The October sky was gloomy, with signs of rain looming, but the bad weather failed to affect everyone's good mood, nor could it stop the students from heading to Hogsmeade.
No student would refuse to have a great day at Hogsmeade and then return to school for the Halloween feast.
This great feast just got even better.
On the way to Hogsmeade, Albert and Isobel chatted about the wolfsbane potion, so they didn't find the journey boring.
Suddenly, a group of Ravenclaw girls walked by, Katrina and her female companions. The girls giggled over here and talked in low voices, seeming to be talking about Albert and Isobel, and some girls even kept looking back at Albert and Isobel.
However, the two of them didn't take it too seriously and ignored the girls' scrutiny, continuing their previous conversation until they entered Hogsmeade.
"Let's go to Honeydukes first!" Albert took Isobel's hand and walked into the candy store filled with the aroma of taffy and crowded with students.
In a corner of the candy store, Albert saw several people sucking on balls of ice cream, allowing their feet to float a few inches off the ground.
"Let's go and give it a try too."
Just as the two of them were walking towards the corner, they happened to meet Katrina and her female companions. One of them actually ran over and greeted Isobel enthusiastically while he was choosing candy.
"You are really popular." The girl said softly.
"It's not good to be too famous." Albert sighed faintly, walked to a cotton candy machine, and fiddled with the cotton candy, "Have you ever eaten this thing?"
"What are you doing?" Isobel noticed Albert was shaping the marshmallows and asked curiously.
In a few moments, a flower made of marshmallow was formed, and Albert gave it to Isobel next to him.
"A little Muggle trick."
"I almost don't want to eat it." Isobel said softly as she looked at the flower made of marshmallow.
At this moment, several girls came over and chatted with Albert, hoping that he could help them get the same flower.
"Sorry, we have something to do and need to leave."
Albert politely declined and took the candies he had just bought to the counter to pay. Then, he left the candy store under the resentful gazes of a group of girls.
"If you are willing to teach this little trick to the owner of the candy store, he might be happy to give you a 9.5% discount when you buy candy." Isobel was very happy as she looked at the marshmallows and flowers in her hands.
"Forget it. I'm not Professor Lockhart and I don't really like being watched by a group of people."
The two went to Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop, where couples always liked to date. There they met Percy and his female companion. Miss Penelope seemed very interested in the marshmallow flowers in Isobel's hands, so Percy took her to Honeydukes Candy Shop, and seemed to be planning to buy one for his girlfriend.
"I'm afraid Penelope will be disappointed." Isobel put the marshmallow aside, ordered two cups of milk tea, and chatted with Albert about beauty potions.
In fact, there are many similar beauty potions in the magical world. This thing was originally proposed and developed by a witch named Sakissa Tugwood in the last century, but no beauty potion can keep people young.
In the United States, Miss Catherine also has not made much progress. It is by no means an easy task to develop a medicine that can help people maintain their appearance.
Sometimes, potion research requires a little luck.
Albert plans to find inspiration from the raw materials of beauty potions and mandrake roots. After all, mandrake roots can be used through complex potion craftsmanship to brew potions that can delay aging.
However, Albert had no idea whether this thing would work or not, but that did not stop him from revealing some research directions to Isobel.
Just then, a flash of lightning streaked across the sky and faint thunder was heard in the distance.
Dense raindrops fell heavily, pedestrians on the street looked for places to shelter from the rain, and many students also flocked to the teahouse to hide from the rain.
I stayed in the store for an hour, waiting until the rain subsided, before leaving the teahouse and planning to buy something at Davis Bans store.
As soon as Albert paid and walked out of the teahouse, he saw an acquaintance.
"Mr. Hertok Dagworth," Albert took Isobel's hand and walked quickly forward to greet the figure who was about to cross the corner.
"It's Albert!" Hetok stopped and looked at Albert in surprise. His eyes fell on Isobel beside him and he asked with a smile, "Would you like to introduce the lady next to you?"
"This is Isobel, my girlfriend," Albert began to introduce the two parties, "and this is Hertog Dagworth, a famous potion master, whom I mentioned to you before."
"Why are you here?"
"I needed bird-snake eggs, and I came to see Mr. Kettlebur, for I heard he was ill."
"You sold the house to Mr. Kettlebur?" Albert had guessed the reason.
