In the semicircular tunnel, Dipper held a torch and followed other Crown Islanders in white robes, walking forward silently. The sound of their footsteps could be heard far away in the empty tunnel.
Not long after, the surrounding environment began to change. The smooth red walls began to show traces of bumps and holes, including explosion holes, bullet holes, and other messy expansions.
Although it can be seen that someone has repaired it, it still doesn't look much better.
Dipper clenched his hands tightly, he remembered this place, these traces of battle were obviously left after he and the captain fought with the giant spider.
These traces made Dipper absolutely certain that this island was the same one as before. When he was fighting with the Foundation, Dipper still clearly remembered that this floating island also helped.
This is Hope Island’s property. How dare these cultists take it away!
Dipper secretly made up his mind that no matter whether there were any clues here, he would report to Bandage as soon as he got out and ask them to send out the navy to occupy this place.
Just as Dipper was thinking about these questions in his mind, the light in front of him gradually brightened, and a purely circular super-large space appeared in front of him.
Not only is the building in this place strange in appearance, but the location where it is built is also strange. The walls and ceiling are covered with buildings of varying heights.
The figures of believers in white robes appear and disappear among these buildings. No matter what this place was used for originally, it is now their territory.
When the people in these cities saw Dipp's team, their faces were full of respect, and they all made a mark with their hands on their chests with the tiger's mouth facing inward.
"The great God is sleeping, and we must be careful to slow down and avoid waking Him."
After the leader finished speaking, he carefully put down the torch in his hand and began to walk quietly, and the others did the same.
"God? Is the god they worship Winky? I heard that some people on the island worship the captain's daughter as a god. If she came here to become a god, then it makes sense for her to abandon her previous place."
A guess flashed through Dipper's mind, and then another personality in his mind began to discuss this guess.
"I don't think that's right. If my sister really wanted to have her own religion, she would have already had it given her abilities. It's impossible that they are worshipping her."
No matter how absurd this conjecture was, Dipper decided to judge with his own eyes. He also held the torch in his hand and did the same thing as the other believers.
This three-dimensional city is really big. After walking for nearly an hour, they finally arrived at their destination surrounded by various densely packed houses.
It was an extremely strange temple. First, it was black, and second, it was tilted and looked like it might collapse at any time.
Both the wall coverings and the outside of the roof were hung with previous scribbled, hysterical paintings, and these strange paintings swayed gently in the breeze.
The gate of the temple was round and it was pitch black inside. Even with Dipu's night vision glasses, he couldn't see what was inside.
There is a circular platform outside the temple, and this is Deep and his friends' destination.
“Kneel down with me and enjoy God’s blessing.” The leader said this excitedly, and he lay on the platform trembling like a frog.
Seeing that everyone else had done the same, Dipper also lay down, and for a moment the entire platform was covered with people. "Lights out~!"
"Something's wrong, this god is definitely not Shining!" Dipper gently lifted his sleeve, revealing the long tip of a black thorn.
The sucking sound was getting closer and closer, and it was already close to above Dipper. Dipper smelled a foul odor like a rotting corpse.
This situation was not within Dipper's consideration. He came to this island to explore the secrets of the world's crown islanders, but he didn't expect that he would come here as a sacrifice.
"No, no matter what these guys are sacrificing, I have to get out of here as soon as possible and look for clues about Winky and the Captain!"
Just when Dipper felt something pressing against his cervical vertebrae from behind, his body gradually turned into mist and quietly drifted away along the ground, and his white robe quickly shrank.
The darkness gave Dipper the best cover, and while everyone else was lying down, he escaped without disturbing anyone.
Dipper's body condensed in a triangular room on the ceiling. He stuck his head out and looked down cautiously.
Finally at this moment, he saw the appearance of their god, or to be exact, a part of their god. Extending from the temple was a tube as thick as an arm.
The wrinkles on the outside look like an elephant's trunk, but no elephant's trunk is translucent. At the top of the trunk is a weird suction cup that splits like a lamprey's mouth.
The suction cup skillfully cut open the clothes of the islanders, lay on them and sucked, and some of the things on the people flowed into the black temple along the long nose.
"What is this?" Dipper frowned.
The suction cup moved very quickly, and soon it sucked up everyone on it. Then it slowly rotated and retracted into the strange temple.
The lights began to light up again, and those who had been sucked did not die unexpectedly. With excited expressions, they excitedly showed the marks on their bodies to their companions.
When they saw the white robe left behind, they all showed envious expressions, and they thought that this person must have been taken away by God.
Dipper looked at the lively crowd below and thought for a while, then his body turned into mist again and he began to grope downwards. He didn't care what that thing was, his first goal now was to see if there were any clues in this place.
Although Dipper was semi-illiterate and had difficulty reading even newspapers, he had spent so many years in the three locations on Hope Island and had learned other methods, such as interrogation techniques.
After quickly wandering around the city a few times, the misted man entered a room that looked quite grand.
"Wuwuwu~Wuwuwu!!" A man was trapped on a chair in the basement, struggling hard, looking at the terrifying fishman in front of him with horror in his eyes.
Dipper raised the black thorn and slowly moved in front of him, his mouth full of sharp teeth opening and closing. "You'd better answer my questions truthfully, otherwise I can't guarantee that you will die comfortably after what happens next."
