"Betrayal, isn't that what you demons are good at?" said Guilliman.
"Don't you dare try to fool and control me like this, son of the cursed one."
Cherubel screamed.
Guilliman showed no mercy however, as he punched the opponent again, causing him to hit the wall and let out a sharp scream.
Then, he cut off one of Cherubel's arms with one sword.
The power of the curser was hurting Cherubel's demonic nature, like a burning scar, tormenting him all the time.
When Guilliman was about to inflict more scars on his body.
Cherubel surrendered, screaming in fear, "My Master."
As Guilliman watched, Cherubel spoke the true name of a Daemon who might know the current state of the Warp.
And provides a spell to imprison the opponent.
In exchange for Guilliman's forgiveness.
Over the long years, as a demon prince, Cherubel was always able to obtain some useful information.
The real name of a demon was not something unimaginable to him.
"You are quite sensible." Guilliman retracted the Emperor's Sword and turned to Vincent Horn. "Can you summon the demon he mentioned? Inquisitor?"
"It's not difficult to have a complete true name and ritual," said Vinsenhorn.
For a demon inquisitor, knowledge about demons is a subject that must be learned.
With the help of Vincent Horn, demons that also did not belong to the Chaos God were summoned.
Accompanied by a cold breath and a sickening smell of sulfur.
A demon with a hideous face, two horns on its head, covered with black feathers and a pair of goat hooves was summoned.
Before the demon could speak, Vincent Horn used a ritual to seal it inside the demon host.
"Mortal, you have angered me." screamed the summoned demon.
"You talk too much." Guilliman grabbed the other's head and smashed it to the ground.
The demon screamed.
As he screamed, terrible fluctuations appeared in the warp, attempting to wipe out everyone in the dungeon.
But Guilliman did not let him succeed.
The Primarch's power was so terrifying that it was enough to tear his Titans apart.
The demon was overwhelmed by Guilliman's dominance and the power of the Emperor, and used the Emperor's sword to carve words of humiliation on his body.
Faced with his own invincibility and the power to end his own life, the Daemon succumbed.
"Ask, son of the cursed, I can answer your five questions, and I will tell you everything I know."
The summoned demon made a shrill sound.
He spoke in a superimposed voice, with painful black tears on his face.
Being enslaved by humans and the power of the Emperor caused him double pain.
"Tell me, where are my traitorous brothers?" Guilliman demanded.
"Lorgar, Perturabo, and Fulgrim are in the Eye of Terror," the demon said. "Mortarion is in the Plague Lord's domain, and Angron fights for the Lord of War and Blood in the Eternal Field."
"Where is Magnus?" Guilliman asked perceptively of the most sinister of the traitorous Primarchs.
"He left the Eye of Terror and no one knows his whereabouts. It is said that he will take action against his brother, that is you, the son of the Curse. You are the only son of the Curse still active." The demon gasped, the great pain made him crazy and twitching.
Guilliman fell silent.
Magnus arrives before Mortarion makes his move
What will he do, throw himself into the vortex like in the original plot line
"How should I control it?" Guilliman looked at the bound Cherubel and asked in a serious tone.
"Write the words of the cursed upon his heart, and he will bow down at your feet and serve you."
"No." The demon made a shrill sound.
"Is what he said true?" Guilliman asked in his heart.
Truthfully, your father's prayers will likely kill the demon, and only your will can save him from death. If he does not wish eternal damnation, he will have no choice but to surrender at your feet.
After getting the answer from the auxiliary elf, Guilliman asked Vincent Horn again, and after confirming that there was no problem, he started to work.
He broke open the demon's chest and carved the state religion's poem praising the Emperor into the spot where his heart would be.
"I need more information, demon. Don't let me down, or you will be forever destroyed."
With that, Guilliman released it back into the Warp.
"Seal him up and send him to the Macragge's Glory. I need to get more information about the Warp from him. Vincent Horn, you are responsible for guarding him. If necessary, kill him."
Guilliman looked at Vincenthorn and made Cherubel's arrangements for him.
... ... ... ... ... ... ..
Guilliman stayed on the planet Tarassa for two weeks, then left with Vincenhorn and the golden coffin containing Cherubel, preparing to head to the Konor system.
Before leaving, he announced that Covenant was the Grand Inquisitor, responsible for reviewing the plans of those Inquisitors and had the right to ask those Inquisitors to explain their actions, otherwise Covenant would be qualified to suspend all their duties.
The Covenant is directly responsible to him and reports all information regularly for the Primarch to review.
Guilliman knew that the Inquisitors had made many contributions over the long ten thousand years and that they had thwarted many conspiracies.
But as time went by, the powerful Inquisitor began to degenerate.
They used various means to seize huge amounts of wealth, carried out various heretical acts in secret, and even deliberately cultivated heretics and then eliminated them in order to gain their own honor and greater power.
A demon inquisitor like Vincent Horn, who maintains his integrity, has become an outlier.
After rectifying the Inquisitor's chaotic regulatory system and incorporating it into his own reform plan, Guilliman left.
The drawbacks of the Inquisitor system have accumulated over a long period of time and cannot be cleared up in a short period of time, nor can they be drastically changed all at once to avoid excessive blood loss for the empire.
It needs to be done step by step, and revised in line with the new system and new ideas.
Standing on the deck of the Macragge's Glory.
Guilliman pondered his next move.
Mortarion and Magnus will attack him, and he must prepare corresponding countermeasures.
Magnus is good at psychic powers, which is his only advantage.
There is no need to talk about his strategies and plots. They are so unfathomable because of the information asymmetry between the subspace and the real universe.
To put it bluntly, this guy is a little smart, but not much.
Magnus' threat is the asymmetry between his psychic powers and the information in the Warp.
Just like in the original plot, they would attack them unexpectedly as soon as he came out of the subspace and throw them into the vortex.
Who can bear such a thing
Guilliman didn't know when this guy would launch the attack, otherwise he could make some plans.
As for Mortarion, it’s okay.
Apart from spreading the plague, this guy can't think of any other tricks.
The plague cannot strike suddenly, which gives Guilliman time to respond.
The only trouble is Magnus.
"There is a serious lack of information." Guilliman sighed. Humanity has always been in a weak position against the Warp.
And the biggest problem in fighting against the subspace is the fear of being corrupted.
The most disgusting thing about the subspace is this.
If you don't fight, you will suffer.
If you fight, you will suffer.
The corruption alone is very difficult to solve.
"Revisiting the Webway Project?" Guilliman murmured in his heart.
The emperor has tried almost all the methods he could.
Establishing a community of consciousness for all mankind? Isn’t that what the Emperor is doing now
Establish a new religion to fight against it? Isn't that what the state religion is
The only thing left was that the plan to build a webway to isolate humans from the subspace was not fully implemented.
Guilliman thought for a moment, then rejected it.
The Chaos Evil God would not let him do that. As long as he showed his desire to build the Internet Way, he would immediately join forces with him.
If I lose, will I have to sit on the golden throne? If I don't sit on it, the second Eye of Terror will explode, and then the whole world will belong to the devil.
Learn the Protoss of StarCraft and establish the so-called Kara connection.
Forget it. If one person is corrupted, everyone will be cheated.
The Kara connection was not secure either. It was invaded later on, and the entire Protoss race was almost controlled.
If humans do this, they will die even more miserably.
Guilliman thought about it, but couldn't think of any good way to fight the corruption of the Warp.
Then Fikris came over.
"Sir, the latest news is that the Graus family of the Natal system has issued a declaration, declaring that your reforms to the imperial system are invalid, and they will only follow the system left by the Holy Emperor."
