Chapter 1231: Daddy is always your daddy (Part 2)

Tony's eyes lit up: "There's such a thing? Tell me about it and it makes me happy."

You're probably being abused by the new fighting coach, aren't you? Luke mocked in his heart, and said rudely, "It's as easy for your secretary to deal with you as it is for Best to deal with her. Are you sure you want to mess with Best?"

Just by looking at the young master's expression, you can tell what he is thinking.

It's probably nothing more than some silly little thoughts like "If I can't beat Batman, can't I deal with Catwoman?"

But this guy really pissed off Selina. Maybe she would use her complete form to pin the young master to the ground and beat him, and at the same time feed him some farting medicine or something to clear his stomach.

Huh? No! Luke's heart trembled: I have to remember this and go back and tell Selina that those "special weapons" must not be used on the young master.

Even the eldest master's father has never dealt with him like this. If this arrogant guy is treated as a "farting boss", it will be a mortal enemy.

The two chatted for a while, and Luke had already entered the laboratory.

There was an old sandbox model on the oversized workbench. He just glanced at it casually and then stopped paying attention to it. He said, "How is the research on Life No. 1 going?"

Tony perked up: "Some progress. But can you tell me where this thing came from?"

Luke was silent for a moment before answering, "Someone sold it to me."

Tony was suspicious: "You said last time that a friend of yours gave it to you."

Luke chuckled, "Business friends."

Tony: "...Okay. Then you'd better buy more and store them. This thing is extremely valuable. If it's just a matter of money, I can give it to you directly within 10 billion."

Luke: “Why so many?”

Tony shrugged nonchalantly: "In a short period of time, I can only take out this much if I don't want to attract other people's attention. Do you need it?"

"No, that guy isn't very interested in money." Luke shook his head: "So, you want more Life No. 1?"

Tony nodded decisively: "Of course. Based on the current research results, it has gone beyond the scope of normal medicine. If I have to give it a definition, I would rather call it "magic" rather than science."

Luke said "oh" but didn't continue the topic: "Is it effective for your chest injury?"

Tony's expression changed, he hesitated for a moment, and turned his head slightly awkwardly: "... I haven't tried it yet."

Luke: "You still have concerns? Well, and you're not afraid that there might be problems with Life No. 1?"

Tony laughed dryly: "No, I just want to confirm whether it has any sequelae."

Luke shook his head. "Don't hide it. You actually know that it has no side effects. What you are really afraid of is yourself. You are afraid of dying like this. There is nothing to be ashamed of. I am afraid of death too."

Tony turned his head and said, "Are you afraid of death? Haha, this is really comforting."

Luke: "Yes, I am. That's why I like to cripple those bad guys first."

Tony: "That's a good reason... It makes sense."

Luke sensed the young master's emotional fluctuations and said nothing more. He just said, "I have another piece of news for you. If you are still not completely confident about Life No. 1, I have a simpler method. It is enough to save you from death, but you have to find a doctor to remove the shrapnel in your chest."

Tony was surprised: "What method?"

Luke: "Healing-type superpowers."

Tony's eyes widened: "Are you kidding?"

Luke shook his head: "No. Once you decide to use this method, you must find a doctor who is very strict."

Tony was immediately sure that Batman wasn't joking.

He frowned.

He was sure that Life No. 1 could basically guarantee that he would not die even if something unexpected happened during the operation.

What is really difficult to overcome is the hurdle in his heart.

There is great terror between life and death.

Not everyone can take life and death lightly.

A small thug can grit his teeth and fight for a few thousand dollars, but when he becomes a gang leader, he may not have the courage to die.

Not to mention people like Tony who stand at the top of the world. There are many interesting things to do when they are alive, but everything will be over when they die.

The stakes were too high, and he didn't dare to make a decision rashly even if there was only a small chance of failure.

After a moment of silence, he took a deep breath and shook his head: "No, I can do it myself."

Luke said no more.

Although he didn't want Tony to die, he was not his father and it was impossible for him to take care of the young master as if he were a child, so he turned to talk about the arrangements for Ivan.

Tony frowned after hearing this: "Are you sure this guy won't mess around?"

He then added: "I'm not worried about him attacking me, but whether he will harm civilians."

Luke nodded: "Then he will die."

Tony's eyes flickered: "Will you kill him?"

Luke chuckled: "Do you think I'm the only one who can kill him?"

Tony was silent for a moment, then nodded: "That doesn't matter. However, if he really comes to cause trouble again, I won't hold back."

Luke: “Whatever you want.”

After saying this, he looked at the reactor on Tony's chest again: "If you don't want to die, you should make a decision as soon as possible and don't let yourself die."

Without waiting for the young master's response, Luke stepped into the elevator, turned invisible again, and the elevator door closed.

Tony watched the elevator quickly descend to the ground floor, let out a long breath, walked onto the platform and let the robotic arm remove his armor.

He rubbed his hand on the reactor on his chest for a while, then turned his head to look at the old sandbox on the workbench, and finally shook his head: "At least, let me see where the future lies, so that I can make a decision."

Walking to the old sand table, he said, "Jarvis, build a digital model. I need an operational projection interface."

Jarvis did so: "Yes, sir."

Tony raised his hand and snapped his fingers, then with a wave of his hand, the model spun around and stood upright again.

Looking at the digital model standing up, he leaned back slightly and stroked his beard: "What does this look like? It looks a bit like an atom. Well, the nucleus should be here..."

Jarvis: "What do you want to do, sir?"

Tony: "I want to discover... No, find a new element."

Then, intermittent commands echoed in the laboratory.

"Remove the walkway..."

“Remove landscaping, trees, parking lots, entrances and exits…”

"Using the globe as the core, construct protons and neutrons..."

For a long time, Tony looked at the blue digital model in front of him, feeling a little annoyed, a little amazed, but mostly in admiration: "You've been dead for more than a decade, and you still want to teach me?"

A smile gradually appeared on the corners of his mouth. He clasped his hands together, and the digital model that filled half of the room was compressed in his hands and turned into a small ball of light.

Jarvis: "Congratulations sir, a new element has just been discovered that should replace the palladium that is currently being used."

Tony stared at the little blue ball of light and exhaled, "Thank you, Dad."
