Chapter 41: Demon Prince 3/4

Deep in the dungeons of the Inquisition Fortress are forbidden objects that cannot enter the empire.

The Inquisitor will collect those forbidden objects from various planets, store them in the fortress, and guard them.

Only the most devout priests to the Emperor can perform this duty.

Led by Vincent Horn, Guilliman entered the depths of the Inquisitorial Fortress.

The environment here was so cold that it made people shiver. Strange whispers echoed in the air. The pure malice was so real that it made people's skin sting.

The walls, ceiling and marble floor of the corridor are covered with sacred prayers.

Shrines to the Emperor were placed everywhere, with incense lamps burning on either side of a winged silver skull.

The exiled priests held incense in their hands and chanted poems praising the Emperor in the dark dungeon.

Out of faith in the Emperor and love for the human race, these priests, who originally belonged to the state religion, resolutely chose to sacrifice themselves to learn the forbidden dark chaos knowledge, in order to find ways to protect the human soul, become the guardians of forbidden things, and keep these unspeakable threats out of human society.

In addition to the exiled priests, there is a saint holding a scepter and wearing a golden mask stationed at regular intervals.

They are devout followers of the Emperor who can use the Emperor's power to fight against those demons while protecting themselves from being harmed.

Their scepters can release force field attacks, but can also bless their beliefs and prevent them from being corrupted.

Guilliman, led by Vincent Horn, went deep into the dungeon.

"My lord, are we really going to do this?" Vincent Horn was a little nervous. In addition to respect, there was also a hint of fear in his eyes when he looked at the Primarch.

The other party's plan is crazy. No normal person would think of using demons to collect subspace intelligence.

The Primarch in front of him not only had this idea, but also put this crazy plan into action with extremely strong execution power.

During the conversation in the hall, the Lord of Ultramar easily convinced Vincent Horn to help him carry out that crazy plan.

"Those crazy creatures are so despicable and shameless. If we use any conventional means to do this, it will only encourage their arrogance and make them more unscrupulous. Demons have been harming humans. Every successful invasion will bring unimaginable casualties. The only thing humans can do is to use the Grey Knights and the Inquisition to drive them away."

"Those demons are unscrupulous and are seducing mortals. If they succeed, they will harvest a lot of flesh and souls. If they fail, they won't suffer much loss. This situation must be improved, otherwise humans will never be able to break free from the curse of the warp."

"Those demons are just as afraid of death. That's why the demons are afraid of my father, because my father will not expel them, but will actually kill them."

"This is a universe with a lower limit, Vincent Horn. Only guardians who are shameless and despicable enough can protect their own race. We must tell the demons that if they hurt humans, it is no longer as simple as being expelled back to the subspace. Humans will retaliate, crush their twisted nature, and put an end to them completely."

... ... ... ... ... ... .

Vincent Horn was well aware of the madness and horror of this plan.

Once exposed to the public, even the Primarchs would be questioned.

The other party needs a layer of insurance to preserve their manpower and appease the people of the empire.

He is the insurance.

Vincent Horn did not refuse such a blatant plan that could betray him at any time.

He had no right to be remembered, and the worst outcome would be even more tragic.

Traitor to the Empire

Enemy of humanity

Vincent Horn said it didn't matter.

But once this plan succeeds, the benefits it will bring to mankind will be unimaginable.

Humanity will march into the subspace and form a new confrontation with demons.

... ... ... ... ... ... ..

The footsteps of the two people echoed in the deep dungeon corridor.

Servo skulls with candles on their heads floated around them, providing lighting.

These candles are not ordinary things, but are made from fat extracted from the corpses of devout believers.

The light from these candles can help the user dispel seals and illusions caused by demons, weakening the influence of those forbidden objects on the keeper.

Demons and those sealed objects always like to create some illusions and whispers to confuse those who are weak-willed.

These candles can effectively prevent these things.

With the help of the light provided by the candles, Guilliman looked around the dungeons of the Inquisition with great interest.

There are small coffins placed in the niches on the wall.

Those coffins were made of blessed adamantium and pure gold, with dense and complex suppressive runes engraved on the surface.

These runes are different, determined by the forbidden objects inside.

Going further inside, there are giant bookshelves filled with books recording ominous things, as well as books obtained from Chaos Cultists.

Some of these books were written in Gothic and some in alien languages.

The origins of these books are very complex.

Some were even written by ignorant people.

Until the moment of judgment came, these people had no idea what terrible things they had done.

They were unaware that they had become tools of the gods, secretly believing that it was their own burst of inspiration that produced these masterpieces.

The fate of these people was also very sad. They were executed without mercy.

Many more books come from the distant past, and their origins are unknown.

The parchment wrapped in flesh and blood was stained with unclean blood.

The corruption contained in these books is extremely terrible, and the words within them describe unspeakable and incomprehensible beings and runes.

Any mortal who comes into contact with these books will immediately succumb to irresistible corruption.

Following Vincenthorn's footsteps, Guilliman walked past the bookshelves and into the deepest part of the dungeon.

Tied up here is a transformed demon host. He has grown horns and a tail, and his fur has almost fallen off. He looks bald and terribly ugly.

The powerful force of the warp allows the demon host to float in the air.

Blessed chains and runes bound the demonic host, preventing it from breaking free and escaping.

Sensing the arrival of Guilliman and Vincent Horn, the demon host opened its eyes, and the yellow eyes revealed pure malice.

"Vinsenhorn, you shameless liar, I thought you were already dead." The demon host looked at the white-haired Vinsenhorn, his tone grim, full of malice and anger. "I have to say, you are the best liar I have ever seen. You are better at deceiving than demons. I have served you and saved you from danger more than once. All I asked was for you to follow the contract and free me, but what did you do? You played with me and imprisoned me. You used me countless times."

"One day, I will escape. Then, I will hunt your soul, Vincent Horn, and you will be enslaved forever."

The demon's hatred for Vincent Horn was so great.

Even though Guilliman was standing right next to him, the demon simply ignored him.

When Guilliman heard this, he immediately imagined a bloody Mary Sue drama in his mind.

The poor little devil was repeatedly toyed with by the ruthless judge, who finally imprisoned him mercilessly in prison.

"Inquisitor, you have imprisoned that demon for three years."

“Has he been purified??”

"No, he said he would come back as a king and take revenge on you."

... ... ... ... ... ..

"Cherubel, your words are nothing but lies." Vincent Horn did not care about the anger of the demon host. His eyes were calm and cold.

"Hehe, Vincent Horn, you know there's no way to imprison me here forever. I'll escape one day."

The demon named Cherubel threatened with the help of a demon host.

After he finished speaking, he noticed that there was another person standing next to Vincent Horn.

Seeing the other person's face, Cherubel subconsciously took a few steps back.

"Impossible, how can a curser have a biological child???"

Cherubel's tone was filled with fear and he shouted.
