This simple question made Ou Ming's heart suddenly ache.
Yu Lili's face was filled with a look of doubt and a hint of embarrassment.
He moved away slightly and stopped pressing on her. After taking off his coat, Ou Ming lay down beside her, kissed her hair and whispered, "No, maybe my mother has some misunderstandings about you. Once I explain it to her, she will understand."
"Really?" Yu Lili was a little depressed. She looked up at Ou Ming's face and smiled slightly. "Go back. Your mother should be waiting for you at home."
"I want to be with you," Ou Ming leaned over and pressed her under him, saying, "Let's go back tomorrow." As he spoke, he lowered his head and brought his lips close to her face.
Yu Lili turned her head slightly to avoid his kiss. Deep in her eyes, she clearly felt sad and disappointed. She whispered, "You should go back. I don't want to do it now."
Ou Ming's eyes deepened slightly, he held her in his arms and said, "Then let's not do it, let's chat."
After hearing this, Yu Lili turned over and faced him.
Then she lowered her head, crawled into his arms, hugged his waist with one hand, and called out, "Ou Ming."
"Yeah." Ou Ming hugged her and gently kissed the dark head in front of him, "I'm here."
"Ou Ming, I'm curious about something, but I've never dared to ask you. Now I want to ask, can you answer me?" Yu Lili looked up at him, her dark eyes seemed to be covered with a layer of wet mist.
Ou Ming looked at her and clearly sensed her uneasiness. He reached out and gently brushed away the hair on her forehead and asked, "What's the matter?"
Winter nights always come faster. It is already five o'clock in the afternoon and the light in the room has dimmed.
In the dim light, Ou Ming's eyes beside him seemed particularly bright.
A pair of eyes looked at him, shining brightly, with pity, love, guilt, and a few inexplicable... pity.
"Ou Ming," Yu Lili looked at Ou Ming, her heartbeat getting faster and faster, almost trembling, almost numb. Unconsciously, she tightened her grip on his clothes slightly and asked, "Will you really marry me?"
Ou Ming didn't expect her to ask such a question. He was startled for a moment, but soon looked at her firmly and said with certainty, "Yes."
"Really?"
"Of course," Ou Ming looked at her, his big hands running through her short hair, his peach blossom eyes blazing, "I won't marry another woman. I promise you, you are my only wife, and it can only be you."
Yu Lili felt a lump in her throat and buried her head in his arms.
Ou Ming lowered his eyes to look at her, and said in a hoarse voice, "I will take care of my mother's situation."
Qiao Ziqing was in poor health, so he couldn't confront her and could only convince her step by step.
Now, the biggest obstacle standing between them is Yu Lili's identity.
Ou Ming knew what was going on. He hugged her and asked in a low voice, "Yu, have you met your parents?"
"No, I grew up in an orphanage since I can remember. How could I have ever seen my parents?" Yu Lili chuckled. "Even my name was chosen by the director. It snowed in Cannes that year, which is said to be a rare occurrence in fifty years. It was also the poorest time. The weather was bad, and a child didn't survive and froze to death. The milk that was originally intended for that child happened to be left over, so it was a good deal for me, so I was named Yu Lili."
