprecedented blood transfusion began.
The changes in the House of Representatives were broadcast live.
The imperial regent made no secret of this political reform, allowing everyone to see how determined he was.
The era of the High Lords' Council came to an end.
Many families will decline and eventually disappear in this political storm.
Many people complained that their ancestors had made contributions to the empire, but the Primarch had so cruelly deprived them of their rights.
Guilliman cared little for it.
Individual interests need to give way to collective interests.
... ... ... ... ...
... ... ... ... ... ... ... .
Guilliman handed over many of the Empire's reform tasks to the Imperial Chancellor, Penny.
She has a better understanding of Terra's operating model and knows how to control it.
Of course, the resistance to this matter is not small.
Many families are not willing to give up their own interests.
On the sacred planet of Terra, not only the imperial citizens who pay taxes legally, but also the gangs and families roaming in the dark are a force that cannot be underestimated.
Especially in the area of the Lower Hive.
During the time when the High Lords' Council was in power, the power of gangs could not be underestimated even in the area closest to the Golden Throne. This was a gray area where the official forces of the Empire could not intervene.
They were lawless and even arrogant enough to challenge the authority of the empire.
The only thing Guilliman could do was to strike hard and give the enemy a severe blow.
The God Brain Project studied by Kren played a role in the reform of the hive city.
Technological progress is the most powerful weapon to eliminate those gray areas.
The development of intelligent technology is a powerful tool to promote the disappearance of the dark side of society.
Humanity cannot give up on technological development because of fear and disgust at the recurrence of intelligent events.
At least that's not what Guilliman would choose.
Regardless of whether technology is developed or not, the future destiny of mankind is dark.
If they are not strong enough, the traitors led by Abaddon will destroy the Empire and turn the galaxy into a playground for the Chaos Gods.
The Tyranids, the Orks, the Undead, and the rapidly rising Tau.
These are all threats.
Guilliman knew that time was not on humanity's side.
It is undeniable that after the launch of the Indomitable Crusade, humans temporarily gained some advantages.
But no one knows how long these advantages can last.
The Undead are now fragmented, but with the rise of humans, they will inevitably be closely connected and regard humans as new enemies.
King Sotai, who was in contact with him, had secretly given Guilliman a lot of information.
With the revival of the rulers of several top dynasties, the unification process of the Undead will be greatly accelerated.
Whether it's the Silent King, the Storm King, or the Crimson King.
These Undead kings will promote the unification of the Undead and regain control of the galaxy.
According to some scattered reports, terrifying phenomena similar to the exorcism of the dead zone have appeared in various places.
Apparently, with the opening of the Great Rift, the Necrons also began their plan to isolate the Warp.
This plan is extremely harmful to human beings, and it is easy to cause them to die of spiritual exhaustion.
The main force of the Tyranids was also approaching the Milky Way, and the previous Zerg fleets looked like small skirmishes.
The orcs are constantly waging a holy war in Armageddon.
According to reports from some astropaths with foresight, the Orc warlord Bonebreaker has received instructions from the Orc gods and is completing the transformation from an Orc warlord to an Orc emperor, committed to bringing the galaxy into an endless war of terror.
Tau has had five consecutive expansions so far.
According to the latest intelligence, they already have subspace engines and a large auxiliary army.
Although this race is weak, it has terrifying potential.
The Tau rely on artificial intelligence that humans have long abandoned, and it is difficult to guarantee that they will not rise as quickly as humans in the future.
It didn't take long for humans to enter the starry sky and establish the first interstellar empire.
If the T'au's artificial intelligence develops further, it is very likely to rise as fast as humans did in the past and quickly become the masters of the stars.
Regardless of whether the opponent's artificial intelligence rebels or not, the human empire will decline because of the opponent's rise.
There are so many lice in the human body now that it is impossible to catch them all.
The problem of the God Brain technology, which steps on the bottom line of the abomination intelligence, is actually the smallest problem for Guilliman.
The Divine Brain Project uses the minds of loyalists as raw materials and performs various enhancements on these minds.
Give it extraordinary computing power.
To put it bluntly, the essence of the divine brain is similar to fearlessness.
Most of the bodies of the loyalists were beyond repair.
The Tech-Priests pulled out their remains and sent them into the Dreadnoughts to continue fighting for the Empire.
