Chapter 753: Lily

"You guys go. I won't go." Lily, with droopy ears, squatted on her own grave and said to the mice who came to report.

Since Lily wasn't going to the party, the other mice certainly wouldn't go either. They gathered together and looked at their king quietly.

In the bright sunshine, Lily's hair was shining, and the tips of the white hair on her body were once again being eroded by gold. It was estimated that it would not be long before her body would turn golden again.

Next to Lily's grave, there was a small fist-sized mound of earth with a crooked blade of grass stuck on it.

That was the tomb that Lily built for Pope Ledger with her own hands. The tomb looked very small and seemed like it was built for fun.

She didn't know why she did it, but she did it anyway.

Ledger, who appears to be a cute blond boy, but is actually a 130-year-old fanatic believer in the God of Light.

He finally died. He killed countless people but finally died trying to save others. It has to be said that this is a very ironic thing.

Lily, feeling a little depressed, walked to the small grave and stared at it blankly, tears flowing from her eyes unknowingly.

"Why am I crying again? I obviously don't want to cry."

Lily wiped her tears with her little paws and turned to walk out of the cemetery. "Grandpa Doctor, I'm leaving now. I'll come see you next time."

When they walked out of the cemetery illuminated by the sun, Lily's tears finally stopped. She raised her head and walked towards home while looking at the giants hurrying around her.

The people of Hope Island have become accustomed to a large group of colorful mice. Except for some children pointing at Lily and her friends, everyone else is doing their own thing.

Although she was accompanied by a large group of rats, Lily seemed a little lonely. She was not paying attention to the scenery on the streets around her, but was thinking about her own things. "The expeditionary fleet I sent out earlier should have passed through the V12 containment point, right?"

When she thought of this, Lily's expression became very conflicted. For no reason, she thought of what Shanshan had said.

Bringing parents from another world over is not necessarily a good thing. It is also a matter of hurting parents for your own sake.

"It's not too late to call them back now, but I really miss them."

In this tangled mood, Lily unknowingly came to the door of the Governor's Mansion, and then walked in under the watchful eyes of guards with guns in their hands.

In the spacious hall, a black cat jumped down from the wooden table next to it and licked Lily affectionately with its thorny tongue.

This is Heihei, one of the two kittens Lily raised. Except for meal time, it appears in the kitchen on time and meows at the chef. Most of the time, it wanders around the Governor's Mansion.

It can be said to be the best creature living on the entire Hope Island. It has free food and free accommodation, and can do whatever it wants and go wherever it wants.

This kind of life is not even comparable to that of the Governor of Hope Island. At least as a cat, it does not have to think about how to solve the threat to the Earth Sea every day.

"Heihei, you are still comfortable. You don't have to worry about anything. Why am I a mouse? It would be great if I were a cat. At least I would be bigger." Lily stroked its chin gently.

The cat Heihei suddenly lay down next to Lily, rubbing his head against hers and snoring.

Just when Lily was having fun playing with the cat, she saw Anna in a tight silk dress walking along the corridor.

Anna's mouth corners slightly raised, revealing a smile on her face. She didn't look at Lily, but walked out directly.

Only after seeing Anna disappear at the end of the corridor did Lily heave a sigh of relief. "Monster sister is so scary now. Can Mr. Charles really stand staying with her every day?"

Just after saying this, Lily's eyes suddenly lit up, "Yes! Maybe I should ask Mr. Charles about this problem? Maybe he has a good solution!!"

The little white mouse climbed onto the black cat's back and rode it towards Charles' workshop.

Lily quickly found Charles, who was sitting on a stool with his arms folded across his chest and his eyes closed, seemingly thinking about something.

"Mr. Charles? Are you free now?" Lily asked carefully, sticking half of her body out from the crack in the door.

Charles opened his eyes, and when he saw that it was Lily, a hint of tenderness flashed in his eyes. "Is there something wrong?"

Lily was quickly pushed onto the table by the colorful mice, and she quickly climbed onto Charles' outstretched right hand.

"Mr. Charles, isn't it over now? Why do you still look a little unhappy?" Lily asked curiously.

"Over? It's far from over." Looking at Lily in front of him, Charles didn't want to talk to her about an extremely serious topic. He put his palms together, stroked Lily's body, and asked, "What do you want me to do?"

Lily leaned gently on Charles' finger and told him the difficult problem about her father.

Hearing Lily talking about her parents, Charles thought of himself in that parallel world and the V12 that could travel through parallel worlds.

"Bringing your parents into this world is indeed not a good thing. They don't belong to this world." Charles gave his advice.

"But I miss them so much. If I hadn't gone to see our parents on the island, I would have forgotten what they looked like." Lily said shyly.

Charles put Lily in front of him and said, "Then you can change your mindset. When everything is over, you can go back."

Lily stared blankly at the face in front of her, tears welling up in her big eyes. She said very aggrievedly: "Mr. Charles, don't you want me anymore? Am I useless?"

Charles held Lily in his arms and caressed her gently, "Of course not. My old home is no longer here, but I still remember that special warmth. I understand how you feel now. That's your home, you can go home."

Lily opened her little paws and threw her whole body on Charles, her tears soaking Charles' clothes. "But... I can't bear to leave you either."

Charles' heart ached, he lowered his head and kissed Lily on the head. "Everything will be fine, leave everything to me, don't worry."

"Yeah." Lily arched her back in his arms and raised her head. "Mr. Charles, do you still remember what I looked like when I was a human?"

The image of the girl who looked like a green apple flashed through Charles' mind, "Yeah."
