A tentacle emerged from a dazzling sun. It was extremely incongruous no matter how you looked at it, but Charles let it happen.
Feeling threatened, the sun's rays became even more dazzling, and the extremely high temperature quickly burned the flesh-colored tentacles into charcoal.
But this did not affect anything. Two, three, four, more and more tentacles emerged and were scorched. The bright sun that should have been dazzling began to be gradually eroded by black and eventually turned completely into a black sun.
At this point, no matter what the light ball did, it was useless. With a tremor in the water, the light ball exploded instantly, from a round sphere into five rings.
The five rings seemed to sense the danger and instinctively wanted to run, but it was doomed to be futile.
The wriggling tentacles that had just grown out of the light ball merged together to form a long snake, which passed through their inner ring at an extremely fast speed and directly tied them up.
When Charles saw these halos, he felt a little familiar. He narrowed his eyes slightly, and the picture in his mind came into reality. It was the Dawn 1 over Hope Island.
Dawn-1 looks very similar to these halos, the only difference is that these things do not have the inverted triangle tangram puzzle in the middle.
Specks of starlight, like fireflies, filtered through the halos and re-entered Lily's body.
Lily, who regained her strength, changed her depressed look and rushed out of the sea to hover next to Charles. She felt much better and her whole body was no longer so cold.
Having lost the energy they were snatching away, those halos gradually revealed their true colors, that faint translucent blue glow.
"What are they?" Lily asked hesitantly.
"They are ghosts. Except for Dawn 1 and Dawn 4 who eventually became the God of Light, all other Dawns are dead." Charles stated the purpose of these things.
Charles touched his chin and continued, "In fact, these things should still be considered human. After all, one of the synthetic materials of that thing is the human soul. One Dawn Project requires three people as materials."
Lily looked at the circles that were trying to escape and subconsciously wanted to plead for them, but in the end she said nothing.
"Let's ignore them for now. Let's get back to business and do our work. Don't forget why you came here."
After Charles finished speaking, he slowly turned around and slowly raised his hands towards the empty sea surface. There was an earthquake, and along with the earthquake, the entire sea began to shake.
In this violent turmoil and the roar of the tsunami, the island that should have sunk to the bottom of the sea was lifted entirely to the surface of the water.
Charles took Lily to the island and observed the island that gave birth to the God of Light.
"The Second Generation Foundation is protecting this place. They have placed some kind of restrictions here. Otherwise, it would be impossible that there are no signs of corruption over the years." Charles, who had just arrived on the island, immediately discovered something that Lily could not detect.
"Are these guys also trying to create a God of Light? Or are they just remembering their colleagues from thousands of years ago?"
"Mr. Charles, it seems difficult to restart this place. We need divine blood, and we also need to fully master all the knowledge here, and also..."
Lily was interrupted by Charles just as she was about to finish her sentence. "Do you think I didn't think about this before I came here?"
As Charles spoke, he reached out and covered his two eyes, and black and red spiders the size of eggs kept crawling out from them.
These are the spiders that originally served as Charles' eyeballs, but now the spiders have become a little strange, with some flesh and blood growing on their bodies.
The eyeball at the tail was not just a pattern, but had completely turned into a bloodshot red eye.
There were so many huge spiders coming out of Charles' eye sockets that they formed a black and red carpet on the ground and spread towards the surrounding buildings.
Some remote houses even began to rise from the ground and used their newly grown six legs to move closer to their companions.
Charles had distorted the exterior beyond recognition, and so had the various facilities inside the building. Blood vessels and tentacles had penetrated into the machinery, turning them into organs of the flesh-and-blood house. Bioenergy replaced electrical energy to power these half-flesh, half-machine beings.
Huge tentacles burst out of the ceiling and swayed in the air. Proliferating red and blue blood vessels spread all over the island, which had completely become a part of Charles.
All kinds of ferocious mouths opened and madly ate everything on the computer and papers. All the knowledge contained in them was known to Charles.
When something is incomplete, he will look for answers in the fragments of the past.
Charles quickly restored how the Foundation had created all the technologies created by the God of Light.
Lily looked at everything in front of her with a complicated expression. She felt that the person in front of her was becoming more and more unfamiliar.
"What do you mean strange? I'm not your captain. Your captain is on the other side." Charles reached out and put the eyeball in his hand back into the eye socket.
"I know, but since you've become like this, Charles over there should be about the same, right?"
"It's different. Your Charles is not as strong as me. But in a sense, this may be a good thing. He can be slower."
After saying that, Charles' body swayed and he fell directly to the ground. His strong body couldn't even maintain its human form.
The old scars on his face and body began to crack, revealing the wriggling flesh and some half-formed, shriveled eyes.
"Mr. Charles, are you okay?" Lily felt that something was obviously wrong with Charles at this moment.
The head that split into two parts shook its head vigorously at the same time, "It's okay, there is too much knowledge here, too much to master, and it's a bit out of control for a while."
"But it doesn't matter. I've anticipated all of this and set aside some time. I still have two days before I completely lose control."
When Lily heard this, her pupils shrank. "Are you going to die?"
"No, to be exact, I am going to become a god. I have done everything I can. You are my last backup. The rest will be left to other Charles."
Charles' words were very plain, but to Lily they were not so plain. The Charles in front of her had paid far more than she had imagined.
"I'm not weak enough to need comfort from others. Don't feel sorry for me. Think about yourself first."
"What are you considering?" Lily didn't quite understand what the other party was saying.
"Did you forget so quickly? It turns out that the human brain is too easy to forget things. Think about how the God of Light was created."
"You can't become the God of Light by yourself. The God of Light was originally a combination of seven people."
Having said this, dozens of eyes on Charles' body looked at Lily at the same time, "Who are you going to look for among the remaining six people?"
