On the corridor leading to the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, Albert met a group of girls whispering about Lockhart's deeds.
"I really don't understand why girls admire Lockhart so much." Fred looked at Angelina who was talking about Lockhart with her good friend Arya in front of him, and felt an inexplicable irritation in his heart.
"Because Lockhart is handsome. This is a world where appearance matters." Albert said the cruel reality with a strange look on his face. "If you are as handsome as Lockhart, I believe there will be a lot of girls who like you too."
"People don't like a man just because he's handsome!" Shanna coughed lightly and interrupted, "More people admire Lockhart's heroic deeds."
The three of them curled their lips in disdain, expressing their doubts about Lockhart's deeds. The Defense Against the Dark Arts professor has still not demonstrated the abilities to match his deeds.
"Why don't you worship Harry Potter?" Albert raised his eyebrows and asked, "Potter defeated the one who must not be named and saved the British wizards from dire straits."
"Of course it's because... Harry isn't handsome enough."
"Believe me, if Harry were as handsome as you, he would probably be more popular with girls than Lockhart."
"I think Albert is handsome enough, and his fame and achievements are no less than Lockhart. Why don't a lot of girls adore him crazily?" Lee Jordan asked the same question as Fred and George.
"Because I have a girlfriend!" Albert said as a matter of course.
As everyone knows, Albert already has a girlfriend, and she is the smartest and most beautiful girl, leaving those girls who like his looks and fame with no chance at all. It is not a pleasant feeling to be completely crushed by Isobel.
"If Albert doesn't have a girlfriend, I might consider pursuing him."
"What a pity, he has a girlfriend, and it's Isobel!" I don't know which bold girl teased Albert behind his back.
A few people turned around in surprise and saw several Ravenclaw girls greeting Albert. They were the girls accompanying Katrina.
"If you break up with Isobel that day, you can consider me as your girlfriend." A beautiful girl giggled and shook hands with Albert, and introduced herself, "My name is Lorena Kama."
"Well, I think Isobel is fine." Albert loosened his handshake with a bit of embarrassment.
"Laurina!"
Katrina glared at her female companion in dissatisfaction. Lorena's idea made her want to laugh.
"I remember you liked Anderson, so why didn't you pursue him?" Lorena didn't care. "Isobel will graduate earlier than us, so you still have two years to seduce Albert."
"Yes, the relationship between most couples fades after graduation!" Another girl next to Katrina continued to echo. They seemed to want to see Katrina steal their sister's boyfriend.
"I'll let it go. If you want to try, go ahead!" Katrina had a blank expression on her face, but she was sneering in her heart.
"Are all girls nowadays so bold?" George tried hard not to laugh out loud. Looking at Albert's embarrassed and helpless smile, he found it so funny.
"This is a legitimate way of stealing someone's girlfriend!"
"Any ideas?" George asked with a smile, nudging Albert's waist with his elbow.
"Doesn't this just show that I'm popular?" Albert said as a matter of course.
"Karma, Albert, don't count on you. Would you like to consider me?" Li Jordan said with a smile, raising his hand and pointing at himself.
"Sorry, I only like handsome guys." Kama simply refused.
Fred and George finally couldn't hold it in any longer and laughed out loud, holding their stomachs. Several girls in front of them also turned their heads and cast curious glances over here.
"Don't be sad, you just lack confidence and charm." Albert patted Lee Jordan's shoulder and said, "Appearance is secondary."
"Didn't you just say that this is a world where looks matter?" Li Qiaodan felt like he had been hit by billions of critical hits again.
Albert's words are still very insightful!
This is indeed a world where appearance matters.
"Humph, you guys are so ashamed to laugh at me?" Lee Jordan was ready to drag his two bad friends into the water, "Don't think I don't know..."
Fortunately, Lockhart's Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom finally arrived.
Albert quietly walked to the last row and sat down, taking out a Lockhart book from his bag. Other students walked into the classroom chatting, and several girls secretly cast glances over here.
"I should thank Isobel very much." Albert muttered. His girlfriend did help him avoid a lot of trouble.
At least, no girl would suddenly appear and confess to him.
After all the students were seated, Lockhart on the podium did not call the roll, but cleared his throat and began to introduce himself to the class, as if he was worried that some people might not know about his great achievements.
"Me," Lockhart said, pointing to the cover photo of Walking with Trolls, "Gilderoy Lockhart, Third Class Order of Merlin, Honorary Member of the Anti-Dark Magic League, and five-time winner of the Most Charming Smile Award from Wizard Weekly... Of course, you don't have to worry about me always talking about this, because I don't drive away the female ghost in Bandung with a smile!"
After Lockhart finished speaking, a brief burst of giggles broke out in the classroom.
"Before class, let's do a small test to see how well you read and how much you understand... I'll give you thirty minutes." After handing out the papers, Lockhart returned to the podium and said, "Now - start!"
"What's the point of such a little test?" Fred asked in a low voice.
"Self-promotion can let other students know about the many 'great deeds' he has done." Albert quickly filled out the test paper.
Albert finally got full marks in this test.
"Mr. Anderson gets full marks, great!" Lockhart said with a smile, "Ten points for Gryffindor."
In the following class, Lockhart began to read aloud the contents of the textbook to everyone. This teaching method was simply astonishing.
Originally everyone hoped that Professor Lockhart could find some excerpts from these books and provide everyone with in-depth and immersive teaching, but as a result, the Defense Against the Dark Arts class was turned into a reading class.
After the get out of class, Fred couldn't help but complain to Angelina: "I want Anderson to give the lecture. He's ten thousand times better than him."
"Albert is also a fan of Mr. Lockhart!" Angelina reminded sharply.
"No, you think too much." George said depressedly: "I hope Albert can spare some time to teach us Defense Against the Dark Arts this year."
During the last intensive training, the three of them had far surpassed their classmates in terms of defense against the dark arts.
"What do you want to see Professor Lockhart for?" Sana couldn't help but ask when she saw Albert coming back.
"I want a signature for the restricted area." Albert shook the flamboyantly signed note in his hand. Lockhart's handwriting was indeed very good, and it was obvious that he had put in a lot of effort.
"I told him that I wanted to learn more about how vampires overcome blood-sucking and only eat carrots," Albert said. "I needed to borrow books from the restricted section, and he agreed, believing that outstanding students should be given preferential treatment."
