(Dao, Dao)
Demon Buddha? It sounds evil. Yan Ze'an didn't know what "Buddha" was, but as soon as the word "demon" came out, Yan Ze'an made a judgment.
Buddha should be a kind of existence similar to the righteous path, and demons are naturally out of the question. Well, at least this is Yan Ze'an's initial judgment. However, Yan Ze'an still asked seriously and did not make a rash judgment; but the first thing he asked was, of course, the name.
The leading ascetic monk continued, "My name is 'Faye'. The Fa means magic, and the Ye means sin. We have inherited a philosophy that is different from the cultivation methods of the Immortal Realm and the Holy Realm."
"A long time ago, the Holy Land had contact with a world called 'Trayastrimsa Heaven'. Trayastrimsa Heaven is a transliteration, and the literal translation is 'Thirty-three Heavens World'. This is a world where 'Buddha' practice is prevalent. In that world, people who are positive and pursue the spread of Dharma, virtue, and salvation are 'Buddha', also known as 'Mahayana Buddhism'. There is also Hinayana Buddhism, which pursues personal transcendence, but also acts uprightly and has a compassionate heart. Its highest realm is called 'Bodhisattva'. However, where there is light, there is darkness. After all, some people pursue extreme power for their own desires and degenerate their souls. This can be called 'demon'. In Trayastrimsa Heaven, Buddha and demon do not refer to the external, but to the internal practice; therefore, there is a saying that 'the difference between demon and Buddha is just one thought'. Even a great Buddha who has achieved success in practice may become a demon in a moment. Therefore, in Trayastrimsa Heaven, everyone talks about demons. This is the general situation. Next, we will talk about 'demon Buddha'."
After a short pause, Faye continued, "In Trayastrimsa Heaven, everyone is terrified by the mention of demons; however, there is a great fearless wise man who, with supreme perseverance, wisdom, and determination, resolutely and voluntarily fell into the path of demons, and then used the demon to become a Buddha, creating supreme glory. His name is Kasyapa; he named himself Kasyapa Tathagata. Because he broke through the obstacles between Buddha and demons, he is also called the 'Second Mahavairocana Tathagata'."
Yan Zean was filled with respect after hearing this. "Although I am an outsider, after hearing this, I can only admire you."
However, Faye sighed, "However, flowers do not stay red for a hundred days, and people do not stay good for a thousand days. To put it in a popular way, the wind destroys the beautiful trees, and the rain beats the rafters. Kasyapa Tathagata is not only excellent, but also has a slightly extreme and arrogant personality because he was once possessed by the devil. In addition, there is a conflict between Buddha and devil, and both sides cannot tolerate Kasyapa Tathagata. Therefore, Kasyapa Tathagata was plotted against and disappeared. But before Kasyapa Tathagata disappeared, he left behind a true scripture that was widely circulated throughout the world. It is called "Demon Buddha Sutra". However, due to many twists and turns in the "Demon Buddha Sutra", the content is incomplete; what we are inheriting now is the part of "Demon Buddha Sutra"."
"So that's it!" Yan Ze'an agreed on the surface, but secretly had more questions - when Longcheng Governor Li Chengyang rebuked the other party as a "fake monk", the other party looked ferocious, and Yan Ze'an would not ignore this detail; but it was obviously not suitable to ask now, and even this matter was not suitable to ask at any time. He could only investigate secretly, or completely bribe one or two of them.
After the preliminary conversation, Yan Ze'an sent these ascetics, who were actually "monks", to their residence, and immediately reported the situation to the great wise king.
