Fengjiu has been here for several months and has not gone out. Now she heard that the once-in-five-year city lord election has begun, and Qi Kang also plans to run for the position of landlord in East City District. She couldn't help but smile.
"The election should be a regional election, right? There's nothing interesting to watch at the beginning. Let's wait until the final election of the last four districts to watch!" Fengjiu sat in the pavilion, poured tea and took a sip, speaking slowly.
Hearing this, Du Fan smiled and said, "Yes, this is the beginning of the auditions. I heard that there are quite a few people participating. Master wants to see the final election, so we can prepare for it and it won't be too late to watch it then."
The four city lords of Lingxian City compete in an election every five years. The judges are the elders and venerables sent by Lingxiao Xianzong. It is not only a competition of strength, but also the ability to manage and courage.
Many people are keeping an eye on this election for the grand ceremony held once every five years. If one is lucky enough to win the position of city lord of one of the four districts, not only will his status be elevated, but his name will also spread far and wide. After all, this is one of the largest cities on the continent, and the position of city lord is like a piece of fat meat that no one wants to miss.
To be in charge of any district in Lingxian City and to be in charge of the families and forces in that district, such power naturally makes people want to compete for it.
"Master, I'm going to go out and take a look. Is there anything you need to buy? Or anything you want to eat? I'll bring it back." Du Fan said, his eyes falling on Feng Jiu.
She had originally thought that she had been staying at home since she came here, and now that there was something exciting going on, she would accompany her master to go out and see what was going on. However, it was obvious that her master did not want to watch the preliminary election. Although her master did not want to go, he had to go.
After settling down here, he could see the strength of various forces and get information from all sides through such a bustling scene. Even if it was the primary election, he had to go and take a look.
"See what special snacks there are on the street and bring some back for me!" Fengjiu sat leisurely with one hand on her cheek, smelling the faint floral scent in the air and feeling the gentle breeze on her face. She couldn't help but yawn and felt a little sleepy.
"Okay." Du Fan responded with a smile and then stepped back.
Leng Shuang came over from not far away, and seeing Feng Jiu looking tired, she asked, "Master, do you want to go back and sleep for a while?"
"Well, I'm a little sleepy. I'll go back to sleep for a while." She stroked her belly with one hand and slowly stood up. She felt that her body was getting heavier day by day, and she even felt tired after walking for a long time.
It is indeed not easy to get pregnant, and it is even more difficult to have twins!
Leng Shuang went forward to support her and walked back with her carefully. At this time, her voice could be heard coming out slowly.
“Haven’t they heard anything about the Ancient Golden Lotus yet?” Feng Jiu asked slowly.
"Not yet." Leng Shuang said, and then added: "But I found one of the spiritual herbs that the master asked me to find."
Perhaps it was because there had been no news for too long, Fengjiu no longer felt lost and just said, "Let them continue to inquire."
"Yes." Leng Shuang responded, helped her back to the main courtyard, and then stood guard outside the room after they entered.
In the room, Feng Jiu lay on her side with one hand on her belly. Feeling the two little lives in her belly, she couldn't help but reveal a kind and gentle smile. After thinking for a while, she had an idea.