The God's Brain is to pull out the brains of these loyalists, train them, and then continue to serve the empire.
They have their own thinking ability, their own emotions, and their own memories.
It's just that I continue to serve the empire in an alternative way.
This is the Divine Brain Project.
In order to enhance resistance to the contamination of the subspace, all divine brains will be mind-stamped.
Engraved with the idea of protecting humanity and hating chaos.
This method of using mechanical means to leave a mental imprint in the brain can avoid the possibility of rebellion by the divine brain to the greatest extent.
Of course, even the ideological stamp cannot prevent the corruption and rebellion of the divine brain.
There are also some alternative remedies available.
The Mechanicus possesses mature technology that can prevent the Iron Man rebellion from happening again in the Divine Brain.
That is to take the other person's mind offline, put it in a dream of eternal enjoyment, and then implant it into another's consciousness for manipulation.
This practice is often used against Skitarii.
Those sages would often disconnect the other party's thinking and main consciousness, and then implant their own consciousness to control the other party's body.
A more radical approach is to erase the other person's original consciousness, format it, and then implant new memories and programming.
The God Brains are built using super soldier technology and the Heart of Guilliman template, which also gives the Empire greater control capabilities.
In the past, the Divine Brain Project would have caused a huge uproar.
There will be countless voices of opposition.
The person who proposed this plan will probably be killed by the Inquisition as soon as possible.
However, now the plan was driven by Guilliman.
Casting General Lasky died.
Mars unconditionally supported the Imperial Regent, the High Lords Council was abolished, and the Imperial Army was controlled by the Primarch.
Those who opposed had no power to shake Guilliman's decision.
With Guilliman's authorization, Kren's God Brain Project was quickly promoted.
A huge and magnificent divine brain array data center was built in each hive city.
Used to process large-scale population data and allocate work and resources.
Thereby ensuring the interests of every citizen of the empire to the greatest extent possible.
Of course, we will also monitor the movements of gang members and cult members to ensure that these guys are killed as soon as they show up, so that they don't become a big problem.
Suppress the frequent rebellions in the empire to a very small scale.
At the same time, a large number of machines and priests were deployed from Mars to join in the reconstruction of Terra.
With the application of advanced technology and the full help of Mars, the reconstruction speed was much faster.
Some previously nonexistent gardens and parks also appeared in the planning maps of the hive cities.
This is an incredible thing.
Rulers of all generations never built these things in public areas.
In their view, workers should have a good rest after work and then continue to work.
Beyond that, any entertainment is unnecessary.
Being greedy for enjoyment is a sign of lack of loyalty.
Loyal workers should get the lowest salary, do the most work, not take any rest or enjoy themselves, and devote themselves wholeheartedly to the emperor.
Guilliman naturally couldn't let this continue.
The empire is built so badly, isn't that just giving Chaos heads
At that time, the stronger the army, the stronger the enemy will also be.
No matter how hard they try, they are just fighting against humans themselves.
Then there's no fun.
In addition to reducing the workload, Guilliman required all factories to treat their waste emissions and protect the living environment.
At the same time, provide residential areas with sufficient green space and increase entertainment facilities.
Quality testing of air, drinking water and food has also been put on the agenda.
Many factories do not want to comply with such regulations because the cost is too high.
They even gathered together to protest.
They claim that treating workers too well will only erode their loyalty and make them lazy.
Only by taking away the workers' food, houses, and property and reducing their wages can the workers be motivated to work.
Unfortunately, Guilliman's attitude was extremely tough.
All the assets of the protesting factory owners and their families were confiscated, leaving them to become what they called good workers with low wages and poor treatment.
In order to ensure the execution of his reform orders, Guilliman required each law enforcement officer to be accompanied by a troop.
Any factory or family that dares to violate the new law will be punished mercilessly.
Some families tried to resist with force.
What awaits them is even tougher repression.
The Penal Camp's spaceship was packed, transporting those who were convicted day and night.
The ultimate value of these idiots is to be cannon fodder.
An unprecedented flood of change is sweeping across every class.
People can feel that their lives have undergone tremendous changes.
Many things that have lasted for thousands of years were destroyed in just a few days and then rebuilt.
Everyone is required to register, and their fingerprints and facial films will become their unique identity information and be stored in the data center.
It contains information such as their age, job, and salary.
Everything will be managed intelligently.
