Shrouded Seascape

Chapter 664: Falling

Just as Charles continued to pierce the airbag, a hand stretched out from the deflated airbag and grabbed Charles' chest directly.

Charles raised the chainsaw and chopped towards the hand, but found that the hand was directly penetrated as if it were a virtual body. It was Linda's hand.

She used her special abilities to easily break through Charles's obstruction and directly pinched his heart.

The feeling of having someone pinching his heart was very strange. Charles could feel that Linda was trying to pull his heart out.

But no matter how hard she used, Charles didn't feel any pain. His heart had already crystallized and was not much different in hardness from stone. It seemed that simply pulling had no effect.

Then, Charles looked at Linda emerging from the deflated air bag in front of him. His heart moved slightly, and his body flashed directly into the dark sky next to him, away from Linda's control.

"Bang, bang!" Two low gunshots rang out instantly, and Charles' left arm joints gradually withered and sunken like flowers as he fell downward.

"What is that!?" Charles quickly turned into a bat, steadied his body, and looked for the thing that attacked him.

Immediately, we saw that on the deck below, Second Mate Nico was stuffing small balls of meat into the barrel of his gun from the front.

It was obvious that what he stuffed was something with powerful corrosive power.

Seeing Nico pointing the gun at him again, Charles flapped his wings hard and quickly disappeared in front of everyone.

The huge searchlight beam and deck gun immediately followed, but Charles' voice could not be found.

"Bang!" The entire Narwhal shook violently, making it impossible for people on the deck to stand steadily.

Lily raised her little paw and pointed at the air bag above her head, and loudly reminded others: "Mr. Charles is up there! He went up again, and he wants to let the air out of the balloon!"

As her sharp squeak sounded, a group of mice quickly climbed up along the ropes of the airbag.

As the airbags were continuously cut, the altitude of the Narwhal was gradually decreasing.

Just as Charles opened his ferocious mouth and forcefully inserted his sharp blood-sucking teeth into the air bag once again, the other crew members had already caught up from below.

Dipper always rushed in the front. He turned into a ball of blue mist and wrapped around Charles.

Just as he wrapped Charles' whole body, a small cloud of mist immediately condensed and moved his arms towards Charles' waist.

Dipper was now wearing that kind of crimson fur relic. If he touched it, Charles' soul would probably be pulled out directly.

Just before the contact, Charles flapped his wings violently, and a strong gust of wind quickly blew away the misted Dipper.

In mist form, he is not afraid of any physical attack, but he is very afraid of this kind of strong wind.

It was obvious that they knew Charles's background, but Charles also knew their weaknesses.

Just after dealing with Dipper, two bats appeared from Charles' body, and they opened their fangs and bit hard towards his neck.

Charles instantly released his bat form, and because his body shrank rapidly, the attacks of the two men missed.

Charles raised his head and glanced at the two of them. Transparent tentacles with electric arcs instantly wrapped around the two bats, and they fell downwards trembling.

But at this moment, the thorny vines had spread from under the airbag to Charles' calf.

This is the power of the bandage. Charles knew it was almost time to retreat. If he took it off again, he would be surrounded and killed by his own crew.

When he appeared again, Charles had already appeared in the dark sky. Charles looked at the Narwhal which had begun to descend rapidly and couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

"Now I don't need to do anything. I just need to let the crew members slowly move away from 005-3 and wait for their minds to be out of control."

"The main cause of the current crisis is the brainwashed crew. As long as they regain their sanity, the crisis will be over."

The Narwhal was descending at a rapid speed of two meters per second, and Charles was following far behind in the darkness.

This harmonious yet strange scene lasted for about half an hour, but was interrupted by something that suddenly jumped out of the darkness.

There was a dull "bang" sound, and Charles, who was flying in the air, felt as if someone raised a hammer and hit him in the lower back.

There was a crisp sound of bone cracking, and a bone in Charles' waist broke.

Charles disappeared from his original position in an instant and appeared 30 meters away. He opened his ferocious mouth and sent detection sound waves towards his previous location.

However, after the sound wave is sent out, there is no reflection wave coming back, so there is nothing.

"What? How is that possible?! Could it be that the thing that hit my waist has no substance?"

Charles had no idea what kind of monsters could be born in this darkness, as humans knew very little about this place.

"Hu~Hong~" A strange sound suddenly rang in Charles' ears, similar to the sound of an insect flapping its wings.

The transparent tentacles instantly stretched out from Charles' back and swung behind him, but still hit nothing.

This strange scene seemed like it was haunted. Charles looked around vigilantly to prevent a sudden attack from the other party.

But soon after more than ten seconds, nothing happened. It seemed to have gone away and never appeared again.

Seeing that the thing did not appear again, Charles did not wait any longer. He folded his wings and began to fall rapidly. He had to be fast. In just a short while, he could no longer see the Narwhal.

Fortunately, not much time had passed, and Charles soon found the descending Narwhal.

After being unable to observe clearly from a distance, Charles thought about it and his body quickly became ethereal and disappeared into the air.

The deck of the Narwhal was in chaos at this time, and everyone was very anxious.

"Chief Engineer! Repair the spacecraft quickly! Can't you see it's still descending?"

Odrick retorted impatiently. "The airbag is broken, how can you ask me to repair it! Besides, I'm just the chief engineer, responsible for the mechanical maintenance of the turbine compartment!!"

"Then what should we do now? Someone please think of a solution quickly! If we can't go back, the ceremony can't continue!" Grace stamped her feet anxiously, tears welling up in her eyes.

"Throw... things..." Bandage's words made everyone react immediately. They began to rush into the cabin excitedly, taking out the things inside and throwing them over the edge of the ship.
