Win Your Heart

Chapter 377

Shen Qingwan and the guards waited outside the door for a while, watching the movements in the house, preparing to think before making any plans.

She was worried that if she entered rashly, the man inside might become desperate and take Lianyun as a hostage, which would put Lianyun's life in jeopardy, so she couldn't go in directly.

The man in the room saw that the person outside had not returned yet, and he became impatient. He began to rub his hands anxiously, pacing back and forth in the room, muttering to himself: "Why hasn't he come back yet? Could something have happened? If there is any mistake, it will be difficult to explain to the noble man.

Lianyun also returned to normal, huddled in the corner, looking at his uneasy expression, but she didn't have the slightest worry in her heart, because she knew that the queen must be outside trying to find a way to save her.

The man in the room suddenly stopped walking, stroked his chin and looked at Lianyun, with a threatening look in his eyes, and deliberately lowered his voice, "Behave yourself! I'll go out and see, if you dare to do anything, don't blame me for being rude."

"I'm tied up like this, how can I use any tricks?" Lian Yun deliberately put on a sad look, sighed, and then looked down at the strong ropes on her body. She knew that Shen Qingwan was outside, and she felt at ease, but in order to stabilize this man, she still had to pretend to be pitiful.

The man nodded, thinking that what Lianyun said made sense. After looking Lianyun up and down, he quickly opened the door and went out to investigate.

"Catch him!" Shen Qingwan gave the order as soon as she saw the man walk out of the house.

"Yes!" The guards responded and rushed forward. Before the man could come to his senses, he was subdued to the ground.

"Who are you! Let me go, quickly!" The man was pressed to the ground, cursing non-stop.

Shen Qingwan ignored the man, quickly walked past him, and then strode towards the small house.

She had a wry smile on her face, feeling lucky that there were only two of them.

"Lianyun!" An anxious voice came out after pushing open the broken door of the small house.

"Empress?" Lianyun's voice came from the corner. When he saw her come in, he struggled to move towards her.

"Don't move, I'll untie you." She raised her hand to signal Lianyun, walked over and squatted beside her, untying the knots that bound her body.

Seeing the blood marks on Lianyun's wrist, Shen Qingwan frowned, with both heartache and anger in her eyes.

She didn't expect that these criminals would dare to touch the people around her. She couldn't help but silently decide in her heart that when she found out the mastermind, she would not let him off easily. All of these accomplices would be punished.

After all the ropes were untied, Shen Qingwan helped Lianyun to stand up slowly.

"I'm late and I'm sorry for making you suffer." There was pity in her eyes as she checked Lianyun's body from top to bottom to see if there were any other injuries.

Lian Yun lowered her head, but she felt a little guilty, "Your Majesty, please don't say that. It was my own carelessness that made you worry about me. I really shouldn't have done that."

"Okay, it's okay." Shen Qingwan hugged her and said in a gentle voice, "I'm glad to see that you are safe. Let's go back home."

"Yes, your majesty." Lianyun finally smiled. She had been feeling very suffocated in the small room these past few days. She hadn't eaten much and was very tired. She missed living with Shen Qingwan very much.

She helped Lianyun out of the hut. Lianyun looked at the blue sky outside and breathed a sigh of relief. Seeing her relieved look, she felt relieved too.

"Tell me, how were you kidnapped?" On the way back, Shen Qingwan still had doubts in her mind, her eyebrows twisted into a knot.

Lianyun calmed herself down, looked up at the sky and recalled, then spoke again after a while, "That day a maid came in and told me to go out, saying that the queen had an accident outside. I was too worried to notice that something was wrong with the maid. Then I followed her outside, and then someone hit me from behind, and I fainted. When I woke up, I was like this."

"Maid?" Shen Qingwan frowned, "What kind of maid?"

"I don't know how to describe her appearance, but if I see her again, I can still recognize her." Lianyun rubbed her head and said hesitantly.

"Okay, let's make plans when we get back." Seeing that she was tired, Shen Qingwan stopped asking.

The group continued to move forward, and no one noticed that the man who was knocked unconscious at the beginning slowly opened his eyes. He ignored the pain from the back of his head, lowered his head and quickly glanced at the guards around him with the corner of his eyes, and found that he was not tied up, but was carried by two guards on the left and right.

He noticed that there were woods and hillsides all around him, and thought that if he could break free of the two guards, he would be able to escape. The woods were easy to hide in, and they probably wouldn't be able to find him.

The man hung his head and pretended to be unconscious, but he was actually waiting for an opportunity.

Shen Qingwan was walking in front, and suddenly turned back to explain something to the guards. They listened attentively and did not notice the man slowly raising his head. Just as they reached a small ramp, the man swung his arms hard, pushed the guards away, and then ran down the ramp.

The guards were stunned for a moment, then ran after him.

The man seemed to be a local, because he was more familiar with the terrain than the guards imagined. He ran down the slope into the woods. The guards were not to be outdone and kept chasing him.

Shen Qingwan and the other guards who were guarding the other man stayed where they were and waited.

The fleeing man would look back at the guards from time to time. He was anxious and panicked, so he ran in the wrong direction. In front of him was a turbulent river.

The man suddenly stopped and almost fell into the river due to inertia. Just as he was worrying about which side of the river to run to, the guards had already arrived in front of him.

Seeing that the situation was hopeless, he stopped struggling and sat down on the ground dejectedly. Because he had just regained consciousness, he had no strength left in his body and was subdued again.

The group returned to the mansion. Shen Qingwan took the lead and walked in, only to see Fu Yuheng already waiting for her in the yard, with Li Jieyu kneeling on the ground and crying beside him.

Shen Qingwan felt strange, but then she thought that Lianyun’s kidnapping might be related to her.

When Fu Yuheng saw her come back, he hurried forward to look her over. After confirming that Shen Qingwan was not injured, he ordered Sun Ning to bring people out.

Sun Ning came out with a maid. When Lianyun saw the maid's face, she couldn't help but open her mouth in surprise.
