Chapter 557: Hagrid's Gift

Views:

Hermione was a man of action and quickly formed the Defense Against the Dark Arts Club.

Although Albert didn't know how she convinced Harry Potter, Hermione did successfully invite Harry and Ron to join the club.

The only problem was that they had no place to practice magic.

Of course, Albert couldn't tell them the secret of the Room of Requirement. After all, that had always been the place where he and Isobel dated. Once many people knew about the existence of the Room of Requirement, they would not be able to use it well for dating in the future.

Hermione had thought about asking Albert to teach everyone, which would surely attract a large number of students to join the club. Unfortunately, Albert did not plan to be so ostentatious for the time being, and doing so would not be in line with the original purpose, so he simply refused.

However, in order to show his support for Hermione, Albert introduced her to several practical books on Defense Against the Dark Arts and encouraged her to ask Professor Lockhart if she did not understand something.

In fact, Albert had already guessed Hermione's idea. He decided to increase the number of members in the club first, and then invite Professor Lockhart to take time to teach them. In this way, Harry would not resist.

In just a few days, the club has grown to five members, and is showing signs of further expansion.

At this moment, five people led by Hermione were sitting not far from Albert, discussing the barrier spell they had been practicing recently.

This was Albert's advice to Hermione. The Obstacle Spell was a very practical spell, and the way to practice it was very simple: throw a ball of paper at the other person, and then use a spell to stop the ball of paper in mid-air.

For the young wizards who have just come into contact with magic, the barrier spell is still a little difficult, but they enjoy it very much. Even though Ginny and Colin did not join the club to learn Defense Against the Dark Arts at first, they are now very excited about talking about training.

"I think you can definitely form a Defense Against the Dark Arts Club," Fred turned his gaze away from Harry and suggested to Albert who was flipping through the Daily Prophet next to him, "Since Professor Lockhart came to teach the Defense Against the Dark Arts class, we have hardly learned anything useful."

"If you are willing to teach everyone, I believe many people will be willing..."

"I don't want to. You know, I don't have that much time and energy." Albert interrupted dryly, "I have twelve classes to attend every week, a lot of homework, and I have to find time to participate in several professors' clubs. I really don't have time."

"I'm getting tired of hearing these excuses every time you use them." George didn't take it seriously. He knew that Albert would definitely find a way to make time if he wanted to. After all, this guy knew the so-called "clone spell", although they still didn't understand how Albert did it.

"This is not an excuse, but the situation is just like this. I'm really busy." Albert turned to the second page of the newspaper and was considering subscribing to weekly newspapers in the future. The content of the daily newspaper is really not nutritious, it's just a bunch of messy nonsense.

“Don’t think I don’t know that you’re busy dating every day.” Fred couldn’t help but rolled his eyes at Albert.

"I heard that Dumbledore has booked a skeleton dance troupe for this year's Halloween dinner." Lee Jordan came over and told several roommates the good news he had just heard.

"Is the Skeleton Dance Troupe famous?" Albert asked as he closed the newspaper.

"Of course he is famous. How come you don't know that?"

Several people looked at Albert with incredible eyes, as if they were looking at some rare animal.

"The Skeleton Dance Troupe will definitely surprise you." Lee Jordan said excitedly, "Tickets for the Skeleton Dance Troupe have always been difficult to buy and are extremely expensive. It is really exciting that the principal actually invited them to perform at the school."

"I'll look forward to it a little bit." Albert said casually

"Are you really not going to consider my proposal just now?" Fred still didn't give up. He thought that Hermione's idea of forming a Defense Against the Dark Arts Club was a good one.

People should learn to save themselves.

"It's as if I don't have to do homework."

Albert suddenly looked up at the owl flying towards him. A package was thrown in front of him with a letter on it.

However, what attracted the most attention was that the package actually trembled.

"What is this?"

Several people were obviously startled by the strange package.

