"Albus, why are you here?"
Professor McGonagall asked automatically when she saw Dumbledore.
"I just came downstairs to get a cup of hot chocolate. What happened here?" Dumbledore asked, noticing the change in expression on Professor McGonagall's face.
"I heard a strange sound... By the way, I just found Mr. Creevy. He is very likely... petrified." While talking to Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall looked up at the end of the corridor. There seemed to be something over there.
"What did you find?" Dumbledore followed Professor McGonagall's gaze.
"I think the sound just now... was most likely made by the guy who attacked Mr. Creevy and Argus's cat." Professor McGonagall hesitated for a moment and expressed her opinion on the matter. "That sound was not the sound of walking, but rather the sound of something dragging on the ground."
"Let's go and have a look..."
Dumbledore drew his wand and walked forward at great speed. Professor McGonagall immediately followed him. When they crossed the corridor and stood at the corner, there was deathly silence all around, without any strange sounds.
"Hidden?"
Professor McGonagall listened attentively and said in a low voice, "But how did he do it? Was it a secret passage?"
"Okay, calm down, Minerva." Dumbledore looked at the deep darkness at the end of the corridor and said calmly, "Since the attacker has escaped, I think we'd better send Mr. Creevey to the hospital ward first. Where is he?"
"On those stairs over there."
Professor McGonagall took a deep breath and followed Dumbledore towards the stairs, where they soon found the petrified boy.
Dumbledore squatted down and checked the boy's condition. When he found that he was only petrified, he couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. "He is petrified. Let's take him to the school hospital."
As he spoke, Dumbledore reached out and lifted Colin's shoulders. Professor McGonagall also cooperated by lifting Colin's feet. The two of them, one in front and one behind, slowly carried Colin's body up the stairs and went to the school hospital not far from here.
On the other side of the castle, Tom Riddle has successfully recalled the basilisk.
Professor McGonagall's appearance was a little unexpected to him.
Fortunately, the other party did not chase after us immediately, otherwise an accident would have really happened.
After all, as the Transfiguration professor at Hogwarts, Professor McGonagall's abilities should not be underestimated. If the basilisk fails to kill or petrify it in the first place, a series of chain problems will follow.
The aftermath of the battle? It would most likely wake up all the students in the school, not to mention that Dumbledore was nearby.
Tom Riddle didn't want to be exposed just yet.
However, the situation is going well.
The basilisk returned to the secret room? The two people behind chased after it, but it was too late.
Only Parseltongue? can open the Chamber of Secrets.
After Dumbledore and McGonagall lost the basilisk, they immediately gave up looking for him and went to the school hospital together.
Tom Riddle has already taken Ginny Weasley to the Room of Requirement? He plans to let Ginny Weasley stay there for the night.
After all, returning to the Gryffindor common room in the dead of night? That looked suspicious anyway. The portrait guarding the door would surely be suspicious.
As for? Not coming back all night
Tom had made preparations long ago. Before leaving, he cast a spell on several of Ginny Weasley's roommates so that they could sleep soundly until dawn. They didn't have to worry about waking up in the middle of the night to find Ginny was not in the dormitory.
Confirmed again and again that Dumbledore and McGonagall went to the school hospital? Tom Riddle had already come to the eighth floor through the secret passage and was standing in front of the Room of Requirement.
"Dumbledore is as annoying as ever."
Tom stared at Dumbledore's footprints on the map, his expression becoming more and more ferocious. "But you can't stop me. Not fifty years ago? Not now either."
After saying that, Tom closed the diary and prepared to enter the Room of Requirement, when he suddenly felt as if someone was staring at him.
He turned his head suddenly and looked around, but found no one else. The quiet darkness was so thick and terrifying.
Tom opened the Room of Requirement and pushed the door to go in when he suddenly noticed a magical light behind him.
Before Tom could react, a spell hit Ginny Weasley from behind, causing her to stagger forward two steps and fall to the ground.
Who attacked me
Tom had clearly used a human presence spell to make sure there was no one else around.
How did the other party hide it
Even though Tom tried his best to resist the stunning spell, he still lost control of Ginny Weasley's body, and until the end he didn't know who attacked him.
After Ginny Weasley was knocked down by a Stunning Spell, Albert appeared out of thin air without warning, walked into the Room of Requirement, and closed the door.
“It went better than expected.”
Albert lifted his foot to push the wand out of Ginny Weasley's hand, and took out the box that Nicolas Flamel had sent him from the deformed lizard skin bag. He began to put on dragon leather gloves, and then put Tom Riddle's diary from Ginny's hand into the box.
"In this case, I'll see how you can cause trouble for me."
Albert hummed with pleasure, and planned to work on the diary another day. He waved his wand and cast a Disillusionment Charm on Ginny Weasley, temporarily sending her out of the Room of Requirement.
Albert then returned the box containing Tom Riddle's diary to the trash heap in the Room of Requirement.
It’s really kind of funny to say.
At the beginning, Albert designed Dumbledore to take away Voldemort's crown Horcrux, and now he has hidden Voldemort's diary Horcrux here himself.
He needed to buy himself enough time to make full preparations and forge Tom Riddle's diary.
Albert firmly believed that as long as it was properly controlled, Tom's Horcrux would be a hen that laid golden eggs, providing him with sufficient mission experience and rewards, while also minimizing risks. It would be more useful than Quirrell, the tool man last semester.
Well, it can also reduce the impact of Slytherin's Chamber of Secrets on Hogwarts.
I am indeed a good person.
After leaving the Room of Requirement, Albert immediately took Ginny Weasley back to the Gryffindor common room.
The Fat Lady still hadn't returned, but someone had opened the entrance to the common room for him.
After Albert walked into the Gryffindor common room, the familiar voice suddenly sounded, "You should go, it's best to go to the bathroom, the second to last one.
"What about her?"
"I'll take care of it," the voice said calmly.
"Thank you for your help." Albert walked upstairs. When he disappeared at the end of the stairs, another Albert appeared out of thin air. Looking at the unconscious Ginny Weasley, he murmured, "You should thank me."
