Harry Potter’s Book of Sin

Chapter 1102: Another secret passage

Views:

After Malfoy entered the room, Pansy didn't know what Maka said to him.

She only knew that when the closed door reopened in front of her, the first thing that came into view was Malfoy's frowning face.

In this regard, even though Pansy asked repeatedly, the other party never said even half a word.

But after that, Malfoy was no longer as hesitant as before. Not only that, after leaving Maka's room, he didn't even pay attention to Pansy anymore, but went straight back along the corridor towards the main castle.

"Why?"

Pansy was stunned for a moment by confusion, and then hurriedly chased after him.

But unfortunately, even she caught up with Malfoy and returned to the common room with him. But until her classmates finished their homework and went back to their dormitories to sleep, she could no longer talk to each other.

And when the lights-out time came, Pansy lay on her bed silently waiting for her roommate to fall asleep. Her mood fell back into depression again, and she knew she had to leave.

The Slytherin dormitory area late at night was somewhat eerie.

After the lights were turned off, there was not much light in the corridor. There were only one or two dim torches that barely kept people from bumping into the wall while walking.

Pansy walked softly along the dim corridor, holding the invisibility cloak that Maka had lent her, intending to put it on later before leaving the common room.

After all, there was no Filch patrolling the short stretch from the dormitory to the lounge.

But what she didn't expect was that the moment she entered the common room, a vaguely identifiable figure suddenly appeared in her sight.

Suddenly, Pansy, who had no time to take a closer look at who it was, hurriedly put the invisibility cloak on her body.

She knew that if someone discovered her, she would probably not be able to complete her "grave-sweeping appointment" tonight.

There was no way, even though she didn't want to go at all, she knew she had to go. Otherwise, let alone what the wizard named Martin would do to her, even Maka might not be able to explain it.

However, suddenly, a familiar voice suddenly made her stop what she was doing.

"Why so slow?"

That's Malfoy's voice!

Pansy was so surprised that she almost screamed. Fortunately, she realized in time that it was late at night. If she had just piped up like that, the students living in the nearby dormitories would probably have heard her.

"Draco?"

After suppressing the shock in her heart a little, she said softly:

"You... why are you here?"

"Of course I'm waiting for you," Malfoy said a little impatiently, "I know what you want to ask! To be honest, I didn't want to show up here tonight... But who let that guy MacLean do it? Is the plan really attractive?"

"McLean?"

Pansy had wanted to ask about this for a long time, but Malfoy refused to say anything before, so she had no choice but to bury the question in her heart for the time being.

Now that Malfoy had taken the initiative to bring it up, she immediately couldn't wait to ask:

"What plan did he tell you?"

However, Malfoy still seemed unwilling to say more about the so-called "plan" mentioned just now.

At the next moment, Pansy heard Malfoy casually say:

"You don't need to know what the plan is! You just need to remember that after you go there tonight, you will remember your identity and do what you should do... As for the rest, there is no need You're too careful!"

"What should I do? What?"

Malfoy's rambling words obviously only made Pansy more confused. Fortunately, he didn't even know what he wanted Pansy to do.

Soon, Pansy heard him continue:

"There is no doubt that McLean has told me all the bad things about you. Humph, as a descendant of a pure-blood wizard, he could easily fall into the scheme of black magic because of his greed for petty gains—"

Malfoy could not help but ridicule Pansy because of this incident, but it was not without reason.

Thinking about himself, he also fell into Voldemort's conspiracy and was eroded by the mysterious energy of the Bewitched Monument that the other party secretly "gifted" to him, and almost became a sad victim.

Compared with the secrets Voldemort left behind, the method Martin used to recruit "believers" can only be described as "unremarkable".

It is conceivable that if the wizards he summoned are not the kind of people who are in urgent need of power, then they must be idiots with insufficient brains.

At least that's what Malfoy thought.

"But, forget it, it's only your own fault that you were deceived." After a slight pause, he continued, "And what I want you to understand is that you continue to play your role - Didn't that guy McClane ask you to be a spy? Then no matter what happens, you just need to do what he says!"