George raised his hand and poked the package, lowering his voice and saying, "Could someone send you something weird again?"

"There's a letter on it," Lee Jordan reminded. He took the letter out of the package and glanced at the sender's name. "It's from Hagrid."

As he said this, he handed the letter to Albert.

Albert glanced at the untidy handwriting on it, then casually opened the letter and took out the paper.

"Can we unpack it?"

Fred was really curious about what was in the package, so he asked Albert for his opinion. He thought that Albert would probably not open such a strange package by himself.

"Open it!" Albert did not object, "Hagrid wouldn't send anything dangerous."

"Hagrid's view of danger seems to be different from that of ordinary people."

Albert added in his mind.

He knew that Hagrid had been friends with a giant acromantula, had bought a Greek three-headed dog from the Hog's Head, and had secretly kept an illegal dragon at home.

However, Albert was not too worried that Hagrid would send him something dangerous, especially since he would not be the one to open the package.

He began to read Hagrid's letter, which said two things:

Professor Wilhelmina Grubbly-Plank appears to have other magical creatures to care for and is unable to remain at Hogwarts as Care of Magical Creatures professor for long.

The suspicious item in the package is "The Monster Book of Monsters", which is the textbook chosen by Hagrid, hoping that Albert can give him some advice.

Finally, note:

Be careful, it bites.

Just stroke the spine of a book to calm it down.

"What the hell is this thing? It actually bites me. It hurts. Help me get it off."

An exasperated voice sounded from the side. When Albert turned his head to look over, he found that Fred's palm was bitten by "The Monster Book of Monsters" and he was shaking it hard, trying to get the book off his hand.

George and Lee Jordan reacted and rushed forward to help Fred pull the book out of his hands. The book fell to the ground and immediately ran under the table like some kind of crab.

"What the hell did Hagrid send you?" Fred complained to Albert while checking the wound on the back of his hand. "Who said this thing is not dangerous?"

Albert ignored Fred's resentful look, pulled out his wand and waved it, making the book float up, then conjured a rope out of thin air and tied it tightly.

"Okay, it's safe now." Albert threw the book on the table. Although the thing still trembled occasionally, it was obviously no longer able to bite people.

"Why would Hagrid send you this?" George asked curiously. "It looks like a mad dog."

"It's called 'The Monster Book of Monsters'. Yes, you heard it right, it's a book."

"Are you sure this thing is a book? I think it looks like some kind of dangerous magical animal." Fred emphasized the word "dangerous".

"You'd better go find Madam Pomfrey to treat the wound to avoid leaving a scar." As he spoke, Albert reached out and gently stroked the spine of the book, and "The Monster Book of Monsters" immediately became very obedient.

"What bad luck! Why didn't you tell me earlier that you had a way to subdue him?" Fred complained incessantly.

"Hagrid wrote in the letter." Albert stuffed the book into his backpack. "Let's go and find Madam Pomfrey. I don't think you want to get a scar."

The three of them understood what Albert meant and accompanied Fred to the school hospital.

On the way, Albert told them that Hagrid was going to apply to become professor of Care of Magical Creatures.

"Oh, God, don't tell me that's the textbook Hagrid chose."

The three of them felt unwell all of a sudden.

The news of Professor Kettleburn's illness had spread throughout the school, and Professor Grubbly-Plank had temporarily taken over the Care of Magical Creatures class.

"I thought Professor Grubbly-Plank would take over Professor Kettleburt's position." Fred really couldn't imagine what things would be like after Hagrid took over the Care of Magical Creatures class.

Albert could understand the feelings of the three people, but they would not be the only ones who were disappointed. Many people thought that Professor Grubblan would take over Professor Kettleber's position.

"Anyway, next year will be the last year." Albert didn't care much about it. He didn't plan to continue studying the Care of Magical Creatures course.

In fact, Albert even planned to give up Muggle Studies, Divination, History of Magic, and Astronomy in the sixth grade.