Children under the age of 18 are required to go to school.
This is a mandatory regulation.
Anyone who prevents a child from going to school or covers up for a child not going to school will be charged with treason against the Empire.
In addition to the most basic common sense courses and scientific knowledge learning.
There are also religious beliefs classes.
Guilliman personally oversees the relevant courses to ensure that no Chaos heresy creeps in.
In addition to studying some basic doctrines of the state religion, this course also studies the theory of human supremacy.
Those children will be indoctrinated from the beginning that the human race is supreme and destined to rule the galaxy.
A large number of hereditary officials were purged from office.
New officials are to be investigated to see if their parents have been corrupted by Chaos or have betrayed the Empire.
The higher the rank, the stricter the family background review.
To reach the level of planetary governor, the family must have no record of betraying the Empire or being involved in Chaos for five hundred years.
If so, I'm just sorry.
You can only engage in other industries, not politics-related industries.
Everything is changing and reshaping.
A glimmer of hope emerged again in Quinbis' despair. The changes brought about by the Imperial Regent were too great.
It can be described as earth-shaking.
In the past, many people had never seen any plants in their entire lives.
Now, there are parks and flower gardens where they live.
When those green tender leaves appeared in front of people, many people cheered.
"Long live the Primarch."
"The glory of the Imperial Regent will last forever."
“He is the divine savior.”
These sounds could always be heard when Kunbis approached the crowd.
Some pastors also stood among those people.
From time to time they would publicize and emphasize that the Primarch was sent by the Emperor.
After hearing the pastor's words, those people would add words of praise such as the Emperor's immortality.
Kunbis stood in the crowd and also shouted excitedly.
He apologized for his past blasphemy.
The Primarch is the one who truly thinks for them.
Never just talk about the empty talk dedicated to the emperor.
Instead, they were given bread and meat so that they could live a decent life.
For the first time, Kunbis felt that life could be so beautiful.
After working for eight hours, I can hang out with my friends instead of staying in the factory all day.
In the past, those damn Terra bureaucrats only asked them to dedicate themselves and sacrifice, and never cared whether they had enough to fill their stomachs.
Fortunately, the suffering is over.
Just as the Primarch promised, all good things will come.
Terra climbed out of the abyss of fear and despair and ran quickly towards the light.
Everyone will have a happy future.
They will enjoy a wonderful life under the glory of the emperor.
Quinbis made his way past the gathering crowd.
Kunbis walked briskly towards his factory.
He greets every friend sincerely.
Until he met two legal department officers in law enforcement uniforms.
He then stopped smiling.
One of the legal department personnel was the man who was previously in charge of supervising the labor team and who beat the little girl.
The other person was smoking a cigarette and standing lazily on the street.
Several men and women who were passing by were stopped by the two men and squatted on the side of the road with their hands on their heads to accept their inspection.
A trace of fear emerged in Kunbis' heart, and he walked away involuntarily.
The storm of reform is still not strong enough to reach every corner.
But he also knew that this was the limit of the imperial regent.
The other party is responsible for the entire empire, including military, economy, politics, faith, technology, etc., and every aspect needs the Primarch to be responsible.
The Imperial Regent's eyes are fixed on all of humanity, which means he is destined to be unable to pay attention to every individual.
Evil and darkness lurked in the cracks that he never noticed.
"Come here." The man gave a cruel smile when he saw Kunbis trying to go around him.
His companion beside him also smiled.
Kunbis looked around and saw no one there, then he confirmed that the other party was calling him.
I could only walk past.
He was somewhat resistant and afraid of these guys.
To be honest, he was full of hatred for this man.
The little girl in the labor team has become deaf in one ear.
And all this is thanks to this man.
It is hard to imagine that such a vicious man could escape the purge.
"Why are you dilly-dallying?" The man kicked Kunbis and said impatiently.
"What do you want from me?" Kunbis tried to keep his tone as humble as possible to avoid attracting greater hostility from the other party.
To the imperial regent, such a man was nothing more than a bug that could be easily crushed to death.
But for Kunbis, this man was enough to ruin his life.
This is true even if the other party is just a small legal department staff member.
Officials are scary, but clerks are even scarier.
"Nothing. I just found you suspicious. Are you a gang member trying to overthrow the empire? The empire is cracking down on gang members and evil forces now." The man said seriously while smoking a cigarette and flicked the ash in his face.
