Nan Kang Bai Qi (04/13/1980 – 03/?/2008) wrote two autobiographical pieces in his life: “Six Records of a Floating Life,” and “Waiting Until 35 Years old.”

“Six Records of a Floating Life” recounts tidbits from the seven years (1999-2006) that Nan Kang and his boyfriend, who he refers to as “husband,” were together. From their first meeting as college first-years, to their cohabiting daily life in their 20s.

In 2006, their relationship ended, and Nan Kang wrote “Waiting Until 35 Years Old.”

进藤忽然想起，以前恋人学习汉语时，自己凑过去捣乱，无意中瞥见的一句：
每到红时便成灰。
恋人曾细细地同他讲解，但是那时，他不懂得。
现在，对照着眼前的景物，进藤觉得，好像明白了一些什么。
再往高处，连黑褐色的叶子也落尽了，只剩下枯瘦的荒枝，而日光山顶，已经开始下雪了。
那不是普通的雪，细小的几乎无法辨认，那么一丁点儿轻飘的白，好似风飘过的身姿，飘过了便算，不落丝毫痕迹。
进藤摊开手掌，雪并不着身，虽然明明是落在了掌心，也只有那一瞬儿的凉，便似空气一般化去了。
在鬼怒川的温泉旅馆里，进藤听旅馆的女将说起，这样的雪，叫做风花。
只在风中开放，在风里凋谢。
在第一场雪还没有来临之前，会下一两次风花，接下来就是细雪了。

是的。
红叶凋零了，还可以期待风花。
风花过后，仍可以期待细雪。
细雪过后呢？