"Yes, I heard him say that he was going to retire, so I gave him the house in Hogsmeade." Hetok said with a smile: "You know, I seldom come here, so it would be a waste to keep the house."
After Albert asked Isobel for her opinion, the two followed Hertog into a secluded street and came to the house they had visited last time.
The place has been carefully maintained, the weeds in the garden have turned into flowers, and a shed has been built next to it.
"I thought Professor Kettleburn would stay in the hospital to recover."
"Mr. Kettlebur was worried about his little cuties, so he came back."
The person who opened the door for them was a house-elf, probably sent from Hogwarts to take care of Professor Kettlebur's daily life.
Professor Kettlebur was very happy to have someone visit him, and chatted with them about some recent events.
"I saw in the newspaper that Mr. Damocles released the wolfsbane potion." Mr. Kettlebur looked at Hertok with confusion and bewilderment. He thought that the wolfsbane potion was invented by Hertok.
"It was Damocles who first proposed using the toxin of Aconitum chamaejasme to make a wolfsbane potion to restrain werewolves. The potion appeared a long time ago, but there were some problems with the raw materials and configuration." Hetok explained with a smile, "Later, he invited us to help improve the potion. I remember Albert was a great help at the time."
Professor Kettleber looked at Albert in surprise, and the latter shook his head to indicate that he had made some suggestions at the time.
"But it's a bit expensive. I don't think werewolves can afford it." Professor Kettlebur shook his head. "By the way, how many bird snake eggs do you need?"
"One... no, two." Hetok changed his words temporarily, thinking that he needed to be prepared just in case.
"I asked Clark to bring it to you." Professor Kettleber did not refuse, but just sighed softly, "Originally there should have been eight bird snake eggs, but I don't know what happened. When I checked, I found that two were missing."
"Was it stolen?"
"I don't know. I don't remember it." said Professor Kettleber.
Albert's brows raised slightly, which reminded him of that scumbag Lockhart. After all, he needed bird snake eggs to make his bird snake egg yolk shampoo.
"Maybe you gave it to Professor Lockhart? I remember his bird snake egg yolk shampoo requires bird snake eggs." Albert put the blame on Lockhart without any hesitation. Who made that guy the most suspicious
"Bird snake egg yolk shampoo?" Hertok raised his eyebrows slightly.
"Professor Lockhart gave me a bottle last time. I haven't used it yet. It's here." Albert said as he took out the shampoo from the deformed lizard skin bag.
"I've heard of this stuff. It's sold on the black market. It's said to be a little dangerous to use, but the effect is very good." Hetok took the shampoo, looked it up and down and commented, "However, this thing is not even a semi-finished product."
"That's a shameful waste. I don't know why Dumbledore agreed to let him become the professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts." Kettlebur was very dissatisfied with Lockhart's bird snake egg yolk shampoo, the main ingredient of which was the yolk of bird snake eggs.
"Okay, don't get excited. You should recover from your illness first." Hetok comforted him. After the house-elf brought the bird-snake eggs, the few of them stopped disturbing Professor Kettleber and got up to say goodbye and left.
"Do you think it's Professor Lockhart?" Isobel suddenly asked after separating from Hertork.
"Don't you think the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor every year is suspicious?" Albert said, then changed the subject. "Is there anywhere you want to go?"
"Go to the Three Broomsticks for a drink and then go back." Isobel hesitated for a moment, then asked, "Have you asked Mr. Hertoker about the beauty potion?"
"Of course I have asked." Albert did not hide it. "He said that the witch Sakissa Tugwood, who once specialized in beauty potions, also proposed a similar idea and even spent a lot of time on research, but never succeeded."
"That's right, it can't be that easy to succeed."
"If you want, I can ask for you." Albert suddenly said, "The descendants of witch Sakissa Tugwood may still have the previous research materials."
Albert thought that he could find some inspiration from others, maybe he would succeed
Although it is not good to rely on luck, it is not a bad idea to give it a try.
"Actually, you want to see it yourself!"
Isobel looked at Albert speechlessly, but nodded anyway, fearing that her notes and research records from that time would be lost.
Most wizards don't value knowledge as much as they think, especially things that can't make money. The beauty potion invented by the witch Sakissa Tugwood is no longer a secret.