"My lord, I am a law-abiding citizen of the empire." Kunbis suppressed the anger in his heart and spoke word by word.
"You say you're law-abiding, but I don't believe you. You don't look like a good person at first glance. A few days ago, we received information that gang members were roaming around and were hiding over there. We need to further verify your identity before we can make a judgment."
The man flicked the ash off his cigarette again. "If you don't want to waste time, you can pay a deposit to guarantee that you are not a gang member. Once it is confirmed, it will be returned to you."
Hearing this, Kunbis suddenly understood.
Tracking down gang members is fake, secretly making money is real.
After paying the deposit, do you still expect it to be returned
That would really be a foolish dream.
"You are blatantly violating the laws of the empire," said Quinbis angrily. "I will not give you a penny."
"Don't talk nonsense." The man's face changed and he hit Kunbis on the head with a stick, making him squat on the ground and bleed profusely.
"I represent the sacred laws of the Empire. What I say is what it is. Do you really want to die?"
After hitting him with a stick, the man grabbed Kunbis' collar and threatened him with a ferocious look, "Don't think you can turn the world upside down just because the imperial regent has issued a few laws. I am still wearing this leather, so you have to kneel down obediently, do you understand?"
After saying that, the man raised his head and looked at his companion, "This guy is a troublemaker. He looks like a stubborn gang member."
My companion smiled and said, "Don't go too far. The higher-ups are checking very closely now."
"Don't worry, you know your limits. If things really don't work out, just tell others that he's a gang member. Those stupid idiots will probably say that I fought well and dealt a blow to the criminals."
Kunbis was pinned to the ground and punched and kicked, with the opponent provoking him while beating him.
"You can fight back, you piece of shit."
"Why don't you fight back, you wimp."
"Do you really think that the Imperial Regent can watch over Terra forever? You dare to refute my words here. You really don't know how to live or die."
Quinbis was so angry that he almost went mad, his bloodshot eyeballs looked like they were about to burst out of their sockets.
But he just gritted his teeth and chose not to fight back.
If he fought back, it would be a deliberate attack on the imperial law enforcement officers. At that time, the other party would just kill him without anyone asking any questions.
The other party may have stopped because he was tired.
he-tui.
A mouthful of thick phlegm was spat on Kunbis' body.
"Trash." The man wanted to humiliate Kunbis further.
Another man was walking towards them from a distance, his steps were hurried and he looked a little uneasy.
The two law enforcement officers stopped humiliating Quinbis and shouted at the man to come over for inspection.
But who would have thought that halfway through the journey, the other party would directly pull out a pulse pistol and start shooting at the two people from the law enforcement department.
One guy got shot in the thigh and screamed in pain.
The man who beat Kunbis was so scared that he ran away with his head in his hands, trying to escape behind a barrier that could block himself.
"Go to hell, you dogs." The gangster kept pulling the trigger, and those who were crouching on the ground were also targeted by him.
Several people died in a short while, and the fallen law enforcement officer was also killed by the ruthless gangster.
Seeing the other party pointing the gun at him, Kunbis didn't care about his bleeding head and just rushed forward.
He used the strength gained from long-term labor to pin down his opponent.
He held the other person's throat tightly with both hands and did not dare to let go until he died.
At this time, the guy who escaped the fastest turned back.
He yelled and shot the gangster several times, then stood by with a smug look on his face.
The Empire's support arrived quickly, and soon a team of soldiers arrived on a hovercraft.
A high-ranking law enforcement officer also came from other places.
However, he was wearing the uniform of Ultramar, not the uniform of Terra.
"I felt something was wrong when I saw this guy pulling out a gun, so I immediately took out my gun and shot at him. We had a life-and-death struggle before I succeeded in killing him. Unfortunately, this guy was too fierce, and many people died." When the man saw the senior law enforcement officer, he approached him with a flattering look on his face, wishing he could take all the credit for himself.
"No, he's a coward. He ran away, and I strangled the gang member to death. Only after he was dead did he dare to come back and shoot again."
Kunbis had been furious for a long time. They were so despicable and shameless. They only dared to bully the good and turned around and deserted when they saw those vicious people.
Now you dare to grab the credit.
=
Hearing this, the man jumped up like a cat whose tail was stepped on.
