With Love and Time

Chapter 19: Whether it is extremely peaceful or not

"Assistant Qiao, I am still an intern now. Is the welfare package provided by Luo's interns so good?"

There is no reward for no merit, and the greater the temptation in front of you, the more likely it is a trap. I have been relatively well-off since I was a child, and I have seen a lot of things in the world. I am not one to be blind to anything, so I still have to ask questions that need to be made clear.

But Kitty replied calmly: "Yes, Luo's employee benefits can be said to be the best in the country, which is why countless people want to join Luo's every year."

When I heard about it, I thought, isn’t it too outrageous that this benefit is so good? The rent alone is enough for one month's salary.

Kitty looked at me and continued: "But to be honest, the houses here are only for some particularly outstanding employees. You are new here and shouldn't live here, but it happens that the dormitories of new employees are being renovated, so I I brought you here on my own initiative. This can be considered a little selfish on my part. Don’t tell anyone else in the company.”

A flash of surprise flashed in my eyes. This was the second time Kitty and I met, so I didn't understand why she would be selfish towards me. I didn't ask directly, and Kitty didn't explain. She just looked at her watch and said, "I have something else to do. I'll leave the key for you on the shoe cabinet in the entrance. I'll leave first."

She walked out, and I quickly followed her out. I stood at the door and said to her, "Assistant Qiao, thank you."

She turned back and smiled at me. For some reason, I always felt that there was something meaningful in that smile.

After Kitty left, I was left alone in the beautifully decorated duplex apartment. Although I couldn't believe it, the happiness came so suddenly, but out of curiosity, I walked up and down the stairs and inadvertently reflected the light. I saw my smiling face on the TV wall.

Sure enough, if you are frustrated in love, you will be proud in your career. God will never push a person to the edge.

I sat on the European-style sofa in the living room, took out my mobile phone and called Xu Lu. When Xu Lu learned that I not only successfully joined the translation department, but even had my own new home, she said loudly on the phone : "Liang Zijin, I want to come to you! Come now, immediately!"

I replied cheerfully: "You come right away, not even a minute late!"

Not ten minutes after I hung up with Xu Lu, my cell phone rang again. It was Kuang Yiyang.

He asked aloud: "Senior sister, I heard that you went to join Luo's company?"

I smiled and replied: "The information is so well-informed, who told you?"

Kuang Yiyang said: "I met Xu Lu. How was it today? Did everything go well?"

I was really in a good mood, so I smiled and replied, "It went very well. I really thank you for your good advice."

Kuang Yiyang said: "Senior sister, do you still remember the bet we made before?"

I said: "If I lose, I will agree to any of your requests. Just tell me."

After saying this, I felt a little uneasy, a little afraid that Kuang Yiyang would ask me to be his girlfriend, so should I refuse or...

"Senior sister, please promise me that from now on you will never cry for those who are not worthy. They have become a thing of the past. You have to look forward. I want to see you smile."

Mr. Luo went to work at eight in the morning, and I arrived at seven-thirty. In the entire translation department, there were only a few male colleagues and I who were rushing to translate documents. I thought for a moment, and instead of sitting in a daze with nothing on my seat, I might as well take the initiative to go over and say a few words.

I came to one of the male colleagues and whispered: "Senior, is there anything I can do to help?"

The man held a stack of dozens of pages of Japanese information in his hand. The small print was very small and densely packed.

He looked up at me and said, "Are you also a Japanese translator?"

I smiled and replied: "I study Japanese at my second foreign school."

The man said: "Then please help me look through this information. The minister will need it before nine o'clock. I have other things on hand and I am too busy."

I glanced at it casually, then smiled and nodded: "No problem."

"Thank you."

I took the materials, walked back to my seat, and started translating seriously. It took me an hour to flip through the 14 or 5 pages of A4 paper. It was basically as fast as reading it once and then starting to translate it. I watched so carefully that I didn't even know when Wang Huining sat down next to me.

After the translation was completed, I showed the document to my male colleague. He glanced at it briefly, and then said with bright eyes: "Zijin, are you okay? This speed is no worse than that of a professional who learns Japanese."

I smiled and replied: "No way, senior praised me. Take a closer look and see if I made any mistakes. Don't come back and cause trouble to you again."

The man nodded: "Okay, thank you. I'll buy you a drink later."

On the way back to my seat, I took on a few more jobs, all of which were helping some colleagues who were overwhelmed with work translate less important documents.

As soon as I sat down, Wang Huining, who was next door, immediately slid his chair to my side. With a mysterious look, he lowered his voice and said, "Zijin, let's be honest. What did Assistant Qiao come to see you for yesterday?"

I remembered what Kitty said to me, so I replied without changing my expression: "Oh, she took me to the staff dormitory."

Wang Huining nodded subconsciously, but quickly raised her eyebrows and asked, "Does this kind of thing require the president's assistant to pick you up in person?"