Pansy felt a little depressed by Malfoy's words, but she also knew that what he said was true. If I hadn't been so stupid back then, I probably wouldn't be in this predicament now.

So, while feeling depressed, she couldn't help but ask:

"how about you?"

"You'll know when the time comes," Malfoy said, suddenly tilting his head and saying, "Let's go! Don't waste time here, there are still many things to do tonight."

Since Malfoy was waiting for her here, it was obvious that he wanted to leave Hogwarts with her. Pansy was more or less aware of this just now.

But when Malfoy said these words himself, she couldn't help but be a little surprised.

"Do you really want to go with me? But... how should I explain to that guy then? Moreover, even if you want to join that organization, you must complete the first step of the magic ritual. But in that case, wouldn't you be just like me..."

Before Pansy could finish speaking, Malfoy immediately interrupted:

"Enough! Who told you that I was going to join that boring organization? All I need is the exact location where you will hold your secret meeting, and even this, McClain has told me directly."

"and you-"

"You want to ask me why you didn't go by yourself instead of waiting for you here?" Malfoy said, "Because I also want to know how on earth you changed from being surrounded by people on guard when you attended the last rally. Sneaking out of school?"

Not long after, behind the Owl Post Office in Hogsmeade Village, there was a utility room filled with scrap wood.

With a slight "click" sound, the door of a closet at the base of the wall was pushed open from the inside, and immediately after, two figures climbed out of it.

In the hazy moonlight projected from the window, dust fell rustling down, filling the slightly crowded room quietly.

"Cough cough cough cough..."

A muffled cough that was deliberately suppressed followed. Although he covered his mouth, it was still very obvious in this silent night.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I should have warned you earlier."

"Ahem... the coughing sound alone is bad enough, so don't... ahem... say any more unnecessary words!"

After these two soft conversations, the two figures hurried through the gaps in the wood, and soon arrived behind the door of the utility room.

Immediately, the man walking in front carefully unlocked the door, and after glancing outside through the crack in the door, he took the lead and walked out.

To be honest, the weather in Hogsmeade tonight is rare. When you look up, you can see a large number of stars twinkling slightly. And high in the sky, the two meteors that were getting further and further away from each other were already much dimmer than the previous days.

Under the moonlight, Pansy was the first to come out of the utility room.

After confirming again that no one was nearby, she waved to the dark door and called Malfoy out.

Obviously, Pansy's method of slipping out of the tightly guarded Hogwarts was another secret passage unknown to most people.

During the Goblin Rebellion, it was said that there were at least eight secret passages connecting the school to Hogsmeade. Even though several of them have collapsed and been abandoned now, and a few others have been found, those are certainly not all of them.

As a descendant of the Parkinson family who had participated in the Goblin Rebellion, Pansy happened to know one of them - although, in fact, there were already some places where the structure was not very stable.

"This way!"

Pansy didn't say this, she just reminded Malfoy behind her again with gestures, and then walked gently along the wall behind the post office to the other side.

Speaking of which, both of them have actually learned how to apparate.

Not to mention Malfoy, at least Pansy had already participated in this year's Apparition class. Although the course is not over yet and she has not obtained the license yet, there is no big problem in using it.

As for Malfoy, he was already regretting his failure to repeat the grade and had no intention of waiting until next year to learn this magic technique again. As early as the Christmas vacation, he asked his father to help him practice.

However, even though they had already learned the Apparition Curse, neither of them used it immediately after leaving Hogwarts.

Because both of them understood that they were still far from being able to use this magic spell without making a crackling sound as a beginner, and anyone could hear that determined sound in this quiet night.

In particular, some of the wizards from Blois Castle were also arranged to guard here. If they heard it, it would be equivalent to exposing his whereabouts.

A moment later, when Pansy and Malfoy both left Hogsmeade and entered a snowy forest a little far away from the village, the two of them silently performed Apparition.