"Don't talk nonsense. Do you know your status? You have no right to talk here. How can you dream of killing a gang member? How can you be so shameless to say such a thing?"
As he spoke, he walked over and pushed Kunbis.
"I think you are a potential gang member who is deliberately disrupting law enforcement. Don't talk nonsense here, or I will arrest you and send you back to jail in a minute."
When they reached the edge, the man whispered, "Don't be so frivolous. These are all my people. If you dare to embarrass me, I will arrest you as a gang member tomorrow. If you execute me, people will cheer. Believe it or not."
After making the threat, he pushed Kunbis to the side of the road and said loudly.
"Don't talk nonsense. You can't take responsibility for this matter."
"Are you telling the truth?" the senior law enforcement officer walked over and said.
"No, it's not." Seeing the man next to him wiping his neck, Kunbis had to change his words.
"Be careful next time and don't talk nonsense." The senior law enforcement officer said, "My name is Zidalov, and I'm a second-level law enforcement officer of the Empire. If you have any clues about gang members, you can come to me."
Zidarov handed a card to Kumbis and turned away.
The gang members and another law enforcement officer were taken away, along with the bodies of several deceased people.
The law enforcement officer who beat Kunbis was also taken away.
"You have performed very well. I will report this to the higher-ups. These gang members have been running around quite a lot recently and the higher-ups are cracking down on them. I hope you can keep up the good work," said Qilodav.
"I will work harder. For the glory of the emperor, I must eradicate these lawless elements that undermine social order and protect the happy and healthy lives of the people of the empire." The man said righteously.
Kunbis covered his head and clenched his fists, watching them leave.
... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... .
... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...
Lasky was poisoned.
Several sages belonging to his school finally chose to give up armed confrontation.
They knew they had no power to resist the offensive of the Imperial Regent.
Armed confrontation will only bring destruction to themselves.
The radicals completely took control of Mars, and some secret knowledge was revealed.
The wave of reform is also sweeping across the red planet.
Guilliman provided some new technologies to improve the air quality on Mars and maintain the ecology.
Thanks to the efficiency of the Mechanical Priest, the first glimmer of green life soon appeared on Mars.
With Terra and Mars on track, Guilliman began to push forward his own plans.
He handed over most of Terra's political affairs to the Imperial Chancellor - Penny.
He himself went to Mount Olympus on Mars.
In order to keep the secret, Guilliman only brought Sicarius, Cawl, and thirty Honor Guards into a dusty tunnel.
The conversation between Guilliman and the Emperor was not long, but the amount of information contained in it was enormous.
The Emperor informed Guilliman of the location of the crypt and the answers he sought.
They walked from the roaring steel city into the depths of a dark archway that seemed to have been abandoned for a thousand years.
This was a dead end, with cold rocks blocking their way.
"Is there really what we want here?" Kohl's electronic voice revealed a hint of solemnity.
The detection scanning device detected that there was nothing ahead.
"Do not over-trust your own perceptions." Guilliman said, looking at the rock in front of him.
Guilliman made contact with his fist, instigating a gash across his broad palm, as the Emperor remembered.
The blood flowed out and Guilliman smeared it on the wall.
The Primarch's powerful recovery ability forced him to cut himself several times before he could gather enough blood.
Under the gaze of everyone, cracks appeared on the originally rough rock wall, and countless hair-thin cracks spread out and collapsed.
The rocks turned into black light, rolling and entwining as if they had life.
Guilliman saw this scene, smiled, and said in a deep voice, "What a secret place."
Then he stepped in and disappeared into the black light.
Kaul and others followed closely behind.
Beyond the light, there is still a dark tunnel, but this tunnel seems to no longer exist simply in the real universe, but is between fantasy and reality.
The roads are intricate and intertwined, completely defying human-understood geometry.
This is not the realm of humans, nor is it the realm of real cosmic laws.
According to the Emperor's memory, Guilliman traveled through these roads, passing one intersection after another.
"Where the hell is this place?" Kaul stared at his data display.
He tried to scan and map the route of travel in this place.
But when the finished product appeared, he was greatly surprised.
There are many branching routes in the grainy light and shadow images that shouldn't exist.
What’s even more bizarre is that these branch routes rotate and twist 360 degrees, looking chaotic and endless.
It's changing, twisting, evolving every moment.
Even in three dimensions, the complexity of the code is beyond human imagination.
