"You said you can see the future, so can you see the future after you absorb it?" asked 005 who was gradually disappearing.
"Yes, I can see two futures, one successful and one unsuccessful."
After Charles finished speaking, tens of millions of tentacles grew out from the flesh walls of his body and instantly poked towards the remains of the gods in his body.
In an instant, Charles felt the wind. He didn't know whether it was an illusion or reality. The wind was so strong that it penetrated his skin and blew through all his internal organs.
The wind was black, and the surrounding environment began to change under the influence of the wind.
The fierce black wind carried him across the dark abyss of the universe, across the gray regions, through unknown and dim planets and landscapes, swirling across the boundless space.
The stars around were flashing rapidly, being born and destroyed, the interweaving starlight in the universe formed a shining and ethereal spiral, and the tiny meteors were bright and dazzling, crossing the nothingness that was deeper than the legendary Abyss of God.
The wind suddenly stopped, and when Charles came to his senses again, he found that his thinking had broken through some kind of barrier and he no longer needed to think linearly like humans.
He didn't even need to think. Any doubts and troubles no longer existed in front of Charles because the answers were there.
A fish swam past Charles. The ordinary sea fish turned into a line in front of Charles. The front part of the line represented the life of the fish, and the back half represented the death of the fish.
He succeeded and became the higher-dimensional being mentioned by 005.
Human nature is fleeting, and with a slight movement in his mind, Charles began to modify the rules in an attempt to reverse the time of Earthsea.
But just as Charles was about to make a move, he suddenly stopped, because he knew he couldn't do it, even now he still couldn't do it.
Somehow, Charles seemed to feel that he had something extra.
"What more?" Charles, who is almost omniscient, tried to find the answer.
Charles quickly searched all over the earth and sea, and soon he found that the last bit of his humanity was still there.
Although I can retain my humanity, this is not a good thing. This is different from what 005 said. It seems that I have not become a higher-dimensional being.
No wonder he still can’t change the laws of time. He is still missing something. He must do it as soon as possible.
Under Charles' control, time began to reverse again, this time going back to more than ten years ago, when he had just arrived in Earthsea.
The boy in school uniform sat on the wooden boat in fear, holding the smartphone in one hand and looking at the dark ocean around him in the light of the boat lights.
Charles saw his past self, and he also saw his own eyes in the water. This was more than he could bear. At the first glance, the body of the young Charles began to swell and deform rapidly, and he eventually fainted.
However, Charles did not come back this time to find his past self, but to find the passage that sent the surface of the past to the Earth Sea.
Although the passage that brought the young man down by himself disappeared, Charles captured it again by simply moving time backwards.
The tunnel was not big, just big enough for a small wooden boat to pass through. You could tell at a glance that it was specially built.
But now Charles no longer cares who sent him down. He just wants to complete his mission peacefully and leave.
Through that passage, Charles finally arrived at the surface that he had always dreamed of seeing.
Maybe if the obsession with Earthsea was still there, Charles would be very excited, but now he has no emotions at all.
When Charles really stood on the surface, he stopped where he was. Why was the surface here a little different from the surface he had been to before
The tall buildings disappeared, the humans on the earth disappeared, and even the sun and moon in the sky disappeared.
There are only meteors in the sky now. There are no stars or any celestial bodies above. There is nothing here, just nothingness.
"Something is wrong. There is not even oxygen here. How did I survive as a teenager?" Charles was thinking about this question.
His omniscience seemed to be of no use here. Everything here was broken. This was not even a world.
Just as Charles was thinking about this question, he felt someone calling him. "Who is calling me?"
Charles' eyes opened and blinked slightly, and his sight was connected to something else, which was a flesh tentacle standing upright in the circular lake.
On the opposite shore of the lake, Charles saw a girl with a delicate face and a look of hostility among the crowd of people lying on the ground.
The person was very familiar. It was his wife Anna whom he sent to the surface.
In a flash, Charles had already figured out how he was going to deal with the other party.
"Anna, long time no see, I really missed you." Dozens of mouths on the tentacles slowly opened and spoke, their tone pretending to be full of love for her.
At this moment, Charles finally understood why 005 looked so much like a human. It turned out that it was really easy to pretend.
Charles saw Anna slowly walking through the crowd and stepping onto the lake surface that had turned into flesh and blood. Charles controlled the flesh and blood that was like a red carpet on the water surface and carried her forward slowly.
When she came in front of the huge tentacle, Anna suddenly went crazy, punching and kicking the tentacle wildly to vent her dissatisfaction.
"You selfish bastard! You only think about yourself in everything. You have never thought about me!"
"For you, I've changed so much, I've paid so much, but what's your reward? You just threw me on this damn surface?!"
Two proliferating hands grew out of the tentacles, and they stretched longer and longer until they finally hugged the hysterical Anna. "I'm sorry, my love."
When flesh and blood touched his wife, Charles understood her emotions and everything about her clearly.
He could even guess the other person's actions. In his eyes, the other person was just a solid object.
"My love, what an ironic name." Charles tried hard to protect the last bit of humanity.
Anna struggled to break free from Charles' embrace, and she pounced on the tentacles like a female leopard and started biting them.
Biting alone seemed unable to reduce the anger in her heart, and Anna even used corrosive fire to burn Charles' flesh.
The flesh that Anna had torn into pieces gradually turned into a bloody mouth, kissing her. Anna tried to struggle, but her body was entangled by the tentacles.
Anna struggled violently but eventually slowed down and finally started to bite the huge tentacle.
"Do I really love her? Why should I love her? What's the point of such low-level perception?" Charles thought puzzledly as he watched his wife's abnormal behavior.