But if expressed in four dimensions, it is perfect.
“Don’t record meaningless things.” Guilliman said, “This place is based on reality and illusion. There are billions of changes every minute and every second. It is impossible to record the route through mechanical devices.”
"Does this tunnel really have an end?" Sicarius asked in astonishment.
"Of course there is, it just seems that there isn't." Guilliman answered Sicarius' question as he walked. "This is a closed loop of time and space, which is also one of the defense measures of the underground palace. In other words, this place is isolated from the real universe. Only those who find the right path can use that weak connection to return to the real universe, otherwise they will be trapped here forever."
"A closed loop of time and space. It's hard to imagine that people in the past had mastered such advanced technology." Kaul exclaimed.
"This is my father's work," said Guilliman.
The underground palace is where the emperor sealed the Void Dragon.
It is hard to imagine how much knowledge he had mastered at that time to be able to build such a prison that even the former Star Gods could not escape and could only be imprisoned here.
“It is impossible to imagine the depth of the wisdom of the Omnissiah,” Kaur said.
Guilliman led the group for an unknown amount of time before they finally arrived at a rock shelf high above a cave that was shining with dazzling silver light.
The cave is so huge, it feels like you have arrived at the hollowed-out core of Mars.
The vastness of this place was the largest underground space that Sicarius and Kaur could imagine.
The cave extended far above the head and under the feet. Huge stone pillars supported the roof of the cave, and the walls of the cave on both sides were completely invisible.
All you can see is the faint flickering silver light in the distance.
"Be careful, this is where the Void Dragon is imprisoned." Guilliman warned.
They walked along the ledge and found an inconspicuous and very old wooden lectern.
There was also a heavy book with faded gilt on it.
The leather cover was tattered and there was a simple quill and inkwell.
This scene is incredible.
Are there any of these things here
Caul looked around, the servoskull connected to his nerves scanning everything around him.
"This place is really weird." Kaul pointed to a stone pillar on a wall that was shining with silver light. "These structures and the light don't feel right. It seems to be distorted."
The words of the Great Sage seemed to reveal some latent characteristics of this cave.
The silver lights began to move, forming strange and twisted geometric structures.
The honorable veterans immediately gathered around Guilliman in a defensive stance, weapons raised.
They all showed painful expressions.
Under everyone's gaze, the geometric structures twisted wildly.
Concepts like distance and space are all changing.
The cave seemed to expand and pulsate in every direction, yet also to be constantly contracting and squeezing.
These things are simply not the movements that rocks can perform.
Kaur suddenly realized that they were wrong.
This is not a tunnel or a cave at all.
From the walls to the floor to the air, to every atom and molecule, all are part of one grand consciousness.
It is the god of reality.
Before humans were born and formed, it had already been wandering in the universe, devouring the hearts of countless stars. It was hailed as the vampire of the stars and regarded as a god by countless civilizations.
Humans gave it a name to refer to this terrifying existence, the Void Dragon.
Void Dragon is not its real name. For an almighty, all-knowing god, the name is not important.
Kohl could feel the chaos in his data system and logical operation modules.
No living being can see its essence.
It exists in every crack of time.
It exists in every coordinate in space.
It is one, and it is also ten thousand.
It is the beginning and the end.
The mere fact that it exists is enough to kill countless lives with fragile minds.
Just to sense its existence requires an extremely heavy price to pay.
In the face of this infinite impossibility, the existence of all things is meaningless.
People will be assimilated involuntarily and eventually fall apart.
Sanity is collapsing, and so is operational logic.
Even the great sage who rules the world finds it difficult to bear the concept of its existence.
Kaul wanted to scream. Facing an unimaginable existence, the only thing a mortal could do was scream.
At this moment, a hand was placed on his metal shoulder.
"Give up the calculation, Kaul, and delete all the information."
The voice was full of authority, and Kaur couldn't help but do as he was told.
The photosensitive device was turned off and all cached data was urgently deleted.
The oppressive feeling dissipated and he survived.
Cawl followed his hand and saw the Primarch's face.
He nearly killed himself.
Any attempt to look directly at and calculate the other party's existence is foolish.
It will only lead to your own collapse.
"You are too reckless. Contact with it will only kill you."
Came a female voice.
Guilliman looked in the direction of the voice and saw a figure walking out of the darkness.
